NOTICE: International teams wanted for professional American Football competition

After operating as a competition solely for the sixteen teams based in Hibernus, the Hibernus Gridiron League is now, for the first time, opening its doors to teams based outside of the eight nations that make up Hibernus.

Participating nations should submit two teams into this competition using the template below:

Team Name
The name of the team will be the 'City Name' and the 'Team Nickname' (minus the word "The" if it is included as a part of the team nickname) though you have the option to change this and state what you want your team name to be in the 'Notes/Other' section if you are unhappy with what would be your default name.

Team Quality
The quality of the two teams that you have entered must add up to exactly 1000 and so all team qualities should be whole numbers between 0 and 1000, if you must use decimal places in your 'Team Quality' section, you can use either one, two or three decimal places, the usage of any more decimal places than that is not permitted and if you do so in your entry, your team quality will be rounded to three decimal places. Also, if your two team qualities do not add up to 1000, the team quality of the second team that you've submitted will be set to '1000 - the quality of the first team that you submitted'.

Team Numbers
If you only submit one team into the competition before the deadline, a second team from your nation will automatically be submitted under the name '*Nation Name* Nationals', which will have a style modifier of -5, a team quality of 0 and will play in a 25,000 seater known as the 'National Arena'. An exception to this rule is under the condition that you state (either through a telegram that is sent to me before the deadline is up or in the 'Notes/Other' section of your registration post) that you only wish to submit one team into the competition, in which case your second berth will be transferred to Emerald Hibernus (the most successful sporting nation out of the eight nations from Hibernus).

Style Modifier
The 'Style Modifier' of the team should be a whole number that is a minmum of -5 and a maximum of +5, you are able to leave this section blank if you do not want to fill it in and if you do so your style modifier will be set to 0.

Stadium Capacity
In order to maintain an of realism and believability, the capacity of both of your stadiums has to be between 25,000 and 250,000 in order to accommodate enough fans in order to generate enough revenue in order to be competitive as a franchise whilst also not having a pointlessly oversized stadium for the sake of sending a message about the size of your club. If your stadium capacity is larger than 250,000 it will be set to 250,000 whilst if it is smaller than 25,000 it will be set to 25,000.

Puppet Nations
You are able to transfer one berth for teams from a puppet nation and submit three teams from your main nation and one from your puppet nation as long as you state that you are doing this. Failure to state this will result in the third team being submitted from your main nation being denied entry into the competition and a second team being assigned to the puppet nation under the previously stated method. If you fail to submit any teams from your puppet nation then your third team submitted from your main nation will be denied entry and if you submitted four or more teams from one nation (or three or more if you have not transferred a berth from a puppet nation) then all of the extra teams that you have submitted will be denied entry into the competition. The transferred team will have its team quality set as '1000 - the team quality for the team from your puppet nation'. You are only permitted to submit teams from two nations that are under your control.

Scorination
This competition will be scorinated using the SQIS formula for American Football on Xkoranate using the IFAF overtime formula for the playoffs whilst draws will be allowed for the regular season. Teams in this competition will be divided into groups who will only play teams in their own groups prior to the playoffs though the exact details of this are yet to be known as they are dependent on the amount of teams from nations outside of Hibernus that enter the competition.

Withdrawal from the League
Teams that are entered will automatically be submitted into future seasons of the Hibernus Gridiron League until either the league ceases to exist, their home nation ceases to exist, or a message is posted from their home nation stating either that they are withdrawing their teams is withdrawing from the league or that one of their teams is either relocating or being replaced with a new team, accompanied with a registration post for the new team. The 'Team Quality' for this team must be '1000 - the quality of your other team'.

Any questions MUST either be sent as a telegram to Hibernus and Liberty Cups or under the 'Notes/Other' section of your registration post. This is due to the only posts permitted from other users in this thread will be for the registration of their teams, the resignation of one or both of their teams or another important update to one or both of their teams. This post will be updated if necessary. Any post in this thread that does not follow this rule will be ignored and it is recommended that it is immediately deleted in order to keep this thread looking tidy.

Also, I am aware of the existence of other Gridiron competitions on Nationstates (such as the World Bowl) however, think of this more as a continental competition that is willing to allow a few teams based in other nations into their competiton, rather than a direct challenger to the other competitions that are already in existence.

Home Nations Registration Post

As there are 16 teams from the home nations, I have decided that it would be the most fair if the average throughout these 16 teams in terms of 'Team Quality' was 500, as it is for entries from other nations. However, due to nations such as Emerald Hibernus and Sapphire Hibernus being more powerful than nations such as Bronze Hibernus and Copper Hibernus, each nation will not have an average quality from their two teams set to 500, as it will be higher than that for the more powerful Home Nations and lower than that for the weaker of them.

If you understandably feel that this is somewhat unfair that the teams from Emerald Hibernus are very powerful, please note that:

• You too can make one team as powerful as the teams from Emerald Hibernus, at the expense of the quality of your other team.
• The quality of the teams from Emerald Hibernus comes at the expense of the quality of the teams from other, less powerful, sporting nations.

This means that the average team from Hibernus is equally as powerful as the average team from another nation, and so there is no advantage to teams for being from Hibernus.
