The Yuridanian People's Republic
⠀
⠀✰ GENERAL INFORMATION:
The Yuridanian People's Republic, or simply Yuridan, is a one party socialist state located occupying the island of Yuridan and its surrounding smaller islets. Formerly home to a capitalist society, everything changed following the successful prosecution of the Liberation War in 2005, when Supreme Chairman Josi and his United Yuridanian People's Party overthrew the oligarchs to establish a free, socialist and progressive society for all Yuridanians. Today, the People's Republic is a bustling beacon for the socialist revolution, home to a proud people of roughly 24 million Yuridanians.
The country is predominately composed of mountains and uplands, separated by deep and narrow valleys. A great majority of the population lives in the plains and lowlands. The largest urban center is the capital, the Chairman's City, located in the south eastern coastal region of the country. Yuridan has a humid continental climate.
The de facto official language of the People's Republic is English, as it is the language of the Supreme Chairman.
