Will the 2020s be another "Roaring 20s?"

The 1920s was an era of unprecedented wealth expansion in the Modern world before the world wars started to kick in, do you think the 2020s will be another case of "Roaring 20s?" We have had unprecedented advances in sciences and the world is as peaceful as ever.

No. Also needs more OP and a poll. I'd say the next economic crisis cycle will hit before or after 2020 and current issues might get worse in the next decade or peak.

The last roaring decade were really (for some) the 1990s. And maybe the 2000s to an lesser extend until 2008.

Well, we didn't have WW3 in 2014, so I heavily doubt we'll have the same sort of stuff that we saw a decade ago. However, the plausibility of a WW3 is becoming more and more likely imo, so WW3 in like 2039 (for the memes) doesn't seem like it's entirely inaccurate. But no, they will not be. We don't have the same causation.

Why would it be? The circumstances in the 20s of this century and prior are totally different to the circumstances of the 20s of the previous century and prior.

You may as well ask if there will be another world war starting at the end of the 30s of this century, on the basis that there was one in the previous century; it'd be just as nonsensical a question to ask. :roll:

Ok I'll add a poll. I'm thinking positively since 2020s is a banner year, very rare repeating one and is an Olympic year too.

Well market forces tend to be cyclical though, I study stock valuations and bear and bull runs are cycylical.

Just judging by the current state of the American economy in terms of consumer buying power, inflation, and whatnot, I'm going to say no. If anything, I'd argue that we might be due for a mild to moderate recession in the coming years, probably not next year or anything drastic, but within the foreseeable next few years.

Drone delivery will probably become the norm by the end of the 20s. This will include everything from packages to pizza.

There's the potential for it, but probably not. Economic crisis seems more likely than growth, and on the subject of World Wars 1 and 2, a new set of world wars is extremely unlikely. Conventional warfare (especially between superpowers) has much higher risks and much lower rewards than it did in the past.

I get the strong feeling that socialism/communism is about to get really popular in the US soon. Like the Alt-right had its time in 15/16. The alt-left might have its shot in 2020.
