Changes from Season 6

• Wins are made sure to be the first tiebreaker used when deciding league standings.
• All tiebreaker playoffs will be held the day after the split ends to make sure there is no interference with any other sports leagues.
• From now on there will be only three Majors (Newton, Midnight and Calamari County) and four Splits - After the fourth Split will be Finals Qualifying, where the teams that hadn't automatically clinched their spots in the Finals will fight for the final 8 spots.
• As a result, the winner of League A (Or the highest ranking non-Finals qualifying team) during Split 4 will also qualify for the Finals. If one team wins two or more of the Majors, the spot will be given to the next best-placed team that hasn't qualified for the Finals.

Pot Allocation Reminder
For the three Majors, pot allocation is as follows:

• Pot 1 - Top 4 League A teams
• Pot 2 - 5th and 6th in League A, 1st and 2nd in League B
• Pot 3 - 7th and 8th in League A, 3rd and 4th in League B
• Pot 4 - 5th and 6th in League B, 1st and 2nd in League C

If there are ties that could seperate pots, like for promotion spots, relegation spots and the league title, a best-of-5 map series (If the tie is between two teams) or a best-of-3 map series group (If the tie is between three or more teams) will be held to break the tie.

Major Format
All qualified teams for a Major are put into 4 groups of 4, with each group containing a team from one of the pots. The groups are double round-robin with best-of-3 map matches, with the same tiebreakers as the Splits. The top 2 teams from each group advance to the knockout stage. If 1st and/or 2nd in a group cannot be broken by the regular tiebreakers, a best-of-3 map series will be held to break the tie if it's between 2 teams. If it's between 3 or 4 teams, a single round-robin group, also best-of-3 maps, will be held to break the tie.

After the group stage, the 4 group winners will be drawn up against the 4 group runners-up. Group-mates may not be drawn against each-other for the Quarter-Finals, but can meet for the Semi-Finals or Final. The knockout stage is single-elimination in a best-of-5 map format. The winner of the Major will also qualify for the StrikeLeague Squidroidia Finals.

Finals Qualifying Information
Split 4 will award the top non-Major winner from this season the fourth and final automatic Finals spot. Since Booyah Gaming, Drew's Electronic Club and Grizzco Games Club won their respective Majors (Newton, Midnight and Calamari County respectively), they will not be able to qualify again for the Finals. If Booyah Gaming and Grizzco Games Club finish in the top 2 in League A, for example, the 3rd place team will qualify for the Finals. The remaining teams will enter Finals Qualifying to earn a shot for the season title.

Finals Qualifying Information
The 28 teams that didn't qualify for the Finals via Major or Split 4 results were placed into 4 pots of 7 based on their Split 4 rankings and then put into 7 groups of 4. The groups are double round-robin with best-of-3 map matches, with the same tiebreakers as the Splits and Majors. The top team from each group qualifies for Finals, while the 2nd place teams will be ranked based on wins, map difference and maps for.

In the event that two teams are tied for first and/or second, a best-of-3 map series will be held to break the tie. If the tie is between three or four teams, a single round-robin group, also best-of-3 maps, will be held to break the tie. These tiebreakers will not be used when calculating the second place standings.

The top 2 teams in the second-place rankings will then play a best-of-5 map match to decide the last Finals spot. In the event that the top two spots are tied between three or more teams, a round-robin best-of-3 map group will be held, with the top 2 teams advancing to the best-of-5 match. If first place is not tied but second place is, the same tiebreakers as in the group stage will occur to determine the second team - If two teams, a single best-of-3 map match, if three teams or more, a round robin, best-of-3 map group.

Finals Format
The 4 teams who had already qualified for the Finals automatically advance to the Quarter-Finals, but their seeding is determined by a Seeding Group. The teams will play each other twice, with group position determining their position for not only the bracket, but the team draft. The remaining 8 teams are placed in 2 groups of 4 (2 from each pot) and, like the Seeding Group, play each other twice, with the top 2 advancing to the Quarter-Finals. If 1st and/or 2nd in Groups A and B or any position in the Seeding Group cannot be broken by the regular tiebreakers, a best-of-3 map series will be held to break the tie if it's between 2 teams. If it's between 3 or 4 teams, a single round-robin group will be held to break the tie.

After the group stage, the team draft occurs. The 1st place team in the Seeding Group will decide which of the 2 regular group runners-up will face, with the 2nd place team in the Seeding Group getting the remaining team. The same occurs for 3rd and 4th place, although 3rd place has to select between the group winners.

