2nd Copa Democrata: Everything Thread

Welcome to the Second edition of COPA DEMOCRATA, The official football tournament of Union of Democrats (UoD). Teams allover UoD is participating in the tournament to win the CD trophy from the former champions Masvala.

All the best to all participants!!!

Rosters
You want to start out with a roster. But, how to write a roster? Here you go. A roster will show everyone else who plays on you’re team, what position they play, and a little extra in for if you want.
You can do a Basic roster, where you show where each player plays and who the players are.
You can do a Extended roster, where you describe a bit about the team and each player.
Or, you can go into Great Detail and describe each player very well. The rosters are the primary post of the sports RP.

Style Mods
Next, all teams need a Style Modifier. A style modifier describes how your team plays, these numbers are between -5-+5. A -5.00 team is ultra-defensive, a 0.00 team is balanced, and a +5.00 team is hyper-aggressive.

Roleplay Bonus
Each team will receive an Roleplay Bonus. You earn this bonus when you roleplay. A RP bonus is a bonus added on to the teams rank, the hosts grade the Roleplays on a scale and apply them to the rank. Roleplays are graded based on Creativity and effort put in, NOT HOW MANY WORDS THE ROLEPLAY HAS. These bonuses helps you to reach the finals of the tournament.

How is the tournament done?

It is Scorinated in a league format. It is done using NSFS Scorinator. Every team will play 11 matches and advance to the next round as there are 12 teams playing.

His choice for the team in such a condition was heavily criticised by the nation but Holden assured them that he was ready for the tournament and he will do his best to win the cup "for Allie".
4.CB - Ted Mosby

The Clovenan Dawn

The Satyrs beat La Boca 1-0!

The Clovenan Football Team beat La Boca 1-0 in their first match at the housefull Leith yesterday. Young striker Nickie Collins scored the lone goal of the match in the 76th minute.

Both teams started of with equal enthusiasm and tried scoring goals from the first minute itself. Reggie Mason impressed the crowd with a couple of excellent saves in the first half. The La Boca defences were extremely strong and the Satyrs kept checking for cracks but we're disappointed. In the second half, Loki Damon shot a beautiful cross across the field to Nickie Collins. Collins cleverly tapped the ball lightly to Jasper Elsevier, who passed right back to Collins, effectively confusing the Boquences. From there Collins dribbled the ball to the goalpost and scored home.

Clovena now sits third on the points table with 3 points, below Hopal and Ohino.

We wish the Satyrs, best of luck for their future games.

The Clovenan Dawn

Clovena demolishes Fdryden on the field

Even as Fdryden President Higgins was defeating High Druid Kizie Colins in the Presidential Elections of the Union of Democrats, the Clovenan Satyrs destroyed Fdryden in their own home yesterday with a score of 0-4.

Jasper Elsevier, the dynamic football sensation opened his goals tally with a first half brace. His first goal came in the 9th minute itself when he scored home from an assist by Ted Mosby. His second goal came in the 30th minute with a brilliant volley into the goal.
Vice Captain Giuseppe and midfielder Tion Lawner, both scored in the second half in the 64th and 76th minute respectively. Clovena dominated throughout the duration of the match with a 61 percent ball possession.
An enthusiastic Jasper spoke to us after the match. "We totally wiped them. They just couldn't stand against us. This victory is for Nickie's sister, the High Druid. She is the best and we had to take revenge for her defeat."

Clovena sits second on the table with 6 points, behind neighbours Ohino with the same number of points but a higher goal difference.

Blues steps for Latiouthel

With two marvelous goals by midfielder Mario Alarcón (25) and under an unusual warm July afternoon at the Bombonera Stadium, the "Azul" (Blue) team beat Latiouthel 2-1.
After being one goal down for the entire first half, the Boquense team felt relieved after achieving the transitional tie at 66' in the second half.
When the game ended and with the visiting team's ruined opportunities to take the lead, the La Boca team put the final result in the 90 ' +2 minute of extra time, after a penalty kick kicked by the great Mario Alarcón.

Svitka Makes Early Gains in Standings

In the past few days as the Copa Democrata has been in play, despite the ongoing COVID-19 epidemic, the Svitkan national football team has displayed an early upper standing in the rankings, now sitting at #4. The team so far has shown a strong sense of unity and determination to win and play the best they can possibly do, despite having early scares about covid affecting practice scheduling.

Winning the first and third match and drawing with Hopal, the team is looking forward to their next match. Currently Aglo Veritovitch, the star forward for Svitka, scored 2 goals in the previous matches with an assist in the previous match with Latiouthel. An Ohinoan native to Quie, Thomas Brandtford, has also proved to be a solid wall in front of the goal, preventing numerous attempts at goals and keeping the enemy goal count to only 2. His actions of the 2nd match, stopping a nail biting pk attempt prevented Svitka's loss and pulled off the draw.

