The issue: For centuries, @@NAME@@ has used the reformed-@@ADJECTIVE@@ script for writing stuff down. And therein lays the problem. Nobody else in the world uses it, and it is a hurdle in any communication with foreigners. The issue has been simmering for some time, but the straw that broke the @@ANIMAL@@'s back was the unprecedented delay on the latest MaxxPhone, owing to the need to rejigger the keyboard. The outraged public is demanding a reformed-reformed-@@ADJECTIVE@@ script.
Option: Everyone in the world, or at least everyone worth talking to, already uses Maxtopian alphabet. So why don't we do the same?
Outcome: Parents need new picture books to be taught how to read by their children.
Option: Another script change? But we already had one to accommodate that newfangled printing press. This has to stop! We should go back to the stability of orthodox-@@ADJECTIVE@@ script, and not muck about redesigning letters every other century. If it was goode enough for ye great bard @@RANDOMNAME@@, it will be goode enough for thou.
Outcome: The literacy rate has recently climbed to 100. Persons, not percentages.
Option: Why should we change? Would it not be better to change the world? We should go on a cultural offensive, sponsoring our language and reformed-@@ADJECTIVE@@ script use in other countries. It may not be cheap to teach everyone in the world how to spell @@SLOGAN@@, but it will be worth it.
Outcome: Pretending to know @@ADJECTIVE@@ language is one of the most profitable hobbies worldwide.
Option: We should definitely go on the offensive against the world, but why give even one hard-earned @@CURRENCY@@ to foreigners. If that money were to go to our glorious military, you can be sure that soon the whole world will know the name of @@LEADER@@.
Outcome: "@@ADJECTIVE@@ culture" is a euphemism for unspeakable/unprintable things in almost every world language.
Option: You guys are still using letters to write? Wow, how old-school. If you want to stop playing catch-up and get ahead of the times, I have one advice for you - Pics or gtfo.