Major Format

Finals Qualifying Information
The 28 teams that didn't qualify for the Finals via Major or Split 4 results were placed into 4 pots of 7 based on their Split 4 rankings and then put into 7 groups of 4. The groups are double round-robin with best-of-3 map matches, with the same tiebreakers as the Splits and Majors. The top team from each group qualifies for Finals, while the 2nd place teams will be ranked based on wins, map difference and maps for.

In the event that two teams are tied for first and/or second, a best-of-3 map series will be held to break the tie. If the tie is between three or four teams, a single round-robin group, also best-of-3 maps, will be held to break the tie. These tiebreakers will not be used when calculating the second place standings.

The top 2 teams in the second-place rankings will then play a best-of-5 map match to decide the last Finals spot. In the event that the top two spots are tied between three or more teams, a round-robin best-of-3 map group will be held, with the top 2 teams advancing to the best-of-5 match. If first place is not tied but second place is, the same tiebreakers as in the group stage will occur to determine the second team - If two teams, a single best-of-3 map match, if three teams or more, a round robin, best-of-3 map group.

Finals Format
The 4 teams who had already qualified for the Finals automatically advance to the Quarter-Finals, but their seeding is determined by a Seeding Group. The teams will play each other twice, with group position determining their position for not only the bracket, but the team draft. The remaining 8 teams are placed in 2 groups of 4 (2 from each pot) and, like the Seeding Group, play each other twice, with the top 2 advancing to the Quarter-Finals. If 1st and/or 2nd in Groups A and B or any position in the Seeding Group cannot be broken by the regular tiebreakers, a best-of-3 map series will be held to break the tie if it's between 2 teams. If it's between 3 or 4 teams, a single round-robin group will be held to break the tie.

After the group stage, the team draft occurs. The 1st place team in the Seeding Group will decide which of the 2 regular group runners-up will face, with the 2nd place team in the Seeding Group getting the remaining team. The same occurs for 3rd and 4th place, although 3rd place has to select between the group winners.

Changes from Season 8

• Starting from this season, all splits will consist of a single league table, with each team playing 14 games against randomly assigned opponents. All teams will be ranked based on their record during the split, with the team at top of the table earning the Split Champions title, which is the same as the previous League A champion title during the league era.
• Majors will now include 20 teams - The 8 Quarter-Finalists from the previous Major as well as the top 12 teams in the split who didn't already qualify. The bottom 8 qualified teams will play a best-of-5 maps qualifying series to get into the main stage.
• The main round of the Major has also been changed, this time into a Casaran-style format. In the opening round, the teams will be placed based on the ranking for the split just gone, and from there they will be placed based on their win record during the Major, with matchups randomized but avoiding rematches from earlier on. Winning 3 matches will earn a team qualification to the Knockout Stage. 2-0, 2-1, 2-2, 0-2 and 1-2 matchups will be best-of-5 maps, all other matchups will be best-of-3 maps.
• The Major Knockout Stage draw will once again be randomized, but will make sure to avoid matchups that already happened in the Swiss Stage if needed.

If there are ties that separate major spots, major seeding or the league title, a best-of-5 map series (If the tie is between two teams) or a best-of-3 map series group (If the tie is between three or more teams) will be held to break the tie.

Major Format
Majors are divided into 3 stages - The First Round, the Casaran Stage and the Knockout Stage. All 8 teams who qualified for the previous Major's Knockout Stage automatically qualified for the Casaran Stage, alongside the top 4 teams in the split who haven't already qualified. The next 8 best teams participate in the First Round, which is contested in a best-of-5 map format. The winners of the First Round round off the Casaran Stage.

In the opening round of the Casaran Stage, the qualified teams will be placed based on the ranking for the split just gone, and from there they will be placed based on their win record during the Major, with matchups randomized whilst making sure to avoid rematches from earlier on. Winning 3 matches will earn a team qualification to the Knockout Stage. 2-0, 2-1, 2-2, 0-2 and 1-2 matchups will be best-of-5 maps, all other matchups will be best-of-3 maps.

After the Casaran stage, all 8 qualified teams will be randomly drawn against each other. Group-mates may not be drawn against each-other for the Quarter-Finals, but can meet for the Semi-Finals or Final. The Knockout Stage is single-elimination in a best-of-5 map format. The winner of the Major will also qualify for the StrikeLeague Squidroidia Finals.
