What is the origin of the language/languages YN speaks?

Gondo nationally speaks English and Kultka. English originated from Pilgrims coming from England. Kultka is tribal, and is spoken commonly by all Gondonians. It was developed further by a famous author who went on a voyage and incorporated things she learned into the language in her books.

All legally recognised languages in Aikoland (our official language of French and our native minority languages of Aikoais, Saunian, and Boullién) are Romance languages which evolved from Vulgar Latin.

In the case of our native minority languages, all three of them had previously gone extinct by the late-18th century, although revival movements for all have been in place since the 20th century and they are legally permitted to be displayed on equal status with the French language.

Suhurbia's Federation language is English, though most people speak one of the 11 nation based languages. The nation based languages are the indigenous languages of Suhurbia and have similarities to real life extinct languages, each nation also have their own alphabet system. There are translators for inter-divisional communication, however if two people from two different divisions verbally interact with each other, they communicate in English.

Which brings me to English in Suhurbia. English was introduced to Suhurbia by English Ecorrian imperialists back before the federation. Ecorria failed in every way to spread its influence to Suhurbia, except for one thing: English. When the federation formed, the government agreed that there should be a Federation language, and due to the high presence of so many national languages, the government decided to use English as the Federation language so non-Nibbereans aren’t forced to learn CSL (Central Suhurbian Language), which would have been the federation language due to the political importance of Central Suhurbia.

The main languages of Yavakhstan are Turkic and Mongolic in origin with some Slavic and Germanic minor languages around.

English and Doggish are the two major languages of our nation (Though, not the official langue, as we don't recognize any official language)

English has its origins on the British Isles in the "Earth Universe" where we are believed to have been originally from. The language seems to be a strange mix of a variety of other human languages. While Germanic in origin, it possess a lexicon that borrows heavily from Latin languages. We can guess the reason was the Isles perpetual habit of being conquered and then colonized by a variety of different groups over the centuries.

Doggish has its origins here in Canis Terra in our Universe. After the "Event" (The name we give to the series of events that teleported us to the new universe, and gave us sapience in the process) we developed a means of communication between ourselves. It wasn't one unified processes however, and many branches split off of the original language. It wasn't until the rise of The Old Empire that there would be a singular Doggish language. However, by then, English had become the de facto language, as it was our means of communicating with the rest of the universes. Doggish by then was only really used in formal settings my the Imperial elite mostly out of xenophobia. However, with the great collapse of the empire, The event that lead to the creation of "The NEW Dog Nation", the language kinda fell apart and is now only really spoken in remote areas.

We speak Voxi. Voxi is descended from Basque with a couple of indigenous Viñak words.

Our two official languages are Calahan and Graemanian.

Calahan was spoken by the Calahan tribes that lived in modern day Calahonia. It is very closely related to Graemanian, which was brought popularized when Calahonia and its close neighbors, Graemania became a single kingdom. Today, both languages are spoken fluently by most citizens in both nations.

In attempt to consolidate control after the defeat of Napoleon and restoration of the House of Hanover to the Duchy of Ravenni, civil servants and aristocrats were imported from the United Kingdom, bringing with them their language, culture and legal systems. English quickly became established as the language of the ruling class, and it was eventually legislated as the nation-wide official language, while German, French and Italian were relegated to regional language status. Over time, this decision became seen as a pragmatic approach to forming a national identity that overruled the regional differences and divides that had plagued the Duchy since the Middle Ages. Despite massive political upheaval through the Nazi occupation and Cold War, Ravenni's abandonment of the Commonwealth and expulsion of the Hanoverian monarchy, English remains as the only official language recognised throughout the nation.

Catalunya's official language is Catalan, which is a Romance language, very closely related to Occitan (also an official language).
