Hmmm, maybe he won't necessarily be affiliated with the Sith, but perhaps he turns to the Dark Side and forsakes Jedi teachings? My plan was for him to be a former Jedi-in-training, then he finds the dark side of the force more appealing after x series of events, and he teaches himself the ways of the Dark Side. Maybe such a character could be an antagonist in a structured story?

Jedi have fallen numerous times before the point we're launching this setting at and they don't stop falling even long after the reformation, so that path is certainly a viable option. War is a catalyst for Jedi falling, and the galaxy has just emerged from a millennium of large scale conflict. The order is also fundamentally changing as they attempt to return to the old ways, where the Jedi were peacekeepers and not generals and warriors. This means numerous Jedi are losing power, possibly turning them away from the order over political reasons and starting their descent as some may go looking for power in the still fractured galaxy.

Do you have anything more than a rough idea at this point?

I have a personality, backstory, and his equipment figured out. I just need a name and ship. The type of character I'm looking at making is a young(er) former Jedi-in-training who fell because of some combination of anger and curiosity. This character will be human.

I doubt we can work the character in. A Darksiders would he problematic in the plot that has been worked up upon player request. But if you fill out the form we'll take a look.

NAME: (character's name here) Davin Vance
SPECIES: Human
APPEARANCE: (an image or a description) Caucasian male around 5'10" in height with reddish-brown hair that is kept somewhat short. Skin shows no sign of tanning but is not pale in appearance. His eyes are green in color. He wears a simple black robe under an old brown cloak. When he intends to fight, he dons a light amount Mandalorian armor plating that covers his torso, legs, and arms.
HISTORY: Davin was born in 1025 BBY on the higher levels of Coruscant. His family was economically well off, but not too well off, around the high-middle class. Not much is known of them, and he doesn't even remember their names, which he forgot 2 years after being taken to train at the Jedi Temple when he was 3. He was a powerful force user, but his master saw that he had hidden anger that spawned from him being a rather slow learner. Although a slow learner, when he did master something, he did it well. He often pored over tales of the Great War and closely examined Holocrons containing information about ways Jedi Masters harnessed the force. He often attempted to replicate what the Masters at the Temple did, more often than not to total failure. He learned the skills of flying a starfighter very early on, and became a very skilled pilot. He faithfully continued his studies for many years.

When he was 17, he often made visits to places where his Master would rather he not be, visiting many clubs and making a fair amount of friends. By this time, he had trained himself, with some help from his master, in Ataru, or Form IV lightsaber combat, which his master remarked, "Fit him almost perfectly, but he needs to learn more control." He was still a slow learner, however, which only brought back and increased his pent-up anger. He eventually found a Sith Holocron left by someone during the Great War, and kept it for himself. He pored over it's information, learning what powers were accessible through the Dark Side. His Master sensed unease in him, and became more and more suspicious until Davin was 21 years old.

Davin had found himself fascinated by what he learned with the Sith Holocron, but also greatly angered that the prospect of so much power had been concealed from everyone at the Jedi Temple by the High Council. He began to train alone after he armed himself with this knowledge, learning to harness anger and aggression into lightsaber combat and force use. His Master finally confronted him one night, and he lied his way out of the situation. Later, he went to where his Master was sleeping, and the ignition of Vance's saber awoke him. They both sprung into action, with Vance delivering a barrage of blows fueled by anger and aggression, while his Master tried to defend against it. After a long fight, his Master had tired, and Davin killed him after stabbing him through the back. Only then was his transition to the Dark Side complete, and he felt more power than he could have ever harnessed if he stayed in the light.

Over the next four years, Vance learned to use Force Lightning with increasing power each passing year. He saw the Force differently than the Jedi or Sith, viewing the Dark Side as ascendancy, rather than a side of the force, and viewed the Light as the transition to this ascendancy. Nowadays, he roams the Galaxy, visiting many places and trying to teach young people about his views, but can be very tempermental if the one he speaks to is devoted to the opposite view. He has had to fight a fair few people, some of which were Jedi. He harbors extreme anger, which ultimately is what helps him win duels when he harnesses that anger. His curiosity has also led him to go in search for Sith Holocrons, and is also looking to acquire a Kyber Crystal to construct his own saber. Even though he hates the Jedi, he would be willing to work with them if it benefited him in some way.

