"Operation Flashpoint is go!" came a voice over the loudspeaker. That was immediately met by cheers from the soldiers, they could fight the Joyean menace. all that remained was a small wait. Twenty minutes later, the lights turned green and the cargo door opened. Across the planes, 5000 soldiers jumped out over Tobruk. Their drop was undetected thanks to the lack of AA equipment, the cover of night, and a diversion involving a few trucks being blown up. Thus it came as shock to the Joyeans when they found themselves in front of the 1000 soldiers who landed in the Port

OOC: Drop Zones are 250-oil storage, 250 Power-plant, 250-Pumping station, 1250-City hall, 1000-Port, 2000 Near the Joyean encampment.

The sirens sounded and troops both Joyean and Libyan rushed to what little AA defenses were left. Crews rushed to their Hellcat 3000 fighters and B-52 bombers and almost every aircraft was in the sky after about 20 minutes. Some of the Lacienian forces were confused because many of the Joyeans were in full NBC protective equipment because some of the bombs being dropped from the B-52s contained Soman gas. After a short time the effects began to kill off some of the enemy troops. The bombers were already loaded with Soman filled bombs because they were going to bomb Tripoli which did give the Joyeans an advantage despite the fact that the Joyean troops are taking heavy casualties. A Joyean Arsenal Ship began firing missiles into the city and was taking out both Lacienian and Joyean troops alike. The Joyean Military has decided to drop 900 Republican Guard Forces into the city to help the Joyean troops they are due to arrive at about 9 PM tonight. The Joyean forces never expected an attack on this scale and are having difficulty retaking the city.

Joyean forces are doing surprisingly well with defending the city. We have begun air strikes which have been extremely effective against enemy troops. Republican Guard Forces have been assisting in sabotaging enemy equipment and in supporting our infantry with sniper fire and joining them in the fight. Libyan forces originally were taking heavy losses but have been doing better. Our Soman gas attacks have been extremely effective and we believe we are getting close to retaking the city. Our troops are being issued canisters of Adamsite a vomiting agent commonly used during crowd control in an attempt to incapacitate Lacienian soldiers.

[Langenia]

The Langenians have at last begun their intervention in Syria. The Langenian National Navy's Northern Fleet, with a supercarrier, an amphibious assault ship, and other amphibious warfare ships begins assisting in the landing of troops into LNA-controlled territory and into GNA-controlled Tripoli. Airlifts of more soldiers take place into LNA-controlled air bases. We have also carried out an airmobile and airborne assault on Tripoli. Among the Langenian soldiers and pilots are mercenaries we have hired from Muckwater PMC. Langenian warplanes are currently operating from both LNA airbases, the aircraft carrier, and bases in the Mediterranean nation of Lengen. Streetfighting is currently taking place in Tripoli between Langenian and LNA forces on one side and GNA forces on the other side. We have set up a blockade of the Libyan coast and have requested that the Joyean fleet assist us in maintaining it. We have already been bolstered by the Lengenian Navy, who have provided two light carriers, an amphibious assault ship, and other amphibious warfare ships.

We have begun using Adamsite to flush out Lacienian soldiers but now they are believed to now have been issued gas masks thus making our Adamsite useless. It has proven difficult to evacuate citizens due to pockets of Lacienian resistance spread throughout Joyean held areas.

The Joyean troops that have been sent out of Tobruk have been building encampment. The largest of which has an airfield and holds about 3000 Army personnel 1000 Air Corp and around 900 Cyber Guard troops. We have also stocked up on CBRN equipment every base has 3 full sets of NBC equipment per person. Our troops in Tobruk have been continuing to push the Lacienians out and have been making good progress.
