In the Hestia Palace the royal residence where all the princes before him have lived and ruled the country, the youngest of rulers, Prince Ulrich Eberhand plots his first move in gaining the International attention he craves for his small country. Another country in the world has recently found a 2,000-carat red diamond worth billions, but, billions that Eberhand does not have to buy such a luxurious item. However, the prince has hatched a perfect plan (in his mind) to show the world his nation and gain the diamond for his homeland. A little show of force would do the trick and so with the entire military at the young leader's hands, a fleet consisting of 3 ships and a submarine has been sent to the country to demand the diamond and retrieve it for Welzat.

Hello everyone to this RP! Now you might be asking why the weird premise and well honestly I would like to switch it up here on International Incidents and get away from the constant civil war threads (nothing wrong with those!). I would also like to be diplomatic and mildly realistic with the "war". My nation consists of only 2.85 million people a far cry from what most players have in their nations as such I don't really see a war (not like I could win a full-scale battle) with this but more of a short conflict or standoff.

I need another player that would like to play reasonably and not instantly destroy my small fleet but instead negotiate the fleet to return home or something else. Your nation will have found the diamond and be the main source of conflict while other nations can RP negotiating the peace or trying to urge a real battle to take place. I am not against fighting with ideas such as maybe a landing at your port or an exchange of gunfire between ships or your coastal fortifications! This is what this thread is for a discussion on the next move. With that out of the way below is my fleet which consists of nearly all of my navy so you can really see what is going to be thrown your way.

Submarine: Type-206 Hydra

That is all that will be sent to your nation and is about every ship in the nation besides some patrol ships and a minesweeper. So it doesn't really stand a chance against a really modern navy but that is what diplomacy is for!

So here is the fun part RULES....

1. Please be active if you are the nation that has the diamonds please post at least once a day. I do not expect this to be a very long conflict but I would defiantly like to finish it to add to my factbook.
2. Destroying the fleet before they even get close is a no or destroying the entire fleet, in general, it is not going to be welcomed. I want the fleet to be a surprise when it comes close to your country. While I am not saying I destroy one of your ports I would like to get close to a port to add tension but we can discuss that in the OOC.
3. Nations wanting to help make a peace or cause more trouble must wait until our two nations have made contact and settled in. After that, it is everyone's game.
4.Godmodding is not allowed.
5. One-liners are not allowed.
6. Let's have some fun! The winter is boring so let us make it fun with this.

Description of area: Once known as the "Pearl of Hostillia," it was considered one of the loveliest Cornellian-built cities in Northeast Acheron. in the 1920s. Pnom Dhek, is domestic tourist destinations for Lodhihapura. Founded in 1372, the city is noted for its historical architecture and attractions. It is on the banks of the great Sikong River, which flows to the sea and is the major source of travel and transport. A great bridge, built by the Cornellians and later improved by the Edomites, spans it. Beyond the city are many small farming and fishing villages. Major industries are fishing and food preservation, trading and cotton cloth production.

What is your response to the conflict? Yohannes is a peaceful isolationist country. I will make one or two short In-Character (IC) posts (maybe a short narrative IC post and then a news post) about the reaction of Yohannes' diplomats (and politicians). News spread fast and Yohannesian politicians like to gossip about things happening outside their country.
How will you accomplish goals? Yohannes is peaceful and it will not interfere with things.
Any resources for goal(be realistic): Yohannes couldn't afford to use much-needed resources to intervene here, Edit: so it will try to not be involved (e.g. will not intervene) and will stay peaceful (I hope that's OK?)

How will you accomplish goals?: bribery, thievery, cunning, and whatever else he has to do
Any resources for goal(be realistic): An older destroyer-escort, refitted with modern engines and equipped with a mini-sub for clandestine operations
Any ideas to add to RP?: Basically, a young privateer is looking for a big score to earn his place in the ranks of Isla de Sparrow's Brethren Court. This would add a non-nation dynamic and extra character, who at one point can steal the diamond and have everyone else chase him to take it back. I don't intend for him to keep it.
