The Galactic Morimpan Empire once ruled the void, its vast domain stretching from the rim to the core.

Millennia passed. Millennia waned.
New races stepped onto the galactic stage.
The Anshari first,
Reaching for the stars to quench their thrist.
The Ellians next,
Eager to prove that they're the best.
The Humans third,
Primitive savages following the herd.
Many others came as well
And in the sands of time many fell.
In the end none will stay
Unless they learn to live the Morimpan way.

- Translated Morimpan poem, author unknown.

Most worlds graced by the Dragon prospered and its peoples enjoyed unparalleled affluence. These worlds were adorned with marble palaces on its sea floors, gilded cities on its continents and obsidian rings in its orbits. These worlds were protected by the mightiest fleets that had ever been assembled, the bravest warriors the galaxy had ever seen and the brightest generals known to galactic history.

It was strange then, that these worlds fell. A forgotten footnote in galactic history. No one knows why - the ancient records show no traces of impending disaster - but seventy thousand years ago the greatest realm in the Milky Way had all but ceased to exist. The Galactic Morimpan Empire was no more and all that was left of the imperial core was a few withered husks orbiting a dying star. The Morimpan race had declined into obscurity and in their wake they left a million crying suns. The remnants of the Morimpan people retreated to their ancient homeworld of Morimpa and continued to live there as if nothing had happened.

But everything changed during the Hundred Borders Wars. As the galaxy burned with the fires of a hundred wars, the Dragon mobilised the Morimpan war machine. Shipyards that had been silent for seventy thousand years hummed with activity and began churning out dozens of warships per day. Legions were levied across every world that remained loyal to the Dragon's cause. Armies mustered. Fleets assembled. The Dragon had awoken from seventy thousand years of slumber and it hungered for conquest.

The Morimpan Reclamations were underway. Within months, two thousand systems belonging to two dozen nations had been vanquished. Those that surrendered were spared. Those that resisted were enslaved. And with each world that fell to the Morimpan conquest, the Dragon grew in strength. As the Morimpan war machine smashed through system after system, the nations of the galaxy were beginning to lose hope. But just as the quadrant was about to be overrun, the Ellians and their allies pushed back the invaders at Rastho Prime.

A narrow bridge between systems of Outpost, Causeway and Pabuko, Rastho Prime was the only way in and out of the Morimpan Sector. With this system secure, the Morimpan threat was contained and the denizens of the Milky Way could breathe a sigh of relief. But there was no telling how long the Dragon would be kept at bay and even as neighbouring states prepared their own invasion fleets to liberate the conquered systems, fouls games were afoot. The nations of the galaxy called their citizens to arms, but not everyone was fighting against the Morimpan Dragon.

Backstory
In the year of 12061HE, with the ascension of Kyv'Barada to the Morimpan throne, the Morimpan Empire began a series of aggressive military and diplomatic campaigns to expand their influence beyond their former core sector. These initiatives were part of a larger movement led by the imperial house of Kyv to rebuild the former Galactic Morimpan Empire, a galactic hegemony that had fallen some seventy thousand years ago and had spanned the entirety of the galactic disk at the peak of its power. While the exact motivations for these actions had never been explicitly stated in official records, the movement was in large part fuelled by the overpopulation of the Morimpan core.

For the past three thousand years, the population within the Empire's borders had been approaching the theoretical upper limit that the economy can sustain. Though agricultural innovations had increased the civilisation's carrying capacity manyfold, it had also contributed to faster growth, expansion and greater utilisation of natural resources. This naturally compelled the Morimpans to seek out and acquire new resources for utilisation, but with the existence of large and powerful neighbours all around them, this ambition had never been seriously contemplated by the weak-willed rulers of the Kyv bloodline.

This was until the ascension of High Sovereign Kyv'Barada 12061HE and the subsequent collapse of the Trans-Sagittarius Security Alliance that led to the Hundred Borders Wars. With the galaxy fractured and divided against itself, the Morimpan Empire saw the perfect opportunity to finally break out onto the galactic stage once more and reclaim its former glory. Mustering its armies and fleets, the Morimpan Empire poised itself to rule the galaxy once more and bring in a new golden age for the Morimpan species and its allies.

