Bug: disappearance seems broken (People)

Postby Gothic Vandelia » Sun Nov 03, 2019 6:03 pm

I changed my lifespan from 27 to 66 years and I done a lot of things and all my "People" stats changes except "disappearance", it can go up but never down. I discussed it a bit with people in my region and others had the same issue too.
I am stuck on 89.6% and have been so for at least 6 months no matter what I do, I am rather sure it is broken.

Someone might have mentioned this before but my search showed nothing so I thought I should report it. :)

Or maybe that's a logical consequence of running an oppressive dictatorship.

I been both democratic and dictatorship during that time and civil rights and political freedom have moved up and down with zero impact.

GV is a bit over the place, I been socialist and capitalist, but no matter what I do, I never been able to lower the disappearance even 0.1%. Now, if it would just be a very slow change and requiring work (like heart disease), I would not complain but the stat seem broken.

This is most likely your problem: https://www.nationstates.net/nation=got ... ensusid=51

In my experience, disappearance is linked to corruption, and your corruption keeps going up.

Another thing to note is that the chart shows the percentage of deaths from disappearance, so increasing your lifespan won't necessarily have any effect at all on the chart.

Except for the 'old age' cause of death

Thanks, that is helpful. I guess I have to try to get that corruption to go down and if that help.
