Census Ratings: WA Endorsements (bug?)

Postby Sierra Lyricalia » Mon Jul 13, 2020 7:42 am

Is there a delay in census measurements? This nation hasn't been a WA member in ~3 days, but I have a new notice that it's in the top 10% for endorsements.

9 hours ago: Sierra Lyricalia was ranked in the Top 10% of the world for Most World Assembly Endorsements.
2 days 11 hours ago: Sierra Lyricalia resigned from the World Assembly.

My understanding is that ties in census ratings are given to whoever has the highest population in the tie. I’d imagine that there’s a huge tie for 0 endorsements, and given your rather high population, it awarded you the badge - even over actual member-nations who have 0 endorsements.

You are in the top 10%. As can be seen here, the last nation with 1 endorsement is ranked 19492, while there are currently 206355 nations. So anyone ranked between 19493 and 20635 (which includes a mix of non-WA members and WA members with zero endorsements, in I don't know what order) will be in the top 10% without having any endorsements.

FWIW, I think it's weird too.

Edit: ninja'd.

Not population but an internal dBid number.

It's the same number as your card number.

I haven't been in the WA in over a decade, but I'm still in the top 10%.

DBID #2, so I'm pretty much a lock as long as WA members are less than 10% of nations.