EQUIPMENT: (saber, comlink, etc) A blue saber he received when training as a Jedi, although he has been looking to acquire a Kyber Crystal to construct his own saber. A comlink and utility belt. An old, tattered brown cloak that he wears to conceal his identity.
MANNERISM: He naturally reaches for his saber when approached by someone, and when he touches the hilt he lets his hand back to whatever it was doing. He will often give a threatening stare to beings that displease him, and mostly talks in a hushed voice.
WORLD VIEW: He fervently hates the Jedi Order for hiding knowledge of the Dark Side, and views himself as neither a Jedi nor a Sith, but merely takes to the teachings of the Sith, viewing them as the next step after the Light in a force user's training, rather than a "side" of the force. He believes that people should be free to explore the Force as they wish without a strict order breathing down their neck.
PAIN POINTS: He adamantly refuses to discuss his past and where he came from, simply saying "I am no one." to those who ask. He deeply regrets murdering his Master at times and wonders if he could have done anything to sway him, rather than kill him.

First thing that really catches my eye is simple. As a ~17-year-old presumed Padawan, how does he gain access to the Masters only area of archives?

NAME: Master Korisra Stanste
Image

SPECIES: Human
APPEARANCE:
Standing at 5’6” and average height, Stanste is seemingly of average stature, physique. Forever wearing the traditional robes of the Jedi Order, his musculature is usually masked as such. Despite this fact, he holds the style of a trained athlete in one of the more practical sports, such as martial arts, with definition combined with the more leaner natures. With the majority of this built about his legs, the tanned skin about Stanste remarks a storied life with a small variety of scars from various origins from such things as shrapnel to blaster bolts and even the occasional slugthrower, for the most part the sorts of things gathered when he was upon his own in those early years. Stanste’s brown hair is gathered long, his beard kept to a good enough length, and his face is marred by age and stress. A breastplate is worn underneath his robes at all times.

Stanste keeps to his Serennian heritage with a small pendant on a silver chain, one of a six-pointed star with a small, unique icon at each tip and and the centre a single sun. The Great Houses of Serenno are not something one easily or willingly leaves behind, after all. This silver pendant is kept hidden for most times, however, in part due to a Jedi’s apparent separation from desires and emotions. Aside from this single connection to his homeland, however, Stanste wears little to nothing.
HISTORY:
Born during the Republic Dark Age to Serennian Nobility upon the namesake world in 1054 BBY, Stanste’s own family were of the extreme viewpoints that they knew best in all things, including their children, the future of those children, and whom those children would marry. In some circles this was considered exceptionally politically savvy of them. In other circles they were backwards as all could be. Nevertheless, from such a young age Stanste was seen by his parents, in person, once following birth before disappearing into the labyrinthine halls of their estate on Serenno and in metaphor as an asset for the Serennian navy. They foresaw that such a connection directly into the military hierarchy would give the family a degree of reputation as well as potential control over military procurement methods. Such a thing would prove profitable in the long run and after a few generations may even prove hereditary in a manner, almost traditional. Despite the war having been ongoing for so long, such a thing had almost become the status quo and his parents were of a certain mind that their son would be placed in the rear echelons of the military. If he was not, they would merely have to pull the right strings to make it so. Such plans, however, were not to be.

Despite being tutored by various former military instructors for a pretty penny, being versed in the methods and manners of court etiquette and customs, and for being trained in the standard methods of swordplay, Stanste would be come across by a Jedi. Taken from his family, Stanste spent most of his early life on Coruscant learning the various ways of the Jedi Order. He was notable for lacking a good deal of interaction with others, rarely speaking, and generally proving more than capable with the training saber. His earlier training had, in many a way, given him a boon though the youngling was nearly incapable of forging relationships. After all, he had been taught to be wary of the other, the outsider, the foreigner, and that Serennian mindset stayed with him. As a Jedi Padawan Stanste would be paired with one Knight Tolgri who was one of the more zealous of the Jedi Order. Tolgri believes that for the dark to succeed, one must do nothing and as such advocated for continuous engagements with the Sith Empire even when the manpower and vehicles were unavailable for larger offensives. In many ways a demolitionist and saboteur, Stanste’s time with Knight Tolgri would largely be behind enemy lines to act against Sith buildups, construction, and other methods. Through this he would largely become numb to the concepts of massed casualties, bombs against unengaged garrison troops, assassination via starship saboteur, and the destruction of shipyard facilities. In many ways, such actions created a temptation for the dark side, though Stanste constantly fought against this urge. He disconnected himself with many of the emotions one generally held, retreating inwardly against such ideals.

