It means someone who had a collection CTEd. I assume the collection would still be visible if you knew the collection number.

I've sort of mentally treated that section as "number of collections that this card has ever been put in" and then you can browse the ones that remain.

Sort of, but it can be misleading. Take, for example, CATS by Feline Masters

https://www.nationstates.net/page=deck/ ... ne_masters or this one, if you're left handed https://www.nationstates.net/page=deck/ ... ction=6613 I believe, unless it's a nation you're currently logged into, collections appear with the nation link attached to them by default, which would mean that navigation to them all is broken unless you delete that part.

Slightly tangent to Al's post, but these links can probably be standardised to always work, and the collection page display collections from CTE nations since it keeps track of them anyway.