Backstory
The Haven star system never hosted any native lifeforms nor habitable worlds prior to Ellian colonisation in 12016HE. For much of Ellian spacefaring history, the Haven star system was ignored by spacefarers. The system did not lie along any major interstellar highway nor did it host any strategically valuable resources. Early Ellian colonists avoided the system as none of its worlds could be easily terraformed while later colonists concentrated on expanding into systems neighbouring the preestablished colonies and Haven was deemed too distant. It was not until 12061HE, with the ascension of Kyv'Barada to the Morimpan throne, that the strategic importance of a friendly Ellian star-state in the Rastho Prime Sector was realised.

The threat of a militarily active Morimpan Empire endangered the Ellian core and several plans were drawn up by the United Republic of Elliannia to colonise the unsettled systems in the Rastho Prime Sector. The Haven star system was among one of the most promising candidates, however the economic costs and the logistical challenges of constructing a brand new sectorial capital in a distant sector proved to be one of the key problems that ultimately contributed to the collapse of the Fifth Ellian Empire. The task of defending the Rastho Prime Sector now fell to the Duchy of Jinamoyo, who selected the third planet of the Haven star system to become the sectorial capital of the Rastho Prime Sector and drew up terraformation plans for the planet.

However, much like with the United Republic, the challenges of colonising Haven created delay after delay and the project was almost abandoned in favour of the strategically less important but much closer system of Dane. Ultimately, it was the founding of the Dominion of Elliannia under the leadership of the Ellian homeworld of New Kasmari that finally allowed the Haven project to get underway. Today, after almost a century of tireless labour, the Haven star system and its surrounding dependencies that formed the United Autonomous Republics stands as the first and last line of defence against the Morimpan threat.

Backstory
The Empire of Konstonopoul was once the mightiest power in the Rastho Prime Sector with absolute control over all trade routes leading in and out of the Rastho Prime Cooridor, granting it considerable wealth. Its strategic position and technological superiority relative to all native species was the empire's greatest assets. However, as a member of the Trans-Sagittarius Security Alliance, it was drawn into the TSSA Civil War - the war that split the TSSA into two splinter groups and ultimately lead to the fall of the TSSA - where it lost much of its naval assets and military manpower.

As a traditional human supremacist faction, Konstonopoul was a form purist in its traditions and philosophies, enforcing an oppressive baseline human regime that marginalised transhumanist and treated all alien species as second-class citizens or even slaves. But once without its armies and fleets, the Empire was unable to retain control over all of its territories and maintain dominance over its non-human population. It was not long before a growing splinter group of aliens and transhumanist initiated a rebellion that tore the empire into two. Battered and bruised, the Empire retreated back to its more easily defensible imperial core where it remains to this day.

However, with the rise of the Morimpan Empire threatening to overwhelm the greatest bastion of human freedom, the Empire of Konstonopoul was willing to temporarily concede its differences with the other alien species to fend off this much larger threat. The imperial army and navy gathered what forces it could muster and prepared to march into the heart of the Morimpan Empire with allied forces. Meanwhile, secret plans were in the works deep in the highest levels of Imperial society, putting in place the pieces that would undermine the other races and take back control of the Rastho Prime Sector for the betterment of the human race... And the detriment of all others.

Backstory
The Empire of Andriopol is a transhumanist star-state that broke away from the Empire of Konstonopoul following the TSSA Civil War. It is bitter rivals with the Empire of Konstonopoul, who regard them as rebels and refuses to recognise them as a sovereign state. For much of Andriopol's short history, its has been at war with the Empire of Konstonopoul, contesting the strategically important trade system of Causeway in the Rastho Prime Cooridor, with the system changing hands almost five times in the last decade.

The Empire of Andriopol has nominal control over the Rastho Prime star system and it was one of the few nations that fought against the Morimpan Empire prior to the First Battle of Rastho Prime and emerged victorious, though its successes were only limited to ground battles. As a splinter faction of Konstonopoul, Andriopol possesses the same technological superiority the empire possess over other races such as the Ellians. It is important to note that due to Andriopol's xenophilic outlook, the people of Andriopol believe that the Morimpans are misguided under their new ruler Kyv'Barada and believe that dethroning the Morimpan High Sovereign will lead to a swift end to this war.