As the war dragged on, Knight Tolgri would fail in such a battle, becoming more and more aggressive. He would say that such things were simply due to the pressing needs of the Republic, that they had to destroy more ships, kill more soldiers, disrupt the enemy more and more. His emotions, however, told a different story and when two darksiders came for them in their hideout Tolgri let loose a blood-curdling scream and leapt upon them. Embracing the dark side, the murder was brutally quick and frightened the young Stanste. Seeing his master as such, seeing that he had fallen, the Padawan resolved to settle the matter at a later time, at a far more opportune time, and at a time without his master in a bloody rage. As Tolgri’s emotions clouded his judgement, however, he did not see things in that way and turned upon his Padawan. Issuing his challenge, his saber still lit, the Knight charged his pupil in the belief that if he did not, he would be struck down as well. Filled with terror, Stanste resorted unthinkingly to an explosive burst of the Force, igniting those explosives in the residence. Thrown to his feet, the entirety of the building having gone to splinters and the frame, Stanste found no trace of his master. With the sounds of landspeeders approaching, he would run and hide.

For obvious reasons, the next question came as to whether Stanste should stay and continue as he had done or return to the Jedi Order for a master. If he stayed, the Serennian easily accepted that he may become corrupted by the dark side, while if he left valuable time would be lost in continuing efforts to impede the Sith. Besides that, if he returned there was little physical proof as to how Knight Tolgri died besides that which was in Stanste’s head. Duty would be the determining factor and in that, Stanste would decide to not return until his duties were finished. Continuing to plant explosives, there would in his sole time as a saboteur several instances of single combat. Many a darksider would not fall to simple bombs after all. As a result of this, with some reluctance the Padawan’s skills in lightsaber combat would continue to improve despite his lack of a master and lack of formal training on the matter. Stanste would become suited towards such a thing combining with the powers of the Force, improvising ad-hoc methods of attack with the environment and atmosphere. Exhibiting an exceptional control over the Force and self, he would be able to fight with the lightsaber while continually slowing enemy strikes and movements with the Force, using telekinesis to often disrupt an enemy’s block before beheading them. In some ways this would continue, Stanste being able to claim four personal kills as well as the destruction of two shipyard facilities and several barracks bombings. Three years had passed.

As the war continued, as pressure from Stanste’s own conscience mounted that he should return back to those above, eventually the man would return back to Coruscant to report his actions, progress, and to make an actual request for another master at the very least. In return, a formal board of inquiry was opened about those events surrounding the Padawan’s actions, the death of Knight Tolgri, and potential corruption by the dark side during his independent operations. After a period of confinement and under constant guard, the truth would be revealed. Finding those actions taken to have been done so outside of the chain of command but within the guidelines of the original mission, that the reasons for such actions taken were of good enough spirit, and that the death of Knight Tolgri was regrettably justified, Stanste was awarded with punitive duties with the planetary garrison of Corulag. Duties there were amazingly brief and boring as for all intensive purposes Stanste had been relegated to such things as guard duty. Needless to say he was suitably put-out, directing what energy he had towards practice and perfection. The individual placed in charge of Stanste was one Jesnanc Deahel, a Consular with more interest in the practice of the Force than the blade, the ways of wonder and the knowledge that might come of this. She would teach the impulsive young man far more than any hall or classroom of Coruscant. A natural teacher, she often related things in such a way where they finally made sense to Stanste, metaphors of such things he had once experienced forming the cornerstone of such teachings and methods as the woman took advantage of the martial mechanics in his mind. It would not be uncommon to find the pair in a field, games of focus at play with suitable variants of bolo-ball or something of that sort. However, despite these practices Stanste still took constant pains to ensure he did not dull himself in that time. Lightsaber duels were substituted with such things as training sabers, enabling the full range of potential where such a thing as a staff could not offer the simulation in total, and in this the Serennian found himself at ease. A natural with twin blades, his was not the measure of a back-and-forth conflict which may drag on but of one motion movements, at once disabling the opponents blade while going for the killing blow with his other. Such a thing was already quick and brutal, though eventually Stanste would integrate the components of the Force into his motions and movements to emphasize speed in the first strike, both with closing the distance and in the actual strikes themselves. In addition to this, such measures as Force Pulls and Pushes would become only natural for the man, the acts akin to turning the foe into a puppet. Such practices, while uncommon due to the lack of sparring partners, would garner a degree of attention.

