Women’s rights index
Very High
1. Saranidia
Details:
Women are politically empowered, are not discriminated against in employment and are treated in a gentlemanly way.
Discrimination against them is illegal and they have full human rights.
There are still a handful of misogynists though.
1. Estainia
Details: unlike Saranidia where men and women are seen as different but equally important,
Estania is a matriarchy.
Voxija
(Awaiting description)
2. Eternal Lotharia
Details:
Representation of women in positions of power is broadly proportionate.
They are under-represented in senior military roles but simply because they disproportionately choose religious leadership over military leadership.
They are treated as being of equal worth to men and also in an especially protective way.

Valentine Z:
Women have roughly equal access to jobs and have all basic human rights.
High
3. Samudera Darrusalam
3. Amazighland
( awaiting commentary)
Agantrop
Representation in most high positions is broadly equal,
Issues however exist in the distribution of land ownership.
Women have human rights but are denied the protections of chivalry by their constitution.
American Israeli Empire
Details: the equal value of men and women is promoted as is chivalry.
Women are conscripted but not forced to fight.
The elite jobs are broadly equal.
Shventailanka
Details: women’s representations in elite jobs is broadly representative to their proportions in the population.
However, government opposes chivalry towards women.
Bolslania
(Awaiting description)
The Alliance of Independent Systems
Moderate
Saralonia
Details: women are protected from discrimination by law, however, employment discrimination still apparently exists given the representation of women in elite jobs.
Furthermore chivalry towards women is not supported by the government.
Polish Prussian Commonwealth
Details: most women have equal human&political rights however in succession laws there is still discrimination.
Hamdiye
Details:
Democratic Exodian Territories
Details:
Women appear to be discriminated against in employment and they have never had a female head of state. Women do however have human rights.
Low
Estado Novo Portugues
Details:
Whilst the government claims that they treat men and women as equally important(but different) in practice women are prohibited from driving, holding political office and travelling freely as well as from being doctors, senior academics and lawyers.
Munkcestrian Republic
Details: despite some semblance of chivalry and the existence of female headteachers, women cannot vote or drive and are also prohibited from working as government ministers, police officers or judges.
Very low
Arachkya
Details: women are disadvantaged and oppressed in every conceivable area of life.
This partly is due a reaction against a previous, matriarchal regime.
Victorious Decepticons
Details: Women’s rights (along with the rights of all humans) do not exist.

Has your nation ever had a female head of state: Unfortunately, no.
Has your nation ever had a female head of government: Still, it's a unfortunate no.
Percentage of women in the population: 48%
Percentage of women in...
Senior military officers: 26%
School headteachers/principals: 46%
Legislature or equivalent: 50%
Judges: 46%
Police officers: 38%
Cabinet ministers: 47%
Senior academics: 55%
Religious leaders: 35%
Lawyers: 45-50%
Doctors: 52%
CEOs: 46%
Major landowners: 71%

Percentage of women in the prison population: 38%

Percentage of women amongst victims of murder: 49%

Percentage of women amongst victim of sexual crime: 65%

Are the punishments for crimes with predominantly female victims less severe than the punishment for other crimes of similar harm and blameworthiness?: No, the court and criminal justice system is very egalitarian, basing judgement on people as a person, rather than man or woman. This goes for both the victim and the perpetrator. However, there are minor "gaffs", aka, harsher judgments for male offenders in local courts, but this is very much not the norm.

Average Sentence for violent/sexual crimes with female victims: 0,5-4 years of "Prison" Rehabilitation if the crime is violent. 1,5-5,5/6 years of "Prison" Rehabilitation if the crime is a single sexual offence.

Average sentence for violent or sexual crimes with male victims: 0,5-4 years of "Prison" Rehabilitation if the crime is violent. 1-5 years of "Prison" Rehabilitation if the crime is a single sexual offence.

Does your nation support chivalry towards women?: No, it does not. A egalitarian society such as the one in Amazighland can not exist if half the population is given special treatment based solely on their gender.

Does your nation support gender equality? Yes, it does. This goes hand-in-hand with the Amazighland's egalitarianist doctrine. There are extensive programs to promote the equality of men and women and their diversity as individuals and talented persons.

Are there any laws that only apply to women(if so, what are they)?: Yes, there are certain auxiliary protections for women, primarily on the labour market: these are maternity leave and regulation for the employment of pregnant women.