Backstory
The Winterton House is an Ellian dynasty of independent warlords ruling over the star system of Hope, one of the five major routes to the Rastho Prime Corridor. Hope's strategic position allows the Wintertons to tax between a sixth to a third of all trade that passes through the Rastho Prime Corridor, granting them substantial wealth. The population of Hope is an even mixture of Ellians and Terrans. The Winterton House is an ally of the Empire of Kostonopoul and pays them tribute annually in exchange for protection.

As a trade empire, the Winterton's primary concern is the profit they can levy from interstellar trade and to that end, they place their bets on the Morimpan Empire emerging victorious in the following war. Secret treaties have already been struck with the Morimpan Empire stating that the Winterton House will remain an independent and autonomous vessel state under Morimpan control if the Morimpan Empire were to reach the Hope system. But for now, the profiteers were ready and willing to sell arms and hire out mercenaries to anyone willing to pay a pretty penny.

Backstory
The Gel'Durk Planetary Compact is a small space-faring federation composed of over five hundred Gel'Durk nations located on the Gel'Durk worlds of Nos'Goth, Las'Dore and Vul'Cant. The Gel'Durk Planetary Compact shares ownership of the Rastho Prime system with the United Iluliaq Nations and the Vaizgam Sovereignty. The Gel'Durk are the only native space-faring sovereign state of the Rastho Prime system, and as such it is often regarded as the de facto authority on matters concerning the Rastho Prime star system - at least for the inner system. As the owner of the Rastho Prime system, the Gel'Durk Planetary Compact took the brunt of the Morimpan Invasion of Rastho PRime, sustaining heavy losses to its orbital industry and fleet.

Premade Species

Morimpans

Morimpans are highly intelligent fish that rose to prominence on the Morimpan Homeworld of Morimpa. As an aquatic species, they were unable to develop space travel independently and had to rely on the assistance of other races to become spaceborne. Morimpans resemble large fish with particularly large heads and a pair of tentacle-whiskers that trail behind them in the water. They have an average lifespan of 32 years and the oldest specimens can live up to 40 years of age.

Biology

The average Morimpan has a head the same size as a human's head and is between 3-5 times its length as its height. Its tentacles are approximately twice the length of its body and the ends are lined with explosive cells capable of delivering stings to pursuing predators. Morimpans are carnivores and feed primarily on smaller fish and crustaceans like shrimp. Female Morimpans reach maturity at age 10 and can lay up to 9 eggs per year for the next 20 years. After fertilisation, male Morimpans carry the fertilised eggs in their mouths to protect them from predators.

Behaviour

Like most fish, Morimpans communicate by expanding and contracting their swim bladder, creating vibrations that can be transmitted through water. These sounds are generally referred to by xenobiologists as 'soft sounds.' Additionally, Morimpans can strike their teeth and bones together to produce 'hard sounds.' Morimpan language is a structured mixture of hard and soft sounds. Morimpans express their emotions by changing the colours of their skin. Some common colours include dull red for anger, orange to show aggression and warn away predators and sand grey for fear and camouflage.

Morimpans do not exhibit gender roles. Rather, their roles as warriors and workers are interchangeable depending on the season. During spawning season, older and more experienced Morimpans will serve as warriors while the younger Morimpans mate. After spawning season is over, young female Morimpans will serve as warriors while male Morimpans protect their eggs. Young male Morimpans will then serve as warriors after hatching season.

The Morimpan family structure is based on large schools of related kin who travel together. Schools can contain many hundreds to thousands of individuals and the duty of caring for young, foraging for food and protecting the group is shared evenly among all adult members. In modern times, urban Morimpan families often live in communal housing that can hold many dozens of individuals. Most clans live in very close proximity to each other and it is not uncommon for entire neighbourhoods to be controlled by a single clan.

Morimpan society is feudal with a long hierarchy of authority. At the top is the High Sovereign, the undisputed emperor of all Morimpankind. The High Sovereign appoints star lords to rule over individual star systems and these star lords appoint individual fief lords in turn. At each level, the lord promises their vassal support in times of crisis and protection in times of conflict. In return, the vassal provides his lord with soldiers and tribute in exchange for protection.

Morimpans possess a permanent warrior caste, the members of which exist for the sole purpose of being given by a vassal to his lord. These warriors are professional soldiers who often serve as elites both in civilian life and on the battlefield. The best of these warriors often form the personal retinues of their lords and may earn land and minor titles of nobility in exchange for their excellence in service.

