NationStates is the most boring game I've ever played.
There are many online games, and offline games that beat the ass of NationStates. I used to hate Democracy 3, because it pissed me off by being very unrealistic, but now I see that it's way better than Nation States

I have the opposite perspective, this game can get too exciting for me but that's because I make an effort to keep my nation even and in the center.

It is what you make it. I personally like making the dumbest choices that I think will end up in the most comical situations.

The excitement of the game mostly stems from beyond it's mechanics. In this website, one is able to envision their nation as they see fit. rationalize it's history, values and politics.

One of the best games for worldbuilders in my opinion, such as I

Can't help but feel a bit of déjà-vu from this - a few months ago, someone came with this exact same premise.

Well, my personal goal as a leader is to align my country with the social teachings of the Catholic Church. So far, my people are healthy, wealthy, and happy. I get excited when I am provided with a new opportunity to assist their flourishing.

I haven't answered any issues in what...Two years at least. Probably three, maybe even four. Haven't posted on the forum much, either. The fun for me lies in regional roleplaying. This game has many different aspects. You could have fun with one of them, without being even remotely interested in the others. If the game was only issues, yeah... I think I would have left. But the community matters much more. Not the NSG one even, but the one you choose for yourself, whoever they may be.

The best thing about nation states is the friends you make through it, just find a region you can connect with and you'll see why it's so good

'the most boring?' There's other 'super-boring games' out there. If you still want a Social Studies-based game, just play Hearts of Iron 4. Other than that, I have no problem w/ this game except waiting for Issues to pop up. Why do Issues take hours when IRL, the Western World has many issues popping up faster than that?

NationStates is slow paced, but sometimes hilarious. I started playing again couple days ago after almost 9 years of hiatus. Well, I guess NationStates was not even meant to be serious simulation.