Are there any laws that only apply to men(if so, what are they): No.

Do human rights laws apply to women?: Yes, lol.

Other relevant policies and/or laws: Maternity leave is often considered "parental leave" in general, so men are not excluded from the benefit of receiving money while tending to one's child at home. It is just that parental leave is primarily requested by child-rearing mothers.

Percentage of women amongst victims of murder: 13%

Percentage of women amongst victim of sexual crime: 26%

Are the punishments for crimes with predominantly female victims less severe than the punishment for other crimes of similar harm and blameworthiness?: punishments for crimes against female victims are always more severe and carry the maximum possible sentence.
average Sentence for violent/sexual crimes with female victims: Death
average sentence for violent or sexual crimes with male victims: Depending on severity, flogging in the public forum, assignment to a labor camp/facility, up to death, are all possibilities. Most infractions are covered by public flogging.
Does your nation support chivalry towards women?
Yes, in the extreme.
Does your nation support gender equality?
No, gender is by definition, not equal. Women are not prohibited from pursuing a career or serving the State, but they are heavily discouraged from doing so with social ostracizing and a set of social expectations that encourage them to be mothers and home makers. Women who choose to defy social convention are not punished by the state, but they tend to live isolated and lonely lives.
Are there any laws that only apply to women(if so what are they)?:
There are a number of laws regarding proper dress that apply to women. Women are not allowed to wear clothes that reveal too much.
Are there any laws that only apply to men(if so what are they):
There are Male dress codes as well, and a number of criminal codes that really only get used on Men. Women may be sentenced to death or imprisonment, but are exempt from corporal punishment.
Do human rights laws apply to women?: "Human Rights," dont really exsist in my Nation. There are Civilian and Citizen rights, but no one has any rights just for being human.
Other relevant:
Marriage is permanent in the COSS with divorce allowed only in extreme circumstances. Adultery is punishable by death for anyone, male or female, found engaging in such activities. Premarital sex is considered a form of adultery, but may be punished less severely than marital adultery depending on the age of the participants and the severity of the acts committed.
I use NS stats for the most part, excepting where issues and stats dont make sense with my Nation's setting.

My Nation is roughly based on my actual political beliefs; it is a form of Socialist Republic, in which citizenship is granted for government service (either military or civil, think Starship Troopers), with a very heavy environmentalist and conservative bent.

While women and men have equal political and civil rights, they are for the most part expected to do different things.

Has your nation ever had a female head of state:
No, and it never will. The Holy Catholic State of Portugal is a theocracy jointly ruled by the Pope and the Civil Director. By definition, the Pope can only be a man because Roman Catholic priesthood is a requirement, and the Church does not ordain women. In addition, women may not hold any political office.

By definition in our law, rape can only be committed by a man against an unmarried woman. If done by a man to a man, or a woman to a woman, the crime is charged as sodomy. If done by a woman to a man, the crime is charged as adultery or fornication.

Are the punishments for crimes with predominantly female victims less severe than the punishment for other crimes of similar harm and blameworthiness?:
no

Average sentence for violent/sexual crimes with female victims:
Hard labor and corporal punishment (caning).

Average sentence for violent or sexual crimes with male victims:
Hard labor and corporal punishment (caning).

Does your nation support chivalry towards women?
Yes. Men are expected to hold the door for women, and pay the check at restaurants. There is also a "women and children first" rule on ships in case of emergency.

Does your nation support gender equality?
Portugal is a very traditional society. Men and women have different responsibilities (men: business and politics, women: motherhood and domestic work) but they are both considered equally important.

Are there any laws that only apply to women(if so what are they)?:
Women may not work in government or military jobs (except teaching, nursing and hospitality), own businesses, drive cars, study in universities, or travel abroad (unless accompanied by their husbands). In addition, women may not be sentenced to death for common crimes, but may still be executed for offenses against the Church (heresy, blasphemy, sacrilege, etc.).

Are there any laws that only apply to men(if so what are they):
Military service is compulsory for all male citizens (except those working in government jobs, or only sons with no brothers).

Do human rights laws apply to women?:
Other than the mentioned restrictions, women have the same rights and responsibilities as men. But this is an authoritarian (even fascist) right-wing dictatorship, so don't expect too much freedom for anybody.

