III Legislative elections

[Nova Kartago]

Nova Kartago will enter the third legislative elections after independence, in which the Assembly of the Representatives of the People will be elected during its parliamentary term, on Octuber 6, 2020 for the election of 145 candidates and president of the state. These elections are supervised by the Independent High Authority for Elections, and these legislative elections are excluded the Communist Union Party and The National Front by The General Council of the Judiciary decision And that is after the political crisis they caused by their involvement in the manipulation of the results of previous elections.

Many criticized the Socialist Party's victory after the CUP and NF were canceled, but despite that the party made an important and positive change in its first term.

Indeed, it was decided to officially change the name, the state flag and the system of government from a free land to a parliamentary republic on March 18 2020, approved by Parliament after the people's vote, and this came as a natural and historical result of the distinction between the Phoenician people in the mother land and the Carthaginian people (Nova Kartago), it is possible That it became a point of discussion worthy of note in this election campaign, especially since many reforms, including confirmation of the independent Phoenician identity Carthaginian, took place in the rule of the second term, and this gave a new political weight on the national arena represented in the Socialist Party.

After the apparent political crisis left by the previous legislative elections in terms of tampering with the results of the votes, which resulted in a number of judicial rulings that prevented two political parties from running in the current elections, the Secretary of State for Security at the Ministry of Interior decided to adopt a new method of polling through private correspondence in order to avoid any new manipulation.
We realize that it is a method that takes a lot of time and effort, but it is secure to take the path of democracy for the sake of fair elections.

Concerning the matter of the ongoing national parliamentary elections in the Republic of Nova Kartago, formerly known as the Free Land of Phoenisland, and the invitation for the according opinion poll, this message will be published in the name of President Silas Flemming, the Meritocratic Council and the Chamber of States, as well as the people of the Federation of Lillorainen.
While it is probably well-known at this point, that the Federation normally stays out of the inner affairs of foreign nations unless the Federation or any of her friends and allies is directly concerned by these, the Meritocratic Unity Party of the Federation of Lillorainen has agreed on deciding, that following an invitation to express a statement from a country which, while not entirely free from problems during elections, is not in any particularly perilous state forming a potential threat we are aware of.
Hence, we hereby announce our endorsement for the Liberal Democrats Alliance (LDA) under the leadership of Mrs. Nona Gratiana. While, probably as a result of cultural and historical differences, the ideological core tenets of the Meritocratic Unity Party do not seem to be represented in the current Catharginian political spectrum, the most common practices indeed are, and we consider the LDA, with their stance on civil liberties such as freedom of information, right to privacy, drug policies, LGBT rights, and right to a trial, as well as on international cooperation, environmental protections and reforms towards an electoral system representing the populace more accurately, a solid option, and while we are aware of the disagreements on details of economic policy between different factions, especially between those in favor of a social market economy and those in favor of a classical liberal economy, we are confident, that compromises resulting in a system taking the advantages of either option can be agreed on within the LDA in the future.
