So what goes where?
- Things that go here:
- Spam (including adspam),
- grave digs,
- DOS players posting on the forums,
- threads that need to be moved to different forums,
- insufficient OPs,
- request by OP to have posts removed (RP threads that have ownership only),
- broken threads,
- archive requests,
- homework help threads,
- people posting in places they shouldn't (for example, random posts in Passed WA proposal threads).
- Things that have dedicated separate megathreads: signature related reports.
- Things that should be posted in their own threads: Anything that requires serious human judgment calls like flamebaiting, flaming, trolling, harassment, threats, etc. Also appeals even if it's of actions in this thread.
- Things that don't go anywhere on this forum: Game side behavior, even spam, should be reported via GHR, spamming moderation does not need to be reported at all.
How should I make a report?
Generally, all that is required is a direct link to the post and a very short explanation of the problem (1-3 words is generally sufficient). You can get a direct link by clicking on the gray dog-eared piece of paper on the top left of a post directly adjacent to the "by Examplestan" text. Please don't quote posts, especially spam. For RP post removal, please identify yourself as the OP of a roleplay thread who wants a post remove. For broken threads, if it's your post that broke the thread please fix it yourself (see here for more info on broken threads and fixing them). For archive requests, please identify why you think the thread should be archived. For DOS behavior please don't identify the DOS you think it is.
Please make sure that what you're reporting hasn't been previously reported (often the post before you!) duplicate reports add more moderation work and aren't helpful.
This thread is for reports and moderators responding to reports only. If you'd like to appeal a lock, please do so in a dedicated thread. Commentary, discussion, and chatter will likely get you *** warned for spamming moderation ***