Other relevant policies and/or laws:
Abortion is illegal and considered a serious crime like murder. Hospitals are required to investigate all miscarriages for any possibility of abortion.
IC name: Holy and Pontifical State of Portugal

Has your nation ever had a female head of state? | No. The head of state is the office and highest magistrate of the archonate, an annually elected post open only to those who have ascended the prior course of offices. This requires direct election to the lowest public office, affording entry to the Senate, and these positions are only open to adult citizen men. No woman has ever served as archon.

Has your nation ever had a female head of government? | The archons serve as head of state and of government, see above.

Percentage of women in the population: | Approximately 50%.

Percentage of women in...

Senior military officers: | 0%. Women do not serve in the military.

School headteachers/principals: | Greater than 0%, but as no such census is conducted an accurate figure is impossible to divulge.

Legislature or equivalent: | 0%. To be male is a requirement for entry to the Senate.

Judges: | Effectively 0%. Ephyra has no professional judges. Citizens who may preside over trials however are exclusively male.

Police officers: | Effectively 0%. Women may not serve for the same purpose that they do not serve in the military.

Cabinet ministers: | None. To serve on the executive council requires Senatorial membership.

Senior academics: | Ephyra has no such equivalent post.

Religious leaders: | Greater than 0%. Ephyra does not possess a centralised religious hierarchy. Female priesthoods do exist however, although they are a minority.

Lawyers: | 0%. Citizen women may not stand to defend another citizen, and may not stand to defend themselves. Non-citizen women may do the latter but not the former.

Doctors: | No survey has been conducted of gender balance in medical field, but women are not barred from becoming doctors. Women overwhelmingly work as nurses however. These women tend to be non-citizens of varying social status, with most professional doctors being citizen men, whilst citizen women are domestic.

CEOs: | Effectively 0%. Similarly to doctors, no such survey has been conducted, and whilst no legal barrier prevents them from doing so, the number of female CEOs is so low as to make 'none' a viable answer.

Major landowners: | Though women can and do own land and property, fewer than 5% of Ephyra's 'major landowners' are women - the majority of these being heiresses.

Percentage of women in the prison population: | ~3%. In part due to reduced female disposition to criminality, and citizen women usually being sentenced to confinement in the home to be enforced by the relevant male guardian. Non-citizen women convicted of crimes that qualify a prison sentence will be imprisoned.

Percentage of women amongst victims of murder: | ~10%. Attitudes that women require protection increase the taboo of harming or killing them in relation to men. Citizen women are per capita less likely to be murdered.

Percentage of women amongst victim of sexual crime: | ~60%. Though greater than half, Ephyra sees a far higher proportion of male victims of sexual crime, usually perpetrated by other men. Citizen women are per capita less likely to be sexually assaulted. Only citizen women can claim to have been raped however, and non-citizen women can press a maximum charge of sexual assault.

Are the punishments for crimes with predominantly female victims less severe than the punishment for other crimes of similar harm and blameworthiness? | No. On the contrary, harming a woman is typically a more severe crime if the perpetrator is male.

Average sentence for violent or sexual crimes with female victims: | No viable average exists. The crimes committed against men and women are not committed equally.

Average sentence for violent or sexual crimes with male victims: | No viable average exists. The crimes committed against men and women are not committed equally.

Does your nation support chivalry towards women? | Simplistically yes. In a more complicated manner, Ephyra possesses its own ancestral mores of values and honour that dictate conduct towards women in an uncodified manner. Emphasis however is to protect women, treat women kindly, and to not harm them. This focuses primarily on citizen women but is applied to non-citizen women unless an active reason exists to not do so.

Does your nation support gender equality? | No. Citizen opinion is divided on the matter of metaphysical equality of the soul, with some arguing that the male and female souls are equal in worth but that the female soul needs to be ruled by the male, or that the male soul is outright superior to the female - though other minority views exist. Important to note is that even though women do not typically partake in the philosophical discussions held by citizens, the perception of women on their soul's equality to that of the male's is itself splintered, with some women arguing for equality of the soul and others for their own inferiority, and even the women of the former hold the view that women are the ruled and men are the rulers. Agreed upon generally however is that as males and females are fundamentally different, no true equality can exist between them. They must be treated differently as they serve different capacities with different expectations, with women conventionally placed under the administration of related men.

States in which a mandated equality between men and women exists are viewed as de facto matriarchal, as they allow the more impulsive and chaotic women the equality that will allow them to manipulate the state for their own selfish ends.

