I used the sapply political compass to graph where each party is. The sapply compass splits off the conservative-progressive axis from the auth-lib axis.

Right now the Democratic Socialist party has a plurality in both chambers and has the presidency, its main competitor is the United Republican party which is the 2nd largest party in both chambers. The Democratic Socialists are in a coalition with the Progressive and Social Democratic parties. The Social Democratic party is the 3rd largest party in both chambers. The 4th being the Liberty Party, 5th in the upper chamber is the Conservative Party which is 6th in the lower chamber, 5th place in the lower chamber is the Progressive Party which is 6th in the upper chamber. Those are the 6 parties currently represented in federal government.

Parties? Yes, I suppose I have heard of such term from other civilizations, I think I know what you are talking about.

Well, as the sole ruler of The united kingdom of Elyrion, I am the only 'party' that really exists. Now, of course, there are others within the Elyrion nation which have different ideological beliefs, like the ultra - conservative 'Elyrion zealots', who follow our religion even more devoutly than the average Elyrion citizen, which is actually rather impressive honestly. But, never mind about that, you don't need to hear about our issues, do you?

I would classify myself as a fair, and honorable socialist, as you other nations would put it, I reckon. I only have the people's best interest at heart, as if I didn't, I would've voluntarily stepped off the throne an age ago.
So, the monarchy is the only 'party' in our grand nation, but of course, that may always be up for change, as any nation's politics would.

I appreciate the question. I'm glad to bring prominence to our unique nation, in whatever way that may happen.

Pycos is effectively a one-party state ruled only by members of the Pycos Party. The government itself likes to refer to itself as a "no-party state", as the ideological line of the Pycos Party is not defined. Despite that, the Pycos Party has a certain ideological trend of authoritarian left.

To compare, several political movements are also listed next to the Pycos Party:
-Fyntow Movement: A movement to put economic pressure on Pycos to initiate a soft coup by Sam Fyntow, so the movement was banned after Fyntow's arrest.
-Pycos Reform: An internal movement within the Pycos Party itself, now banned, that advocated for direct voting alongside a socialist market structure, once supported by large-firm managers.
-IST: The Interstellar Socialist Tendency, a small political organization, has been permitted in Pycos on the basis that it does not operate as a political party. They advocate for a socialist republic that operates differently to the way Pycos currently operates, but they remain cordial with the way the current government operates. Some labor unions on the planet are affiliated with IST, but that is the limit of their power.

Jershaland has four political parties in Parliament. The Jershan National Party, Liberal Party, Conservative Party, and Socialist Party of Jershaland.

The Jersha National Party is a very broad tent party, but could be classified as center-left due to its support for traditionally social democratic policies. It espouses Jershan nationalism and supports a strong central government, causing some to classify it as authoritarian.

Ru is a constitutional monarchy with very strong elements of representational democracy in it's legislative branch, executive branch, and in local governance. It is essentially a two party state, with the rival Ruvian Traditional Conservative Party (RTCP) and the Ruvian Liberal Democratic Party (RLDP) constantly vying against each other for ultimate supremacy over Ruvian politics, as well as the hearts, minds, and votes of the Ruvian public.



The RTCP currently enjoys an incredibly narrow 2 seat majority over the RLDP in the Imperial Senate, and the current Imperial Hand, Mr. Mashwell Marrakesh, is a member of the RTCP as well.

The above chart represents the "mainstream" position of the respective parties. Individual representatives can vary significantly but the great majority of them can be expected to hover at least somewhat close to these positions.

Radiatia has two main political parties, the broadly left-leaning Social Democratic Union (SDU) and broadly right-leaning Liberal-Conservative Party (LCP) - however as both parties are broad tent parties with a diverse range of views internally, I felt I'd include every Presidential administration since Radiatia became a democracy:



While I'd personally reject the stereotype that Radiatia is a "right-wing" country, the fact that most candidates are in the auth right quadrant does somewhat aid the argument.

What's notable here of course is the vast differences between candidates of the same party.

The incumbent President, Steven McCarthy is one of just two to fall in the libertarian right column. McCarthy is outspokenly socially liberal - opposing the death penalty, supporting immigration and most famously, legalising marijuana on a federal level. By Radiatian standards, McCarthy is considered hard to the left but by world standards he is still on the right of the spectrum (albeit very close to centre).

By contrast, McCarthy's predecessor and fellow Social Democrat Jaagen Autenberg was without doubt Radiatia's furthest left-wing President on an economic scale but was also one of the most socially conservative.

As even even further contrast, Keldon Silviu (also a Social Democrat) actually sits in the middle of the auth right quadrant - a President who by world standards would well and truly be considered centre-right but in Radiatia was considered to centrist at best, if not left-wing.

Keldon Silviu's neoliberal politics contrast a little with his father Traiyan Silviu whose politics were a little harder to define. As Radiatia's first post-communist leader, Traiyan Silviu was responsible for dismantling a lot of inefficient state apparatus and transitioning Radiatia to capitalism - yet Silviu himself remained ideologically a socialist and later in his term sought to reverse many of the reforms that were begun in his first term as he considered them too extreme.

Interestingly, despite their often more conservative rhetoric, the three LCP administrations were all much more socially liberal than the majority of SDU administrations.

Angela Pavlovic, the one-time thorn in the side of Keldon Silviu went on lead a government that was not ideologically dissimilar to the one she so heartily decried. To be sure, she was slightly further right economically and her immigration policy means she's considered more liberal but between them Silviu and Pavlovic were Radiatia's most centrist Presidents - at least by national standards.

Gregori Fyoderov was unashamedly Radiatia's most libertarian President, seeking to shrink the federal government, tackle bureaucracy and disengage from foreign conflicts. While the dark tools of the federal government were ultimately his undoing, he still did much to increase transparency and battle corruption despite the controversies around his personal life (and his impeachment).

Fyoderov's mentor Soden Larssen had similar economic policies, but a more conservative government - although at the time Larssen was considered radically libertarian, perhaps opening the doors to Fyoderov and McCarthy to push the boundaries on social liberalism.

Derro Vahnsehn was not a Liberal-Conservative as President though he did join the LCP later in life. His administration was undoubtedly the most controversial in Radiatian history - his radical economic reforms saw widespread privatisation and the rise of corrupt oligarchies while Vahnsehn's social policies cemented his position as a wannabe dictator responsible for a brief period of democratic backsliding.

On a similar note, Lena Toriah did not govern as a Social Democrat but joined the party after leaving office. By Radiatian standards she is often considered hard to the left, yet for every major government programme she founded, she also destroyed a lot of regulation and significantly subsidised big business and industry. Her government was also quite conservative although at the time she seemed liberal simply by contrast with her immediate predecessor, the crypto-fascist Derro Vahnsehn.
