I'm not a fascist

After I made a decision in my Issues tab, my nation Anvali was demoted. The description underneath my nation's name now says "Fascists".

I did not create Anvali to be a fascist nation. That would imply that I am right-wing, which is not true, and not okay. I make decisions based on my real-life Democratic beliefs, and I started picking answers that don't directly reflect my views after seeing ridiculous and unrealistic end-results every time I touched the decision I thought would be best.

What is going on?

Are you using the Liberal theme?

Change your Theme under the Settings option to something other than Liberal. I recommend Dark!

You're probably using the "Liberal" theme for NS. If you switch to any other theme (like Dark or Antiquity) in your settings, you'll see it rendered as "Inoffensive Centrist Democracy". The only themes where nation categories change are Liberal and Conservative.

My short-term goal is to get above 250-million citizens so I can establish my nation's Capital city, Venacia. I don't know why the site is set up where you can't tell people the names of your capital of leaders, so passing legislation is the only thing I can do.

The big reason why the site is set up like it is is just because, well, the whole ability to have your capital, leader, religion named wasn't even added for several years after the site.

Like I joined on my main account back in 2008 and, IIRC, those unlockables were added in 2009.

Plus, it works as a way to keep people playing this game, I suppose if you've got something to look forward to unlock as you slowly gain population. (And then by the time you've finally unlocked the last custom field, you're basically stuck here)