Citizen women exist under the patriarchal personal authority and legal power of the family's 'familial father', a male who may not be their actual biological father, but their grandfather, uncle, or brother depending on the family. If her own father is not her familial father, he also has power over her but his judgement can be overruled by the familial father, who will never be a male less senior than her own father. If her biological father is also her familial father, he has the duties and power of the latter over her as they entail the former. Absolute obedience and deference is expected to her father and familial father should the two be different. Her marriage will be organised by her familial father, and he possesses full legal power over her freedom and life - empowered to sell her into slavery or even kill her for transgressions against the family (such a right exists over all men who do not possess the rights of the familial father themselves).

No obedience is legally expected to a woman's husband however and he does not become her familial father in terms of power. However a wife remains recognised as a subordinate to her husband insofar that her say in what he does in his active capacity to represent the family in the public sphere is absent lest he be actively endangering them. Idealised however is the concept that should a man both ascend to be a familial father in his own right, and possess about his person a dignity and honour accumulated through diligent public service to the state and to his family, acquiring the peer-applied quality of characteristic authority to him, his wifde acknowledge his character appropriately and obey him as though she were his daughter.

The domestic duties of women though largely invisible to the public world are by no means undervalued, and the philosophical idea of the educated and patriotic 'freeholder motherhood' is very important. As the family or household is the microcosm and essentially component of the larger state, and it is the task of women to manage this household effectively, women are entirely regarded as vital to the upkeep of civilisation in the role of daughters, wives, and mothers; the unseen pillars of social morality and domestic civility. It just remains a broadly accepted fact of reality that women require male might over them to keep them safe and to keep them on the honourable path.

Are there any laws that only apply to women(if so what are they)? | Women, specifically citizen women as far as defining these rights are concerned, are ineligible to stand for political office or vote. They are citizens, for they are protected by the laws that apply to citizens, but are positioned in a secondary order of citizens which does not entail the rights of suffrage of honours (office). Women cannot enlist into the military or police. Women can only be accused of passive adultery, though this is not a legal term, it addresses the idea that a woman 'receives' the intruding male into her body due to the female's naturally sexually submissive state - it does not mean she has not encouraged it, as indeed, it is typically viewed that she did as women are more lustful. Others exist, but these are some of the core.

Are there any laws that only apply to men(if so what are they)? | Only men will be called upon in times of crisis to be conscripted into the military. Only men can be accused and convicted of rape, due to the presence of a phallic-receiver or penetrator-penetrated sexual dichotomy. Only men can be accused of active adultery, again a non-legal term, meaning that he as the naturally sexually dominant partner, has transgressed against another man by penetrating sexually his wife or daughter - the transgression is upon him because as a male he is expected to be of greater self-control. As with women, others exist, but these comprise a few of the core laws or perceptions.

Do human rights laws apply to women? | No, but only because Ephyra does not apply what are commonly regarded as human rights.

has your nation ever had a female head of state: No, simply because WLO is a very young nation that has only had about 1 or 2 leaders so far
Has your nation ever had a female head of government: No, see above
Percentage of women in the population: 49%
Percentage of women in...
Senior military officers: 20%, most Orosian Women choose Careers in Medicine or Law as opposed to Military Careers
School headteachers/principals: 78%
Legislature or equivalent: 48%
Judges: 40%
Police officers: 52%
Cabinet ministers: 33%
Senior academics: 48%
Religious leaders: 67%, although very few men or women express interest in positions of religious authority. Of the few Religious leaders in WLO, most are women.
Lawyers: 58%
Doctors: 84%
CEOs: The position of "CEO" does not exist in West Leas Orosian business structure, making this question not applicable The closest equivalent is mentioned on the line below.
Union Representatives/Worker Council Officials: 49%
Major Landowners: 0%, the concept of "Land Ownership" is considered invalid by Orosians, as it is regarded as a form of private property. The percentage of male landowners is also 0%

Percentage of women in the prison population: 5.5%

Percentage of women amongst victims of murder: 27%

Percentage of women amongst victim of sexual crime: 67%

Are the punishments for crimes with predominantly female victims less severe than the punishment for other crimes of similar harm and blameworthiness?: Not usually, The Orosian Justice System strives to be impartial with criminals, but overall, Orosian judges are slightly harsher when the victim of crime is female, a position that has been met with controversy.

average Sentence for violent/sexual crimes with female victims: upwards of 30 years in incarceration and rehabilitation, possible exile or deportation, placed on database of violent/sexual criminals

average sentence for violent or sexual crimes with male victims: upwards of 27 years in incarceration and rehabilitation, possible exile or deportation, placed on database.