When the Sith finally came against the planet, those Jedi and soldiers stationed with the garrison fought back and yet, due to the weight of the enemy forces, as well as continuous reinforcements from planetary blockade vessels, they had little hope of success in a traditional battle. Both Master Deahel and Padawan Stanste, as well as a battalion of Republic soldiers, would go to ground, forming the nucleus of the insurgency movement. With his knowledge in explosives, Stanste would teach the civilians on the production of IEDs while many of the soldiers acted as trainers for marksmanship and ambush tactics, the factories of the planet enabling an easy access to military grade blasters. What resulted was a bloodbath, a continuous grinder of troops and rebels on both sides for a standard year. While Deahel and Stanste came away physically unharmed, their rearline methods protecting them, the steady stream of wounded, dead, and stories proved more deadly. His master would bear the brunt of this as she insisted on treating those caught in blasts, counter-ambushes, and interrogations. When the Republic forces finally came to Corulag, the original battalion held only twenty members left, the two Jedi included. As a result of this, following a period of leave to recuperate and ensure Stanste was not wholly afflicted by Corulag with therapy and the like, after some deliberation for his actions in a steady year of combat the Padawan was granted the rank of Knight. Despite this, as the war continued, Stanste would be moved not to the Ruusan campaign but instead on one of the vessels nearby to work alongside the medical corps. As such, he was spared from the Seventh Battle.

Following the conclusion of the millenia long war, when the announcement came for the Jedi Lords to lay down their weapons, hang up their armor and titles, when it came that the Jedi Order would be a peacekeeping institution, Stanste would follow the example of his Master and, in most ways, do the same as was commanded under the Reformation. He set aside his armor and began the tasks abundant. Like some few others, Stanste set about with expeditions into former Sith territory, acting as an agent of the new Order in tracking, securing, and transporting Sith artifacts from their places of hiding to Coruscant for study and safekeeping. Almost accidentally, however, the newfound Knight would act as a Public Relations representative almost, aiding in several reeducation programs with former Sith subjects though this was largely in answering questions and helping to set-up Holonet relay stations. For those same efforts, the Knight would in time be awarded the rank of Jedi Master, something he has continued to try to justify his actions as though still a Knight. Stanste has not taken on any Padawan, though he does keep in contact with Master Deahel due to their shared experiences and out of pure respect. Today he is a consummate hunter for Sith artifacts and holocrons, working against those fallen Jedi who have failed in their own tasks, leading towards his volunteering to aid with Master Claudius Antilles in the Mek-Sha investigations.
EQUIPMENT:
    2x Lightsaber, Cyan & Green
    Partial Silversteel Armor (Breastplate)
    Commlink Headset
    Electrobinoculars
    Datapad
    Rebreather
MANNERISM:
    Every Room An Exit
Upon entering a room, Stanste is compelled to instinctively check what entrances and exits are within that room, the potentials for danger and ambush, and other such methods. This is often a walk-through with some checks on things like ventilation hatches for tampering, size, method of opening and ease of such, though more thorough examinations can occur. While Stanste does try to keep this discreet, as after all checking such things is potentially rude and compromising towards any sort of talks, it does happen irregardless.
    Momentum In Action
While seated or paused, such as in a conversation, Stanste has the uncomfortable habit of nearly always being in movement in one way or another. This could be the light tapping of one foot or pacing about the room or, in some situations, walking about the room in a measured pace. The only points where he is not in motion would be due to weariness, such as before sleep, or while attempting to meditation as such movement is understandably not a good thing then.
WORLD VIEW:
Under no circumstances can the fallen Jedi be allowed to spread. It is through the actions of the Jedi and of the Republic which will destroy the ability of the Sith to form as a structure yet again and these actions must be of the most aggressive sort. Through destruction of their leaders, capturer of their artifacts and ancient teachings, and the development of robust supporting relations with civilian agencies and populations the return of the Sith can be halted and hampered. The dark side of the Force is an insidious thing and its influences must be guarded against without pause or hesitation. Through these actions, peace may be achieved. The Jedi Order itself must be armed with capable agents and act with zeal against these forces and forces which seek to destabilize those supporting governments and peoples of both the Republic and other, smaller entities, as well as those forces which seek to learn more of the dark side.
PAIN POINTS:
    Remnants of Corulag
Due to his long experiences, both at Corulag and other locations, Stanste has a significant issue when discussing the war to the point where such attempts to coax information from him may lead to a violent reaction. He views such discussion as morbid at best, cruel at worst. To call him a hero is to call disdain and hatred upon yourself from him. In most regards, Stanste will distance himself outside of work-related environments and experiences from other veterans of that war due to such memories, though a careful few are exceptions to this rule. This includes such people as Master Deahal, who helped him become the Jedi he is now, as well as Master Antilles, who he treated during the Ruusan campaign..
DESIRES:
    Hunt The Shadow
Due to his experiences in the war, as well as his deep-seated beliefs in the role of the new Jedi Order and what it must do in order to prevent another war from occurring, Stanste is a deep believer in a continuous, unrelenting hunt against those of the dark side and who would follow that same path. He desires success in these hunts, as well as to be successful in himself for the execution of such actions.
    Peace In Our Time
While such wishes are nearly impossible to come to pass, the Jedi is fully enthralled with the ideal of not love but instead of simply nothing. He wishes there to be no tears shed, no laughter in the great distance, no pain, no joy, nothing but a blank slate as unresponsive and unstained as plasti. While for obvious reasons this is completely impossible, such a thing is nevertheless a dream beyond reach for Stanste and the rest of the sentient galaxy. To get as close to this as he can, the Master takes the chance to meditate whenever possible, barring such actions which aid him in his hunt such as research, study, practice, and sleep.
FEARS & PHOBIAS:
    The Dark Calls
Due to his first master’s fall, Stanste is exceptionally afraid of falling to the dark side and as such takes continuous, aggressive efforts to combat this, taking part in many a humanitarian mission out of the belief that such things are as Jedi should do. If one were to challenge him, stating that he has gone to the dark side, the reaction may range from simple disbelief to, in some form, anger. In reference to the greater galaxy, Stanste is afraid of the growth of Sith or Sith-aligned factions occuring there, as well as being concerned for Sith artifacts rising to the surface. His actions are largely guided by this fear which stands over all others.

