Introduction
WUF is an active, rapidly growing region that maintains a robust, diverse role-playing community in an open-world, modern tech environment. We accommodate a wide plethora of cultures, languages, religions, and political systems, leaving plenty of opportunities for players to develop and tweak their nations to their hearts' content. The WUF is in the process of creating colorful, immersive role-playing maps and a unified body of lore - with both being updated on a weekly basis.

Rules:
While we prefer to grant members of community an abundance of creative freedom, we do at least strive to adhere to the basic tenants role-play. We have our own role-playing mentors, who are distinct from NS's mentors, who can provide direction if you're confused about whether a certain aspect of your nation is consistent with good role-playing decorum. And, of course, you can always consult with NS's mentors and veteran moderators for pointers too. Our basic rules are as follow:

1.) All rules and guidelines of NS are in full effect while posting on the forum. You can find a comprehensive list of the site's rules here.

2.) We strongly discourage god-modding and will instruct members new to role-play without engaging in it. The short and sweet of it is that god-modding is when you take control of another person's nation or characters without consulting them. It's a practice that's frowned upon and usually contrary to fun, fulfilling role-play. Meta-gaming is a similar concept, and is similarly discouraged. It consists of creating circumstances such that your nation or character will inevitably get there way. Remember, we're supposed to be building stories together. It's not about winning or losing.

3.) While we allow an immense about of flexibility and creativity, we do strive to ensure some degree of realism in our role-play. We're a modern-tech region based in an open sandbox that parallels the real world to some extent, albeit with a different map and history. If you're confused about whether some thing is realistic or not, try doing a bit of research or talking to our RP mentors. Things that are blatantly unrealistic will be subject to revision by the community.

4.) Keep it PG-13. We have lots of kids on this site and lots of people who don't want their eyes to bleed because they're reading smut or copious gore. If you'd feel uncomfortable watching a movie that depicted something you've written with your parents, perhaps reconsider posting that particular bit of role-play.

5.) OP's are the heads of their threads. Co-OP's are their arms. We value thread/role-play ownership here, so long as it does not disrupt canon or realism requirements, and insist that, as a point of respect for our peers, that you value it as well.

6.) Be polite and respect when posting OOC. You have more leeway IC, so long as your post is clearly IC. That said, we have to get along if we're going to continue to be a fun and active community. Being nice helps us to do that. So keep that in mind - as well as NS's rules in general.

Getting Started:
After reading the rules, since it includes an expansive list of useful information and advice from veteran world-builders and role-players about how to play the game more generally. It's also worthwhile to visit our regional page, linked as Workers United Front above, to get a feel for our region's culture, ambiance, and community. If that doesn't scare you away, then feel free to fill out an application for your nation.

The French Doctrine is Solely defensive. The CFC knows invading it's neighbored could spark an international conflict so it focus's on a highly mobile and effective defense force to placate the enemy forces while the Air force deals with them. Air and Naval Supremacy is the Dominant focus for the CFC. To control the sea and skies to widdle down invaders, while slowly building up and mobilizing reserves to push through a now exhausted enemy. The Small size is also for political faction reasons, to limit Jacobin influence in the government.

History/Factbook:
The Combined French Comunes is a socialist and syndicalist federal republic composed of the 36,000 communes of France and ruled by a dual structure, with the legislative powers going to the General Labor Council (French: Bourse Générale du Travail) and executive powers in the hands of the Committee of Public Safety (French: Comité de Salut Public).

The Commune of France is of a primarily Syndicalist construction, based around federated union organizations which emphasize worker control on an industry-by-industry basis. The CFC is, in fact, a federation of major cities, such as Paris, Lyon, Marseilles, Bordeaux and Toulouse, each one ruled by a Bourse du Travail (labour council) which is directly elected by the citizens of the regional commune. The task of the Bourse du Travail is to manage not only the general affairs of local government but also local military arrangements in the form of the popular militia.

The Chairman of the Commune is elected directly by the citizens and confirmed in their appointment by the Comité de Salut Public (rejection by the Comité demands a new election be held). The Chairman (currently the anarchist Sébastien Faure) is the Head of State, as well as a leader of the Bourse Générale du Travail - which functions as a form of Parliament, representing the individual Communes that make up the administrative structure of Syndicalist France. The BGT is primarily responsible for forming a bridge between the national executive (CSP) and the local governments.

The CSP takes decisions at the national level, "uniting the efforts of the Communes", directing foreign affairs and organizing the Garde Nationale (the professional element of the CFC army). It too is elected by the general populace (though on the position basis that they must secure the support of a regional Bourse, via caucus, to make the short-list). The current Premier of the Comité de Salut Public is the Travailleur Marceau Pivert.

Map Claim:

Geography:
The French Commune is known for it's beautiful Forests lakes and industry and refinery vallies in the mainland with tall awe inspiring mountain peaks on the border. This is one of the reasons for the small army as well. they are easily defend-able, so the budget can be spent else where like working conditions.

Climate:
The Climate here is a warm temperate reaching an average of +12C during spring and fall and in the mid 20's and sometimes 30's during the summer, and around -10C in the winter

Status within the region:
None yet as no history to discuss, but generally neutral. As of making this the CFC is semi isolationist and autarkal, opting out of international trade, but willing to join the negotiation table for other matters. The CFC also has completely open borders so it's somewhat respected in that regard.

The general strikes began to turned into armed partisans as the government of Benelux were found out that they’re related to scandals and huge corruption cases which caused the economy of Benelux Republic to hit a nose dive due to the workers lost their employment because of an insufficient funds to pay all of the wages to the people, turning the situation worse for them.

The so-called general strike started to turn into revolutionary partisans, armed with weapons and turning against the government, wanting to abolish the form of government. Most violent uprisings were in Brussels, Amsterdam, The Hague, Luxembourg City and Antwerp. Battles after battles, the government are unable to sustain their situation as the partisans use explosive charges to blow up infrastructures and espionage tactics to track down their devious plans.

After the government declared an unconditional surrender, city streets were filled with joy as the Syndicalists have successfully overthrown the government, leading a new path to Benelux. They start to abolish the form of government, labour wages and etc etc. Since they’re Syndicalists, they’re heavily emphasized on the trade and labour unions as well as direct-democracy to their work environment.
