Of course there's no guarantee the delegate is any more informed than the individual voter, but as a crude method - with not really much scope for improvement given the nature of the game - it's fairly effective.

Why should they follow the discussions on this forum? There's not much discussion, just the same old people being shitty to those they disagree with or simply don't like.

There is lots of meaningful discussion here. There are plenty of players here who are willing to teach players and give pointers on proposals. This discussion boards allows the WA to Foster a community of teaching and debate.

It is very important new and even experienced authors post here to proof their drafts and pick up skills.

If this fails, this is yet another example of why we need to crush delegate voting power and let the PEOPLE rule.

Short of pointless effort, that's the best way to reduce delegate voting power.

A secret treaty sans military weapons snatches a ball of yarn from the jaws of a Dalmatian wearing a fire hat. Mrs Mortimer Wellesley comments, 'Awwwwww', and opens a can of wet food.

(OOC: That was a surprising turn given how successfully it was doing at vote previously. I think this does confirm that the spirit of humour still lives within these incredibly dreary halls.)

Hello! I’m a GAer and NS Roleplayer from the United Kingdom.
My pronouns are he/him.
Any posts that I make as GenSec will be clearly marked as such and OOC. Conversely, my IC ambassador in the General Assembly is Ambassador Fortier. I’m always happy to discuss ideas about proposals, particularly if grammar or wording are in issue. I am also Executive Deputy Minister for the WA Ministry of TNP.
Kenmoria is an illiberal yet democratic nation pursuing the goals of communism in a semi-effective fashion. It has a very broad diplomatic presence despite being economically developing, mainly to seek help in recovering from the effect of a recent civil war. Read the factbook here for more information; perhaps, I will eventually finish it.

Didn't someone do a study on this a couple years back and prove that it exists?

If you aren't, then you must just be complaining for the sake of making noise.

While she had no regrets about throwing the lever to douse her husband's mistress in molten gold, Blanche did feel a pang of conscience for the innocent bystanders whose proximity had caused them to suffer gilt by association.