Due to Stanste’s style of combat, of which involves exceptionally fast movement in order to outpace an enemy rapidly and without respite, he can be considered to have mastering movement in its most pure sense. He is able to intercept most strikes, moving either out of range of the blade, out of reach of the strike, or bring his own blades to deadly effect. Such movement, even when unaugmented by the Force, is extremely fast. With the aid of the Force, he becomes nearly a blur with explosive bursts of speed, coming into melee range in moments.
    Breath Control, Novice
A disciple of this practice is little more than name, Stanste lacks the capacity to use this outside of non-combat, controlled environments and even then rarely uses it for tasks other than meditation. With an elevated heart rate, such a task becomes effectively impossible for the Jedi Master. This is due to a result of a lack of interest in the ability and a lack of a need to learn such an ability due to Stanste’s style of preferred combat.
    Combustion, Skilled
Due to the very nature of this Force ability, the fact that it is igniting an object through the sheer brute force of will, Stanste discovered this capacity on accident during the confrontation with Knight Tolgri. Following this, he purposefully acted to train it until such a point that he is capable of igniting an object with the force of a small grenade at ranges of several hundred meters, though the object must be within line of sight.
    Force Barrier, Adept
Developed extensively out of necessity during the Corulag insurrection as a counter towards both enemy blaster fire, ambushes, and the blasts from friendly IEDs in close proximity during a friendly ambush, Stanste is capable with placing a Force Barrier several meters from himself of a reasonable size, around three meters long and three meters tall, though he is far more capable in placing one about himself at a closer proximity.
    Force Healing, Skilled
Due to his actions both out upon his own and on Corulag under the tutelage of Master Deahal, the necessity of those situations has spurned his own abilities in the art of healing. While Stanste lacks a complete and total picture of the bodys internal workings, limiting him to healing exterior wounds only such as cuts, burns, and blaster shot, he is still capable enough in this field to do such things quickly and effectively.

He eventually consulted to the section restricted to Masters only in the Library in order to placate this, poring over more and more Sith Holocrons as time went by. His Master sensed unease in him, and became more and more suspicious until Davin was 21 years old.

Davin had found himself fascinated by what he learned with the Sith Holocrons, but also greatly angered that the prospect of so much power had been concealed from everyone at the Jedi Temple by the High Council.

  • list
DESIRES: He takes great joy in learning the history of the Galaxy through the reading of Holocrons, and at times enjoys discussing it with strangers. He greatly enjoys flying his starfighter. Sometimes, he even seeks out lightsaber combat.
  • list
FEARS & PHOBIAS: He fears that the Jedi will eventually find out who he his and what he has done, and move to execute him. He also has a raging mental conflict and wonders if he made the right decisions in life and fears what consequences may be in store.
  • list

FORCE POWERS: Force lightning, force choke, force jump, force pull/push, limited telekinesis, saber throw, force speed for short bursts.

Ship Name: (Name of ship) the Tartarus
Ship Model: (Model of Ship) Fire Lotus-Class Starfighter
Amenities: None
Armaments: 2x precision laser cannons, 2x missile pods.
Additional Features: Modified with a small internal deflector shield that will hold up to a few shots, modified engines make it faster in combat.
Notes: (information not covered in the above sections) Ship is painted charcoal and black.