At home, the tournament has gripped the attention of the commonwealth which eagerly await the next match later today. Flags are displayed everywhere in the commonwealth while kids play soccer in the streets anticipating another svitkan win.

More to come later on as the tournament progresses.

THE BLUE EARTHQUAKE

Boquense team does not stop winning. After defeating Fdryden and Levantx, the "Azules del Riachuelo" defeated Forodana 6-0 at home.
At the Floresta Stadium, heatwave was felt at the time of the match with the windchill reaching 39.8°C.
The first goal came early, thanks to a spectacular play by Israel Ruiz (21) and an assist from the now famous Mario Alarcón, 3 'into the first half. Throughout the rest of the match, the opposing team was very disoriented, but the home team tried to be forgiving.
Started the second half, at 47' came a penalty kick kicked by Ricardo Martí (24). Just two minutes later, Israel Ruiz scored the third goal from midfield. At 53' Tomás Molina saw the red card after a brutal foul against an opponent. At 55' , substitute Jael Ali (22) scored from twelve steps. At 81' Mario Alarcón scored another goal, and when the game was ending, Alarcón scored again at 90' + 7.

The Clovenan Dawn

Clovena on a winning streak

The Satyrs are on a rampage as they defeat Forodana (o-9), Ferrisa (7-0) and Hopal (4-2). Jasper Elsevier and Loki Damon scored on all three occasions and have become some of the highest scorers in the tournament. Tion Lanner, Nickie Colins and Giuseppe scored braces whereas Barney Stinson and Ted Mosby scored singles. Clovena's winning streak seems to be unstoppable and fans are eagerly waiting for the match with Ohino, the only other team who seem to match Clovena's might.

"All the teams seem to break down in front of us. We've got some really good players and we're confident that we'll win the cup. But let's not become overconfident here. Ohino, La Boca and Svitka are playing well too and we should watch out for them" said Captain Reggie Mason after the match with Hopal.

Clovena sit on the top of the table now with 18 points and 6 wins.

Ohino is on a winning streak

Postby Ohino » Fri Jul 17, 2020 4:06 am

Ohino Dominating the League with its straight 6 winning streak completely making its way to the championship. After winning against Forodana (4-0), Ferrisa (0-6), Hopal (5-0), Svitka (0-5), and Erembourc (3-1), the Chargers have been moving up the ranks. Some of the most entertaining shots came from the Goals when in the Hopal Game, Randy Harp shot a goal to goal shot for the first time in the team history.

But the team has been training everyday for the much anticipated game with Clovena. There team has been ranked the same in points and the two teams have been neck and neck in the rankings. Tickets are bound to be sold out because of the Fan Participation at these games. Ohino City hopes that the game is held locally as it will help local business thrive and help the local economy

Ohino Vs. Clovena will be the match of the year as the two countries neighbor each other. This could be a new rivalry coming up in the league. We will see in the future but for now, only time will tell

The Clovenan Dawn

Clovena decimates Svitka but grows worried by Ohino's charge

Clovena continue their unbeaten record as they thrashed Svitka (5-0) yesterday. Loki Damon and Nickie Colins scored two goals each whereas Jasper Elsevier scored the last goal.
Although this victory pushed Svitka down the table, Ohino's (0-6) victory against Latiouthel yesterday brought the teams almost at par in the tables. The undisclosed schedule of the tournament is also making the players anxious and the fans excited about the match with Ohino which is already being called "The Great Game" and "The Derby" among other names.
Nonetheless, the team's performance was praised by the entire nation including High Druid Kizie Colins and the Queen Nymeria and is wishing them luck for the future games.

Neither the heat nor the Covid-19 seem to stop the Republic of La Boca, which achieved its sixth consecutive victory, this time against Hopal.
The Blues today played at the Paraja Stadium in Quilmes, with the assistance of only 100 people (with the proper distance), mostly family and friends of the players.
With the thermal sensation marking 37.2C at the time of the game, the Blues put themselves in advantage at 11' in the first half, led by Ricardo Martí (23) after a play that left several rivals behind.
At 33' the 'magic' Mario Alarcón scored 2-0, and he would be sent off at 41' after a referee error.
When it seemed that the Blue team was resigned after their captain's expulsion, the debutant Hugo Tamayo (17) made it 3-0 at 45' almost when the first half was about to end.
In the second half, the young Nahuel Suárez (23) entered who scored a penalty goal at 54' of the second half, winning the public's love.
At 82' the young Suárez scored again, this time with a header after a corner.