Does your nation support chivalry towards women? No, West Leas Oros considers chivalry an obsolete concept that harms the agency of Orosian men and women alike. It is widely regarded as a harmful system tied to classist rhetoric.

Does your nation support gender equality? Yes, insofar as the Orosian government argues that no Orosian stands above another in inherent merit, and that the value of an Orosian is based on their contributions and the consequences of their actions.

Are there any laws that only apply to women(if so what are they)?: No, The Orosian Government considers that laws are to be held universally to all within Orosian borders.

Are there any laws that only apply to men(if so what are they): No, see above

Do human rights laws apply to women?: Human Rights are widely upheld to all Orosians, regardless of race, gender, class, creed, nationality, etc.
Other relevant policies and/or laws: Not an official policy, but unofficially, identitarian rhetoric regarding race, gender, nationality, etc. (although class is regarded as not equivalent to other identities, given it's highly fluid nature), is to be avoided at all costs. Has your nation ever had a female head of state:
The first turtle monarch in TurtleShroom was a Queen. Up until 1919 AD, most turtle monarchs in TurtleShroom were female. There was not a human head of state until the twenty-first century. He was male.

The last female head of state and the last Queen of TurtleShroom, of any species, died in office in the year 1919 AD as a Chancellor following the dissolution of the monarchy in 1912 AD. However, every Majestic Twelve (the pool from which the heads of state are drawn by lot) has had females on its candidacy. TurtleShroom's heads of state were selected by sortition from twelve candidates, so this is entirely connected to the luck of the draw. No female head of state has been drawn since then.

Has your nation ever had a female head of government:
See above. The Crown is both the head of state and government.

Percentage of women in the population:
  • Turtle population: seventy percent (due to tropical climate)
  • TS White humans: forty-two percent
  • Oriental humans: nearly a fifty-fifty split
  • Other races: varies from forty to fifty percent

Percentage of women in...
  • Senior military officers: Aproximately thirty-three percent for humans, seventy percent for turtles. The lower the brass, the more females present. However, the greatest TurtleShroomer generals of the nineteenth and twentieth century were female humans.
  • School headteachers/principals: Approximately thirty-two percent for humans, sixty-three percent for turtles (assistant principals, where they exist, have vastly higher female rates)
  • Legislature or equivalent:
    Currently N/A.
Of five hundred Senators of all species in the final Congress (approximately around 2012 AD), one hundred were female. The Glenn Party's (one of the largest and oldest parties) mushroom chairman resigned after the Civil War. Taking his place was Fannie Kickbuttshard, a female human and longstanding Party Whip. Human females were likewise disproprotionately represented in party offices. Furthermore, several partisan officers (e.g. whip) and leadership roles were held by females.

  • Judges:
All non-specialized judges in TurtleShroom are elected. Turtle judges are overwhelmingly female (eighty-four percent) and human judges are overwhelmingly male (eighty percent). Female humans are de facto prohibited from serving as divorce circuit judges, which are a separate organ of the judiciary and consistent almost entirely of clergy.

  • Police officers:
The second-most powerful creature in the Ministry of the Police is Agni Badwell, who is seen as a sure-in for the office of Constaple On Patrol, which is the country's highest police official. Human beat cops are almost entirely male, but higher ranking cops, bureaucrats, and especially Internal Affairs are more female than male. Females tend to work with white-collar crime. Females overwhelmingly make up the social services, DFACS, and pretty much anything working with children before the law.

  • Cabinet ministers: N/A. The Executive Cabinet is currently under a transitionary body following a bloody Civil War.
  • Senior academics: The percentage varies widely depending on the degree, the major, the subject, the context, and more. Some fields have few, if any females, while others have an equal split.
  • Religious leaders:
For mainstream Protestant, Orthodox, and Catholic Christians, the nuber is zero. Non-humans are barred from being fully ordained Christian clergy. For Taiping heretics, thirty-six percent. For Yue Pagans, one hundred percent. For Tengris, forty percent. Other religions vary greatly.

  • Lawyers:
TurtleShroomers are traditionally taught law, court procedures, and a basic course akin to law school before they graduate high school. Most TurtleShroomers, regardless of sex or species, can represent themselves adequately at court.