First thing that really catches my eye is simple. As a ~17-year-old presumed Padawan, how does he gain access to the Masters only area of archives?

No mention of any stealth ability is mentioned anywhere in his work up. So, then how would he get past both organic, mechanical, and Force based detection?

Oof, never thought about that.

I could edit the backstory to include some other way he obtained a Sith holocron.

NAME: Master Korisra Stanste

Stanste keeps to his Corellian heritage with a small pendant on a silver chain, one of a five-pointed star with a small, unique sphere at each tip and and the centre a single sun. The Five Brothers is not something one easily or willingly leaves behind. This silver pendant is kept hidden for most times, however, in part due to a Jedi’s apparent separation from desires and emotions. Aside from this single connection to his homeland, however, Stanste wears little to nothing.
HISTORY:
Born during the Republic Dark Age to Corellian Nobility upon the namesake world in 1054 BBY, Stanste’s own family were of the extreme viewpoints that they knew best in all things, including their children, the future of those children, and whom those children would marry. In some circles this was considered exceptionally politically savvy of them. In other circles they were backwards as all could be. Nevertheless, from such a young age Stanste was seen by his parents, in person, once following birth before disappearing into the labyrinthine halls of their estate on Corellia and in metaphor as an asset for the Corellian Empire’s navy.

After all, he had been taught to be wary of the other, the outsider, the foreigner, and that Corellian mindset stayed with him.

If he stayed, the Corellian easily accepted that he may become corrupted by the dark side, while if he left valuable time would be lost in continuing efforts to impede the Sith.

Lightsaber duels were substituted with such things as training sabers, enabling the full range of potential where such a thing as a staff could not offer the simulation in total, and in this the Corellian found himself at ease.

FORCE POWERS:
    Art of Movement, Master

This is actually a surprising read, and I've enjoyed it but one aspect nags at my mind- why wasn't he taken in by the Corellian Jedi? Why Corusaunt and does he now due to such serve as a point of conflict between the Green Jedi and those of Corusaunt?
A light in casing is still a light.
Tomorrow is made today.
You can't stop progress, but you can direct it's course.

He wound up finding a Sith Holocron that had been left behind from the War before on one of his many off-planet journeys, and instead of turn it in to the Order, he read and pored over it's contents, learning about what abilities the Dark Side unlocks as time went by.

Edited, how does it look now?

NAME: Lhas Corves
SPECIES: Human
APPEARANCE:

HISTORY: Born 1024 BBY on Corusant in its lower levels, Lhas was born to a poor family that owned a local repair shop. Youngest of the her siblings, she was often picked on by her brothers and sisters, but undoubtedly had the most talent in technology and was helping out her parents by the age of six. For a few years the war would leave their family untouched, until her older brother would enlist with the Republic military in an attempt to get out of the slums of Corusant despite the protest of her parents. But their words falling on deaf ears, her brother went ahead and became a soldier. Every two years following his example more and more of her siblings would sign up, even as the war became more intense near its end, until eventually she would be the only one left at home. Her parents heartbroken from this, it would only worsen when the news of the death came. Overwhelmed with grief, they would be unable to keep their repair shop open by 1007 BBY ironically forcing Lhas to volunteer as a way to support her parents in their time of need. Promising to not be employed in a frontline position, with her knack for mechanical knowledge ensuring her a relatively safe occupation as a Republic Mechanic by 1006 BBY.

Unfortunately, her station was attacked by Sith Forces a year after her deployment and what ensued has been blocked her psyche from the trauma she experienced, bad enough that it locked away the last four years as well. From there on out, she would only remember being transported to a Republic held planet accompanied by Jedi. Lhas would spend the rest of her time there during the war, being made to continue her service as a mechanic for the Republic. Once the war came to a close, hoping to come to a warm reception in Corusant, was instead met with the news that both her parents had passed away with her disappearance and apparent death being the last nail in the coffin. Nowhere to go, she drifted from place to place on the limited amount of credits she managed to hold on to. Thankfully, her luck would turn around when she would run into the former Jedi Reylan Khel, who would give her a place of sleep as long as she stays under his employment as the mechanic and co-pilot of the Old Guard. Ever since, she has enjoyed the older man's company and went along with all the missions he's taken as a mercenary, even getting a droid companion along the way.

