In my case, growing up most of the stuff I heard at parties was instrumental cumbia, salsa, high energy electronic stuff, more 80s pop and Italo disco. Did I mention 80s pop in general?

I understand this may be confusing to you, and that the word Hispanic means something else in your language. I'm sorry that American English chose these meanings for these words, and erased the old meanings. I think that the Native Americans, which the Americans called "Indians" at least until very recently, had a similar problem.

Really? I searched for latin party music and got a whole lotta stuff. Planchas for those who like em, latin trap, perreo and reggaetón and latín house.

I've noticed house and techno and edm is mostly european. Like having the word latin in front of house will likely get you spanish djs

Also depends on the people you hang around with and the times. Growing up in latin america fiestas rarely had anything other than actual Latin rhythms

Hispanic includes Spaniards, which is why I use that term. It's like excluding the use of "Anglo" to English people because its a term used to describe the US/Canada/Australia/New Zealand.

Latino/Latina, on the other hand, is a term that isn't applicable to me. And FYI you came off as pretty condescending

No, he is not latino, which means someone from latin america. Spanish people are very much hispanics.

Is there alot of phenotypical diversity in Spain and Portugal? I would try to guess but I can't tell which Latinos are almost completely Iberian and which are mixed, so you can't base the appearance of Spaniards totally off of them.

My mistake, forgot the "in general" at the end. Then again, I think it depends on who are you asking. Maybe Northerners (like myself, a random bloke from Galicia) could be whiter than Shakira, but maybe not so much for the rest of Spain in general.

It really depends. My family are all Asturians, I'd say roughly 20% of them are blonde and the rest are brunettes, as for eye color about half have light eyes and the rest brown. Skin-color wise they're, like, "generic" white? Not olive but not really pale, if you get what I mean.

If you want the AncestryDNA results of an Asturian (me) then this is what it gave me, both my parents were born in Asturias and for all the digging I've done on my family history I've only ever found 2 distant relatives from the 1800s born elsewhere (both Catalans);

It's practically a different world compared to the other parts of Spain. I typically visit family once or twice a year and only ever stay where they live, but I've been able to visit Madrid, Seville, Barcelona, Granada, etc and each autonomous community has a very distinct identity. It's honestly to the point that there is no single Spanish culture, Spain is a mosaic of different cultures that all once had their own countries yet were absorbed into Castile/Spain and to this day have very strong connections to their roots.
