A World Isolated (Inrov Only)

Postby Aellyria » Fri Dec 13, 2019 8:12 am

Lord Necromancer Alecto the Fifth waited politely for the council of Inrov to clear his shuttle for landing, he was here to represent the Holy Necromantic Empire of Aellyria to the people of Inrov. He was wearing his necromantic suit, it was a type one suit, new and freshly made just for him and the other Lord Necromancer's. The Holy Emperor himself had chosen him for this mission himself. He was one of the Nine, nine lords who had been elevated by the holy hand of the Emperor. He sat there playing with a handful of his nanites, letting them trail along his suit in hypnotic patterns. When one of his shadow cultists entered his study, kneeling in front of him, their bone colored skin seeming to glow slightly under their pitch black hood.

"My Lord Fifth, we have been cleared to land." she said.

Alecto nodded, "Let us go." he said standing, allowing his mask to slide over his face.

Inrov Orbit
CS Valour

Brother-Captain Krogan watched the sensors of his vessel closely as the little shuttle awaited permission to land. He had finished running its signature through the ships identification protocol, and it had come up cleared. He then nodded his head to the communications officer sitting at the communications station, and a channel was opened.

In a deep voice, with a great amount of authority in its sound, he said “Aellyrian shuttle, you have passed identification and are cleared to begin landing approach vector alpha, we are transmitting that vector to you now”

The vector would lead the shuttle through a gentle decent to an improvised landing field, a cleared out section of land that wasn’t fertile enough for crops, and which was regularly used by the Valours own shuttle for onloading and off loading cargo and Personel.

The Brother-Captain then said “Thank you for your patience, and please enjoy your time in Inrov”

Inrov Landing Area

Council Elder Vex Morgan stood at the landing area, clad in full ceremonial battle plate, one of the few such suits that they had been able to recover, his face covered by an armored helmet, such a helmet now a rare sight within the galaxy since the dissolving of the Vanguard legions. Beside him stood fellow council member Legas Polaran, a veteran of the legion and unknown to most outsiders also the primary commander of recovery expeditions held to bring back discovered Vanguard equipment, particularly armor, as the legendary power armor that the Black Shields wore was both no longer made but also very rare, not to mention it requires a supply is spare parts to maintain the units that they already possessed.

Vex opened up the encrypted personal communications channel he shared with his fellow council member and said “What is our intel on these visitors?”

Legas shrugged “As far as we are aware, it is a high ranking autocrat that likes to call himself a necromancer, fancy name that”

Vex nodded and said “Indeed” he watched as his helmet displayed the vector path that the shuttle would be taking, and all he could do was wait as his new visitors made their way down.

Alecto stepped out of his shuttle, preferring to leave his shadow cultists on the shuttle for now, after all they could always join him later. He gave a slight bow to the men who came to greet him, he had of course done his research. The Holy Empire had been researching the Conclave of Inrov for a good while now. It was important to find who the Empire could call allies after all. "Greetings Councilmen, I am Alecto the Fifth, Lord-Necromancer to the most Holy Emperor, Andreas Aeylgarn. I am elated to meet you as his representative." he said.

Inrov

Vex gave a slight glance towards Legas, slight enough that someone who was not paying attention would have missed it even if he had not been wearing the helmet, with it on however, it was near impossible to spot. He then said “Greegings, we are delighted to have the privilege of hosting your visit here in our humble colony, we do not get many visitors, so this is a welcome change”

He then said “I am Council Elder Vex Morgan, and this is my associate and fellow council member Legas Polaran.”

Legas nodded and said “Salutations”

Vex then said “The meeting hall is this way, it is where the requested discussion will take place” he motion with a large, armored hand toward a relatively large building near the center of the settlement. People were bustling about, tending to crops, crafting and cutting wood, and some were even moving about performing various physical exercises in the training grounds that had been constructed, so that the former super soldiers could exercise and keep themselves in peak condition. It wasn’t much in comparison to more advanced colonies of the empires, but to those that lived there, it was home, and one they had crafted from scratch.

Alecto nodded and followed the two into the meeting hall, two of his shadow cultists joining him from the shuttle. "Inrov is certainly an interesting place, The Holy Empire values Inrov's ideology, living a simpler life has many benefits that are overlooked in the modern world." he said.

Vex nodded, and simply said “It has helped us to see things in a different light, and to appreciate things that we used to take for granted. However we also enjoy a peaceful, purposeful life here, each and every person here works for the betterment and prosperity of the community” he then said “Even if our community has more than its fair share of unique problems”

Alecto shrugged, "Every society has problems, the Holy Empire is not perfect, but we strive to be live piously. No mortal can be perfect, not even the Aeylgarns are perfect, gods bless them." Alecto seemed to survey the area as they walked, "You have a beautiful world here, I can see the Order of Freyi being interested in setting up a monastery here, they are pacifists and nature lovers at that, if you want the company that is." He said, personally he was not going to try to get a monastery set up here, while the Order of Freyi would like it, he was indifferent to that, his first goal was to make a new ally for the Holy Empire.

He nodded and said “Anyone is welcome as long as they are willing to contribute and do not cause trouble” he then said “We can only take so much credit, most of this was the work of the planets biosphere itself,we simply moved in”

He then said “There is still much about this planet that we do not know, we have neither the resources nor the time to constantly scan and explore it, we do what we can, but it’s usually small expeditions that last no more than a week or two”

Alecto nodded, "Perhaps the Order of Freyi could be of assistance to you, I could contact them if you want, they would be most eager to settle a new monastery." he said thinking of the possibilities.

He paused to take in the beauty of this virtually untouched world, it was quite lovely. This is what he appreciated in this overly mechanized world, this beauty.