Professional TurtleShroomian lawyers generally serve as advisors and guides to the defendants that represent themselves. When human professional lawyers do exist and act independnetly, they are almost exclusively male. In criminal cases, lawyers are almost never called: the police itself dispatches a prosecutor that is also a policeman and not a lawyer. These policemen-prosecutors are majority female.

Outside of criminal cases, female humans almost never argue in court unless they are representing themselves; however, female humans are predominantly the clerical workers, law clerks, and so on in the background.

  • Doctors: It depends on the profession, but there are more female human doctors than men overall. A majority of medics in TS are female. The largest human female share in medicine are gynecologists, midwives and birth coaches, wet nurses, and so on, the total of which is almost ninety-nine percent female. Large numbers of human males were never in any nursing positions for as long as TurtleShroom has existed, so the human nursing percentage is nearly ninety-seven percent female. A baby must be delivered before witnesses, including a doctor, but the doctor does not usually preside over the actual birthing of the baby.
  • CEOs:
The extreme diversity of TurtleShroomian corporate structures, the lack of any real regulation on corporate organizing, and other such factors mean that the office of CEO does not always exist. This diversity is so great that no survey of female CEO's has ever been taken.

However, the largest and wealthiest corporation in TurtleShroom has an all-female executive board. Only the CEO, Bessford Bee, is a male, and he is both TurtleShroom's tallest and richest creature.

  • Major landowners: Almost all major human female landlords in TurtleShroom are widows, siblings who cooperated with brothers, pooled/mutual fund investors, or heirs. In inheritance, land ownership is pretty much always divided on an exact proportion where all females stand in line with the males based on true cognatic seniority. No laws exist limiting purchases of land based on sex.

Percentage of women in the prison population: Twenty percent for human females. About fifty-fifty for turtles.

Percentage of women amongst victims of murder: Seventeen percent for human females killed by all other species of sapient life in the country. Among turtles murdered by other turtles, females make about one or two percent. Among turtles murdered overall, females make up about half.

Percentage of women amongst victim of sexual crime: Ninety percent.

Are the punishments for crimes with predominantly female victims less severe than the punishment for other crimes of similar harm and blameworthiness?: No, the opposite is true.

Average sentence for violent/sexual crimes with female victims: For rape, death or life in prison. For child molestation and pedophilia, death or life in prison. For lower crimes, see the definition of vice in TurtleShroom.

Average sentence for violent or sexual crimes with male victims: Rape requires penetration. Under TS law, a female human of the age of majority cannot rape a male human of the age of majority; . This is instead called "Grand sexual assault", and lists when a female coerces, blackmails, etc. a man into getting her penetrated, etc., and is punishable by up to life in prison. This is rarely, if ever the sentence handed down. Death cannot be applied in grand sexual assault. The assaulter is usually sterilized and/or given a hysterectomy. For lower crimes, see the definition of vice in TurtleShroom.

Does your nation support chivalry towards women? Not only is this encouraged, it is enforced and most schools are mandated to teach it. The Church echoes this matter as well, more strongly than the state. A human male mistreating or dishonoring a human female is considered a particularly outrageous dishonor and will be aggressively punished if it breaks the law.

Does your nation support gender equality?
TurtleShroom's only anti-discrimination law that applies to the private sector (as long as it is not a life-critical service like food, police, fire, medicine) is sex-related. Unlike every other qualification, an employer must have a reason when he chooses not to hire a female creature over a male one. That reason is almost exclusively laid at the feet of female humans being weaker or more emotional than male humans. The former is almost always granted, the latter depends drastically on the situation and is rejected in many fields oujtright. Female humans cannot have a separate standard applied to them: to get into a job that has a test (be it physical or otherwise) they must pass a man's test the same as a man.

Do human rights laws apply to women?:
All "pure", organic, sapient life is equal before the law in TurtleShroom, regardless of sex or any other demographic. ("Impure" refers to chimeras.)

Females and males of all species maintain the same rights as each other. All females can own land, found businesses, invest and hold money, make legal decisions for themselves and others, stand for inheritance, drive and hold a job, and everything else. Females can initiate a divorce with the same reasons a male can and have a higher chance of getting custody, alimony, and other benefits (e.g. child support) if they are the faithful party in the divorce. (No-fault divorce is illegal in TurtleShroom and the law specifically favors the party that is not, or is less, at fault.)
