I am Giovanniland, and today I campaign for a single goal - remove the marsupials from NS.

While you may not know, marsupials are starting to plan coups on regions like my home region, the West Pacific, and it is my goal to stop them!
You may think that is unimportant, but soon they will capture all of NS, destroy it, and invade all your nations. Our two main goals are:

1. Remove the marsupial menace from all of the WA. They are interferring with our votes, and diverting our attention from the true important things of life!

2. Make this important part of NationStates more newcomer-friendly. The WA lacks author diversity, and it is time to change that! New authors should be encouraged, and not insulted, for their attempts at creating more resolutions for our glorious Assembly.

Think again - you don't want that. and that is why you should vote for me.

As a strong pro-crab supporter, I think its terrible to see this kind of rhetoric in today's politics. This divisive platform establishes itself by putting other people down, and that polarization will only drive our communities farther away from each other and do more to tear apart the fabric of our body politic. The Crab King and his raving minions have every right to their identity; using it as a sectarian, crabbist platform is despicable in the extreme. I urge Gio to reconsider and unite with the crabs, who will happily join him if he allows them to.

Let's gang up on the marsupials. Everyone hates them.

I agree! If Gio can unite the pro- and anti-crab vote it will lend a lot more strength to his campaign. I already voted for him as a crab myself but if he turns his platform against those darned marsupials instead of us crustaceans I'd feel a lot better about supporting him as a candidate.

I am keeping you updated on this thread, with the most recent news from my campaign.

First of all, I'd like to thank my region, The West Pacific, on supporting me. But that's not all! Two other regions - Balder and Lands of Kings and Emperors - have also voiced their support for me, and I am thankful for that!
Five hours remain for the 2nd Round - and I am currently 8th, with 71 votes, or 2% of all people who voted in this election. I encourage you all to vote on me on the next round and push me into the top 5!

Along with removing the marsupial menace from the World Assembly, we'll make it more newcomer-friendly! Far too many nations have seen their dreams of a resolution crushed by unwelcoming long-time authors. It's time to change that, for more author diversity in the WA!

(P.S.: not election-related, but I'd also like to say that today it is Autism Awareness Day, and we in TWP are voicing our support for the people who have this condition, and hope that they can live peacefully within our society.)