EQUIPMENT:
  • Fusion Cutter
  • Mechanic Tool Box (Contains basic tools like wrenches, screwdrivers, flashlight, etc.)
  • Personal Energy Shield Projector

WORLD VIEW:
While believing that the Republic is an ultimate good for the galaxy, Lhas can't help but feel out of place within the new system which has caused her to work outside of it. A hopeful and friendly young woman, is willing to help those that ask for help as long as its within her capability to do so, to keep the hard-fought peace in place. Barring the use of violence, Lhas will do everything in her power to achieve the goal of keeping piece in one way or another.

PAIN POINTS:
  • Talking about her traumatic experience from the war.
  • Remembering all the friends she’s lost from the war.
DESIRES:
  • Getting more items for her tool kit or upgrades for her droid.
  • Reylan finding peace with his inner conflict.
  • To see war-torn planets being rebuilt.
FEARS & PHOBIAS:
  • After her run in with saber wielding Sith that attacked her station, the sight of an ignited Lightsaber leaves her completely immobilized.

I'm mildly disapointed by that alteration due to how much that changed (I was rooting for the Corellian origin) but it's approved.

After discussing the app with the OP, my fellow Co-op, and a number of the other players, enough issues were found with the application that we could see no way forward with this character apart from a complete revamp, so I'm afraid we've come to the decision that we must deny this app.

NAME: Reylan Khel
SPECIES: Human
APPEARANCE:
Image

HISTORY: Birthed on the Outer Rim planet of Dantooine during 1035 BBY, his fate was always going to lead him down the path of a soldier or warrior. Born to what can be considered as middle-class in the plains of Dantooine, Reylan at an early age was exposed to bloody conflict, his parents being active members of their respective village's armed militia. Juskevo and Scamia Khel we're largely tough on their son out of love, expecting him to do the same when he grows up and preparing for that inevitability, which would come sooner than expected. On 1029, the Khel's would be convinced to have Reylan be trained as a Jedi, after retreating Jedi Knight Owepor Tonkyea and Padawan Sydnell Marclaai discovered his force-sensitivity on their quick resupply mission.

Shortly inducted to the Order as a Padawan, he would be thrust into battle shortly after, participating in multiple skirmishes in the planets he, his senior Padawan, and masters found themselves deployed in. By the time the young Khel would turn 13 in 1022 BBY, Marclaai and him would have a relationship akin to siblings, almost inseparable and keeping each other in line. However, only three years later Marclaii would granted the rank of Knight, being sent to a different sector of the Galaxy to help with the effort. With one less person to keep him in check, the young Khel would grow to be far more aggressive, even developing his own hybrid fighting style to reflect this. The now Jedi Master Tonkyea would watch him, making sure that the boy would not go too far.

Seven years would pass, the war not faring any better for the Republic as more planets and lives are lost, Reylan simply continued to keep fighting. His only purpose to fight against the Sith and the dark side, as his aggressive streak grew which extended to the troops that now lead, always in the frontlines charging enemy lines. Getting a reputation as a reckless and an uncaring commander, this would come into fruition when they fell right into an ambush, after extending too far past the front. Surrounded on all sides and the majority of his forces decimated, Reylan was only barely able to hold out, finding his lightsaber skills and aggression to be nearly useless against the opponents he faced and was forced to resort to basics. It was only due to Master Tonkyea rushing in himself, that he would Khel would get out alive, at the cost of Tonkyea being slain while protecting Reylan's forces retreat and learning that his spiritual sister Sydnell had fallen to the dark side in the seven years that they were separated. Master Owepor's death weighing on him heavily, he promised that Marclaai would be brought to justice and in honor (and the experience from the ambush) of his late master, would adopt his chosen lightsaber form of Shii'cho.

Just a year before the establishment of the Army of Light, Reylan would be promoted to the rank of Knight and was ordered to recuperate in preparation of taking over the remains of his late master's unit and the survivors of his own unit. Taking this short respite to sincerely apologize to the soldiers under his command, he did his best to at the very least trust him. In this period in time he would meet Cass Jago, a soldier of the same age as him, the two hitting it off after getting to know one another. After the recuperation period, they would be immediately be deployed to a frontline, with Reylan and Jago's chemistry continuing to grow between each other after every fight. When the Army of Light was assembled, his unit would be there to help when they can and would be directly under the command of Lord Hoth just three years before the end of the war. By the time of Fourth Battle of Ruusan, it was clear that both had romantic feelings for one another but Fhel and Jago made a promise that they would discuss their relationship when the war ended. Sadly, that promise would never be fulfilled. During the battle, Jago would be fatally wounded by a Sith Acolyte in the chaos of an ensuing melee, leaving Reylan truly feeling alone for the first time. Filled with anger and sorrow, he could only bring his focus onto one thing.

