So... would he have to put a new star on the flag? 51 is such a weird number. It's only divisible by 3 and 17, whereas 50 is nice and easy. 5, 10, 2, 25.

Yet the current flag has 9 rows ... if you look at the past flags, quite a few were OK looking without being strictly symmetrical.

I have a feeling it could be done better using a computer. I don't object to the circular form, and starting with five straight arms is necessary to avoid clashing with the five-way stars.

Ok, that's a fair point. If I had the will, I could mock up the star arrangement from the PNP one with the 2/5 canton.
