Liga PHM

Created to give indoor sports fans in the Melayu Archipelago something to do during the Melayu Netball Supaliga offseason, the Baranillian Minister of Sport, Oleksandr Markovic, decided to conduct a survey to see which sports were popular amongst citizens of nations in the Melayu Archipelago to see what sport should get a region-wide league.

Ice Hockey won the poll and proved popular amongst inhabitants of nations such as South East United, Tolol and Oxbridge City. Oleksandr Markovic then decided to create the league and name it 'Liga PHM', or 'Liga Piali Hoki Melayu' in full, with the suggested name being created by an Ice Hockey fan from Noryakubbya, who participated in Mr Markovic's poll.

Signups:
In order to sign up, you must:

• Be a nation who is a member of the Melayu Archipelago.
• Submit the team name, team nickname, arena name, arena capacity and city that the team is located in.
• Submit at least one team into Liga PHM (There is no maximum number of teams that one player can submit.)

Games:
Gameweeks will take place 4 times per real life week, with the results for 3 gamedays being posted at each of these occurances. The league table will also be posted to notify of the updates to the standings.

Once the regular season has finished (which will be 2-legged ties throughout the playoffs). The teams who make the semi-finals will qualify for the Hockey Champions League as a reward for their achievement.

Posting:
Whilst roleplaying matches is not required, participants are advised to create a post to notify me of the creation/renewing of a team and stadium alterations.

Other Information: Following an agreement made that stated that 5 Seraxinbourghian teams would participate in Liga PHM, it was decided that all 5 of these teams should be located near the border of Selasinia in order to reduce travel times between the Seraxinbourghian teams and the rest of the teams in the competition whilst the rest of the professional Ice Hockey teams in Seraxinbourgh would play in either the Coastal Ice Hockey League (CIHL) or the Central Hockey League (CHL) as they are located too far away from the Melayan Archipelago to compete in the Liga PHM as 3 matches per week between teams from this area and teams from the Melayan Archipelago would not be possible to accomplish.

As 32 teams have entered, the competition shall be split into 3 phases: a double round-robin phase that would last for 20 weeks and consist of 60 matches, from which the top 16 teams would advance to the playoff phase - a 2-legged 2 round competition which would reduce the 16 qualified teams down to just 4 teams, who will participate in the Hockey Champions League, as well as play in a finals week, aka the 'Final Four' - held in the 3 largest arenas throughout Western and Central Seraxinbourgh after a week off prior to this round in order to allow for transportation to this area. The 3 matches in this phase will all be a single-legged affairs and bringing the total length of Liga PHM to 24 weeks with the title being awarded to the winner of the 'Final Four'.