Hunting for his former sister, Reylan would eventually find himself facing her in the Sixth Battle. Majority of his unit destroyed from the incessant battles that happened on the planet, he would be forced to hunt for Tonkyea’s first apprentice by himself. During the Fifth Battle of Ruusan, fate would have them encounter one another by happenstance while he was fighting in the frontline, coming upon them during a lull in combat. Firstly trying to convince her to come back the Order with no avail, ending with them promptly entering a lengthy duel that was nothing more than a war of attrition, with Reylan being only able to win by a small margin. Shortly after, Khel would collapse from his injuries and be recovered by members from the Army of Light was sent into Orbit to once again begin recuperating from the wounds that he suffered. By the time of the final battle in Ruusan and the detonation of the Sith Thought Bomb, he would be on his way to a proper medical facility and missing the end of the war. Upon coming to, he would be relieved that the millennia long conflict had come to an end, yet felt uneasy. When the news of the reformations came, he felt that everything he and those that died in the war were for nothing, in particular his late master Owepor, Cass, and Sydnell in the end. That for all the pain that everyone went through, the Republic and the Order had betrayed them for a "sense of peace". Turning in his lightsaber, he would leave the Order and become a mercenary ,feeling that he can only continue on going on doing what he saw as his life, in the Outer Rim. Sometime afterwards during his new lifestyle, he would meet Lhas and a Rodian orphan, taking them in and growing fond of them. Together, they would make do with whatever the Galaxy can throw at them.

EQUIPMENT:
MANNERISM:
  • When meeting new people, will habitually rattle his lightsaber hanging from his belt in an effort to deter them from messing with him or his group. This is stems from his experience of being able to prevent easy fights from occurring, while potentially provoking an "interesting" fight.
WORLD VIEW:
Despite having distanced himself from the Jedi Order, their influence on him still linger, which causes him to instinctively go out of his way to help people from time to time. Examples are a former army mechanic and an orphaned Rodian he’s met along the way, giving them employment and a place to stay. A good person at heart, the pull to more violent and darker means of achieving his goals take their toll on him. In regards to the Republic, Reylan feels that it’s the wrong move after having just won against a formidable adversary to demilitarize in an attempt to feel peace, feeling as if the sacrifice of his comrades would be in vain. With the Jedi falling in line with the Republic’s demands of being a passive organization once more, it only lead him to quit the Order.

PAIN POINTS:
  • Talking about the friends that he lost in the war, in particular a republic soldier he was close to.
DESIRES:
  • Participating in any form of physical conflict, whether it be planned or planned. (Ranges from a simple boxing match to fighting people in a battlefield.)
  • To see his friends and close acquaintances achieve their goals.
FEARS & PHOBIAS:
  • "Is a Galaxy without conflict, one absolute peace truly a good thing at all?" Reylan's greatest fear is waking up to a Galaxy with no conflict whatsoever, with no purpose.
  • "I've never thought of starting a family, is that so strange?" He feels that a family would only contribute to him no longer being able to work as a soldier.
  • "I don't mind hurting people, but hurting people by accident is among the most painful things to experience." Hurting those close to him on accident, in particular Lhas.

FORCE POWERS: Being trained as Jedi Guardian, he excelled in the usage of the force to enhance his abilities to aid in combat (Which composed of three Forms, Shii-Cho being his base form while supplementing Ataru and Niman into his fighting style, with proficiency in Jar'Kai). While at the same time being proficient in the use of the basic telekinetic powers such as Force Push, Force Pull, and Force Grip on targets of his choosing, with some of his more powerful capabilities being Tutaminis (Force Deflection/Absorption) and Force Repulse. However, despite his combat oriented position, mastered the more subtle powers of Jedi Mind Trick and Force Stealth.

Ship Name: Old Guard
Ship Model: Refurbished Dynamic-class Light Freighter
Amenities:
  • Two crew quarters (one of the left and right side of the ship) with three beds each
  • Medical Bay
  • Commons with a large Hologram Projector in the center
  • Cargo Room capable of holding 2 months worth of supplies
  • Swoop Room with a Swoop Bike stored in it.
Armaments: Dual laser cannon turrets (located in the port and starboard of the ship)
Additional Features: Shield system have been modified to output more power and heavier armor plating made for better protection against modern day weaponry.
Notes: Despite the model being several millennia old, it was kept in good condition by a collector who sold it to Reylan for 600,000 credits. And due to the stronger shield and heavier armor, has decreased its overall speed by 10% of the original design.
