The faulty logic at the heart of these conspiracies is that the 'elites' would want a lockdown in the first place. Rather it's the opposite: elites, particularly those in control of capital, have been pushing especially hard against any sort of COVID response measures by governments and against lockdowns or other restrictions on peoples' activities, which would necessarily cut down on their ability to continue business as normal.

Good point, although there is one company that wants stricter lockdowns: Amazon. The lockdown has forced more people to buy stuff online, so they are pretty much the only major corporation benefiting from shutdowns and restrictions on movement.

Much like the feudal nobility, corporations will hold all of the power under neo-feudalism. The actual state/federal government will be reduced to the position of the king, which, contradictory to popular belief, did not have much power beyond being lord of his own estate. A feudal king was more like a mediator for the interests of the noble class, something like a speaker of the house who everyone agreed would get a tie-breaking vote when the situation called for it.

As for something not specific to feudalism, but European feudalism specifically, you have the clergy forming a separate class from the nobility and the peasantry. In material terms, the clergy was essentially an institution of grifters, and in neofeudalism, we see mass media taking on the same role. Wokeness and pop culture take the place of Christianity. Journalists and celebrities take the place of priests.