Morimpans are highly spiritual and believe that in death, they will be judged by their gods for their deeds in life and their service to the High Sovereign, who is also a minor deity appointed by the gods to lead the Morimpan people. Those who have done well were sent to the afterlife while those who did evil were fed to Ghot'Phabuwa, the pet shark of the gods. The Morimpan pantheon is relatively small, with less than a dozen members. The most prominent deities in Morimpan society being Shuk'Tado, the God of the Sky and the God of Law and Order, Dorh'Zachaku, the Sun God and the God of War and Victory, and Hyah'Ruyoka, the Goddess of the Ocean and the Goddess of Agriculture, Beauty and Fertility.

Ellians

Ellius sapiens are a species of highly intelligent omnivorous humanoids hailing from the lost Ellian homeworld of Kasmari and are the only surviving members of the Ellius genus of which twelve members formerly existed. Ellians appear largely human but can be differentiated by their vast range of hair and eye colours which span the entirety of the visible spectrum. Due to the similarities between anatomically modern Ellians and anatomically modern humans, Ellians are more commonly known by the incorrect designation Homo ellius. Ellians are social animals and an individual can typically maintain stable social relationships with between 200 and 500 other individuals with the modern average being approximately 300.

Biology

Ellian body systems are largely analogous to human body systems though a close study may reveal differences in the shape of their skulls, limbs, joints and internal organs. The average height and weight for adult Ellian males is approximately 1.7 m and 77 kg while the average height and weight for Ellian females is approximately 1.6 cm and 60 kg. Ellians experience large variations in height, with individuals ranging from 1.5-2.1 m being commonplace. The average Ellian lifespan is 220 years and individuals can live up to 250 years.

Behaviour

Ellians are a culturally non-homogenous race with a long history. Thousands of languages have been created and use in Ellian history and several hundred have survived to this day. Most Ellians are multilingual, and understand their regional or national languages as well as the shared Ellian auxlang 'Modern Speak.' Modern is highly syllabic and is often rendered in either a syllabic script or an abugida. There are four major regional variations of Modern, all of which are mutually intelligible with each other.

Sexual dimorphism in the Ellian species is remarkably similar to those found in baseline humans. In Ellian society, the division of sexes is responsible for a division of roles, norms, practices, dress, behaviour and attitudes within the family unit, but rarely extends beyond. Unlike in most humanoid species, gender roles are featured far less prominently in public except in relation to self-expression (such as mannerisms and dress) and courtship. It is often expected for women to initiate courtship advances due to a natural imbalance in the Ellian sex ratio (10:11 males to females) that leads to increased competition among the female population.

The standard Ellian family unit is remarkably large, spanning up to six generations and consisting of anywhere between 14 and 62 individuals, though 30 is the most commonly cited average. In some cultures, the leader of the family is the eldest living person, unless that person is affected by some form of mental disability or disease, and in other cultures, the leader of the family is an appointed member of the second or third generation. Multiple families make up a clan, a sociopolitical group descended from a common ancestor. Multiple clans may come together to form a tribe, a geopolitical unit with defined borders, a permanent population and the capacity to organise large-scale conflict and enter into relationships with other tribes. In some cultures, multiple tribes are able to make up even larger and more powerful geopolitical entities, though this is considered uncommon.

Ellian society is often organised along the same lines as the Ellian family unit with a central father-like authority figure wielding ultimate authority. This has naturally lead to monarchies being the most stable form of governance for the Ellian species with long lines of rules perpetuating dynasties that can last thousands of years. In Ellian contemporary culture, the Emper or Emperess is considered to be a military leader and is not involved in the legislative process. Laws are made by a legislative assembly whose members are elected to represent their local area.

Ellians are highly religious, though their religion contains no gods. In the Ellian religion, all life (plants and animals) is considered to be sacred and to be protected. The Ellians believe that when they die, their spirits travel to the Spirit World where they will reincarnate back into the mortal world. Upon reincarnation the soul is wiped clean and turned into a blank slate, however, individuals who have suffered intensely traumatic events cannot be reset properly and will be reincarnated with mental instabilities. To prevent this type of suffering, the Ellians practice a philosophy of non-aggression, pacifism and restraint in all aspects of civilian life and even in the military, oftentimes placing them at a great disadvantage when fighting wars.

Gel'Durk

This species can only be played in the Gel'Durk Planetary Compact.

