Is average lifespan glitched?

For some reason, mine's dipped down to 30 whereas in my cruel dictatorship https://www.nationstates.net/nation=cruelopolis has jumped to 84 despite everything being illegal.

Stuff being illegal has no bearing on people living longer. For example, if smoking, cliff-jumping and driving are illegal, then people are much less likely to die from lung cancer, accidents or car crashes.

In this instance, some factors that may influence lifespan are:

• Crime
• Income of Poor
• Health
• Overall Economic Strength
• Government spending on health and welfare
• Niceness
• Corruption
• and the Environment

This list is not exhaustive, it's based off my personal observations and some factors mentioned under beta 006.

So:
Wealthatonia has much higher crime, much lower poor incomes and lower spending on health and welfare.
Cruelopolis has higher corruption.
And they both have similar health, niceness and environmental beauty ratings.

So it's perfectly reasonable that Wealthatonia would have a higher death rate (and thus, lower lifespan), when they have more crime, less healthcare and less money for poor people to go and see a doctor.

I figured Cruelopolis would have a short lifespan because it's a facist government, people are going to go missing and dead pretty often

Avg lifespan went down from 80+ to 30 abruptly and then just sat there. Surely there must be a glitch, no one factor can just tank it so.

If you have questions on specific issue results, post in the Unusual Effects Megathread in the Got Issues? subforum. However, looking at your chart, this drop happened back in November of 2019. We aren't going to be able to look up an issue choice that far back.
