This is a common bug.

Just change your bid and the auction will start

To change my bid will involve me getting ripped off.

It's pretty disgusting that you let someone win an auction after bidding was supposed to be finished due to your coding errors and then you mock the person who brought it up and lost the cards they would have bought for not wanting to get ripped off.

Did you expect the mods to keep anyone from outbidding you?

You are not being ripped off, If someone is willing to offer more than you for a card then you need to put up a higher bid.

Well if you wanted the card I would recommend that you bid more as the market has shown that the card is worth more. If you were not interested in paying the nominal additional price you will just have to wait like everyone else for the next person to sell the card.

As for NS bug reporting it is often common practice around here to say that the team (of volunteers) is aware of it, that doesn't mean they have the time to get it fixed but shows that they are not just ignoring you. In most of this cases the community develops workarounds, such as place a new bid or upping a bid in this case and we share those.

Absolutely, yes. The time for bidding on it had ended; my timing was part of the strategy, not just the bid amount.

I am. I had reached the end of bidding time as the winner, in fact I won 2 bids. Now I won 0.

It's a game, you're not being 'ripped off' because you didn't lose anything. There's no monetary value involved in the cards game.

Seriously, get some damn perspective.

Some people pay money for site supporter almost entirely for the deck expansion benefit but that aside what's wrong about caring about a game? This entire website revolves around people caring about something that doesn't monetarily benefit them (except for the actual owner of the website).

Then you are wrong, mods are not (as far as I know) going to stop players from taking advantage of a situation like this, as you have already seen.

No, you clearly did not reach the end of the auction, which was the point of this post in Technical in the first place.

Wrong on the second count (100% wrong, it was 7 hours later than the auction began and they are meant to last 1 hour), as for the first that is sad and unjust.

Well, if you already knew the auction had stalled and would take longer, why didn't you just simply adjust?

Clearly the auction never finished otherwise you wouldn't have posted this bug in Technical, the first thing is, in my opinion, not sad nor unjust, you can take advantage of it too, just because you are not willing to bid more doesn't mean everyone should be kept from doing so.

I think this is a semantic thing where the definition of 'ended' is being abused in order to win a debate or something.

The auction was completely supposed to have ended just over 6 hours before I made this thread.

My definition of finished is when the transaction is completed.

Not when it was supposed to be finished, because the time it takes can vary depending on what happens during the course of it, or if a bug occurs, like it happened to you.

Hope that clarifies what I meant.

Yep, like said above. It's not to win a debate, I'd just like to point out that the auction timer extending didn't, in my eyes, change anything in whether you were able to purchase the card or not.

Well, people do watch the market, after all. And frozen auctions don't appear on the market page until they get started, as far as I'm aware. So in terms of "fairness", the transaction should spend an hour on the open market.

It was sniped. Such is the nature of the game. It literally took you longer to make a fuss in this thread than it would to gain .01 in value. You were still very capable of making the purchase.

Next time, file a getting help request. That doesn't draw public attention to your specific case.

For this time: the perspective is that it's a free game, run by volunteers.
If you place a 0.01 bid, you'll get it eventually for that price.

I did, they told me to post in the forums as mods can't help.