The Gel'Durk are a species of intelligent humanoids hailing from the planet of Nos'Goth in the Rastho Prime System.

Biology

Gel'Durks are largely analogous to humans, with tough, grey skin and natural dark grey patterns and spots that are unique for each individual. They have huge eyes set on either side of their head, providing them with respectable peripheral vision at the cost of some parallax vision. This somewhat hinders their throwing ability and firearms accuracy, though not by so much that they are unable to use ranged weapons effectively. They are tall, barrel-chested and built like a tank, as their primary hunting method was to attack big prey in large groups.

Behaviour

Gel'Durks are a culturally non-homogenous race. Hundreds of tongues exist on their planets, most of which evolve independently of each other and are not mutually intelligible. Though many auxlangs exist, none of them have gained widespread usage. The most commonly used and widespread Gel'Durk languages include Has'Both, Jut'Loth and Noth Las'Dore. The Gel'Durk use Ellian Standard, an Ellian computer programming conlang that serves as the basis for universal translators, to communicate with other species and sometimes with each other.

The Gel'Durks have marked difference in duties, rights and privileges between males and females in both the family unit and in wider society. Women in Gel'Durk society are often considered superior as the Gel'Durk species births 4 males to every single female. For this reason, women are often considered precious possessions to a family and the ritual of marriage sacred beyond any other. Men are often expected to risk their lives in order to prove their worthiness of even considering marriage. In Gel'Durk society, many dangerous occupations are exclusively men's jobs and are viewed as rites of passage that men must endure order to qualify for marriage.

The Gel'Durk standard family unit is remarkably large and consists of between 64 and 82 individuals across three generations. Men are married into the family of their wife and considered part of their wife's families. Divorce is practically impossible in many Gel'Durk cultures. Gel'Durk couples typically have between 6-10 children over the course of their lives, 80% of which tend to be males, many of whom may not find spouses. Sons are expected to dedicate the rest of their lives to caring for their mothers and sisters if they are unable to find a wife by a certain age.

Despite the paramount importance of women in Gel'Durk society, elected officials tend to be 80% male, reflecting the population distribution. This implies that when it comes to statecraft and governance, the Gel'Drk cares more about the ability of an individual than their gender. The reverse is true in monarchies, however, as female rulers tend to garner more support from her subjects, increasing stability and encouraging matriarchies to form in autocratic Gel'Durk states.

Different Gel'Durk cultures have different levels of spirituality. Most Gel'Durks in the modern world are atheist, though a prominent minority (40%) of Gel'Durks still maintain their traditional beliefs.

Nation Name: Lyranite Condederacy

Flag: See my current one.

Capital: Fidelity Unyielding, Station 16, Dyson 3

Denonym: Lyranite

Species: Mostly Synthetic

Population: 50 billion biological Lyranites, as many as 1.5 trillion synthetic sophonts.

Location: Somewhat coreward (towards the core of the galaxy) of the present map

Territory: no planets (they've all been disassembled for parts), 7 systems - each with a Dyson swarm. Also one black hole, used for weird industrial shenanigans.

Ground Force Strength: 1 billion soponts, plus huge amounts of swarmtech, nano and otherwise.

Space Force Strength: 500 "battle moons" plus assorted escorts

Faction: Anti-Morimpan Empire

Backstory: Seventy thousand years ago, the Morimpan empire fell. The slaves on the planet of Lyranius breathed a collective sigh of relief. Three thousand years later, the Lyranites had embarked on a golden age of science and technology. A thousand years after that, the biological heirs of Lyranius were superceded by their artificial offspring. Instead of expanding outward, to control more systems, the Lyranites expanded "inwards" - utilizing the resources of their own system more efficiently. The ultimate expression of this was the Dyson swarm.

Over time, however, it became clear that further expansion would be necessary to accommodate population growth. A total of seven systems, including one supergiant star, were colonized before the AIcracy decided that, since exponential growth was ultimately unsustainable, there was no reason to indulge in it now. Over the next thousand generations, a culture of asceticism was encouraged amongst the general population.

Today, the Lyranite Confederacy is a more or less isolationist power - as it has been for thousands of years. That being said, the Lyranite AIcracy has always believed in peace through strength, and are the heirs of seventy thousand years of uninterrupted technological progress. Should the AIcracy learn that the Morimpans are bent once again on galactic hegemony, they may be willing to part with a battlemoon or two.

