The Star-Spangled Banner (US national anthem) uses the same music as a popular song from the 1770s. And before we adopted that song as my country's national anthem in the 1930s, My Country , 'Tis of Thee (considered one of the de facto national anthems) literally used the same melody as God Save the King/Queen.
Hell if you want a more directly NS example, this country's national anthem is officially L'Internationale (admittedly a slightly modified version of it in-character-wise) but I haven't had anyone tell me that I can't do that in any thread talking about national anthems.