Hello, hello! Welcome, welcome! Thank you for taking the time to apply to my RP. I've taken a look over your application and I enjoyed reading it. After taking a look at your factbooks, I understand that you're a fine gentleman (presumably) with a love of physics and mathematics? That's always good to hear. I also took the liberty of reading your posts in the 'Game of States' thread. I like your style. The posts are a little on the short side, but that's not a problem. Overall, I'm very happy with your application, but there are some changes that I would like you to make if you don't mind hearing me out. I'll start from the bottom of your application and work my way up.

I enjoyed your backstory very much, though the fact that the Lyranites were an original slave race implies that they've existed for a very long time - much longer than any of the other races in this RP except for, of course, the Morimpans. This isn't a problem that can't be worked around, though it does need addressing. I appreciate that you tried to make them a stay-at-home civilisation in order to limit the interference they would have on the region and its lore. Thank you for that.

As a slave race of the Morimpan Empire, they would be been reduced back to the stone age with hundreds of generations of never learning mathematics, science and engineering - obviously not great for a technological civilisation's growth. But they do also have the relics of the Morimpan Empire to work with and reverse engineer, though of course, they still need to learn how to engineer first. This should slow down your technological development, though it'll still be faster than natural development. I think it'd probably take them 5000-10000 years to develop space travel, depending on what the species is like.

The second paragraph of this backstory is also somewhat problematic. It implies that they've more or less finished their first Dyson swarm and then went on to start building more when they realised that it wasn't enough. Dyson swarms are pretty big things, able to house populations that can only be meaningfully expressed in scientific notation as I've no doubt you're aware. AI only makes it worse, since they run more efficiently than organics, so you can actually run even more of them. That sort of scale isn't necessarily one that's compatible with this RP, even if the ADO book series is actually at the K2 scale. I had to scale this RP down, because NS doesn't like big numbers for whatever weird reason.

The good news is that Dyson swarms vary quite a huge lot depending on the size of the star they're feeding off of. Stars with 0.1 solar luminosities can probably support 1018 people. while those with 0.00001 solar luminosities can support no more than the standard K1 civilisation - assuming the Dyson swarm is at a distance of 1 AU. Obviously, living around a star with 0.00001 solar luminosities is probably not conducive to a sustainable life, but we can do stars with around 0.0001 solar luminosities which gives 1012 population. If all of your stars were like this, then that would work.

Alternatively, you can try and devote most of your electrical power to running a supercomputer AI. Not quite Matrioshka brain scale, but it's roughly the same idea. This should nerf down your population and ship-building industry by several orders of magnitude and still make sense given the age of your civilisation. And honestly, it's something that's not seen before in this RP series, so that should be very cool to play around with.

Battle moons is a bit vague. Moons, like stars, can vary in scale quite a lot, from literal planets orbiting a gas giant to what's basically a large asteroid that just happens to be spherical enough to be considered a "planetoid." How large are your battle moons? What role do they play in your strategic doctrine and tactical doctrines? What should I expect from them in battle and what should I expect of them logistically?

Black hole civilisations are cool. 10/10. Would approve again.

The Holy Mercurian Empire wrote:Location: Somewhat coreward (towards the core of the galaxy) of the present map

Corewards on this map is to the left side of the screen. That's where the UAR is. You can't go behind them because there's more Ellians there and you can't go behind those Ellians because then you'll be too far away for this RP. FTL in this RP is relatively slow, to encourage strategic play. It would probably be a better idea for you to place your civilisation either above or below the UAR on the map.

OOC Nation Name: Olimpiada
IC Nation Name: The Foederati Olimpiada
IC Reason for joining: Brokering a peace between the peoples of Andriopol and Kostonopoul to stabilize the region and establish friendly human dominated powers in the aftermath of the conflict.
OOC expectations of this thread: I was in the last one. We're good. I'm mostly just using this as a tag for a future application since my schedule seems to be freeing up.
Hyper-commodified cocaine capitalism. Urbanized solar systems. Omnixenophobia. War economy without end. Radical body augmentation for fun and profit.

I make exactly two exceptions from a fairly strict adherence to realism, and hate them both.

Updated the ground force strengths and space force strengths of each of the premade nations. Special thanks to Olimpiada for noting the discrepancies.
