Pre-Olympic Ski Jumping Three Hill Classic

Postby Kriegiersien » Wed Oct 09, 2019 3:14 am

Again a on short term organized competition before the start of the Olympics.
Image

All Olympic Ski Jumpers (and if they wish even the ones who will miss it) are invited to take part in the Pre-Olympic Ski jumping Three Hill Classic, a series of 3 Jumps at 3 different places in Kriegiersien.

3 venues have been sorted out:

A standard ski jump hill in New Scorpion City (normal hill).
Image

A dangerous, giant hill in cold, stormy Winter City (large hill).
Image

And an artificial piled up small one in the snow free capital Schoenwetter (normal hill).
Image

If you have an athlete starting at the next Winter Olympics, your athlete will be registered with his skill you stated there. You can field up to 4 athletes.
Example for the Kriegiersien team at the 3 Hill Classic:

Jean-Francois Arzel;KGS;25
Hanz Lummerjager Junior;KGS;98
Faraz Leigh;KGS;33
Albie Gaines;KGS;33

The athlete with the most points after the three jumps wins.

How do I participate?

Just state the name of your athlete and Nations abbreviation here, as seen above.
If your athlete takes part at the Olympics, he will get the skill you stated at the sign-up for the Olympics, else his skill will be counted as 0.

The scorination will be done with xkoranate.

As example the results from the normal hill at the Kriegiersien championships.

1 Hanz Lummerjager Junior 125.5
2 L. Loser 109.7
3 Faraz Leigh 105.8
4 Jean-Francois Arzel 90.5

Despite his result L. Loser wasn’t nominated for the Olympics or the Three Hill Classic, because of his prior shown zero skills. Bad luck.

Roleplaying:
You are encouraged to Role Play and write some nifty text, maybe to take it over as inspiration for the Olympics or future competitions. But it won’t give you a bonus for the competition.

The deadline for all entries ist the 12th October.
The 13th will have the ski jump in New Scorpion City.
The 14th will continue with the ski jump in Winter City.
The 15th will end with the ski jump in Schoenwetter.

There will be only one jump per hill.

After that the winners get their prizes and anyone can immediately part to the Olympics. Schoenwetter has a large airport (in difference to secluded Winter and Scorpion City, but there are buses).

We have know the first guests from outside of Kriegiersien at the Three Hill Classic, welcome Peoples of the Republic of Xabia. We hope for more Olympians arriving. Meantwhile, let's have a first, short look at the venues.

First stop will be New Scorpion City, a snowy, but easy to reach little town in the midnorthwest, as long as your car has good snow tires.

Image

The hotels and hostels are known for their clean rooms that don't distract.

Image

Lodging and transport have to be paid by the participants themselves, but there is no entrance fee for the competition.

And for the winner of the ski jump event in New Scorpion City a trophy awaits.

Three Hill Classic - New Scorpion City

    1 Yoshirou Iwakura (PRX) 132.0
2 Hanz Lummerjager Junior (KGS) 131.0
    3 Jean-Francois Arzel (KGS) 121.0
    4 Kai Ayanami (PRX) 116.5
    5 Mitsugi Fujikawa (PRX) 112.0
    6 Ken Hoshi (PRX) 108.0
    7 Faraz Leigh (KGS) 106.0
    8 Albie Gaines (KGS) 104.0

The first winner of the series ist Yoshirou Iwakura who will go as leader into the further competition, followed closely by Hanz Lummerjager jr.

The next stop is Winter City, an upland region. The jump from this skijumpmountain will show how fearless the athletes are. Only the best survive.

For the winner a further trophy in Silver awaits.

Three Hill Classic Winter City

1 Hanz Lummerjager Junior (KGS) 141.4
2 Yoshirou Iwakura (PRX) 122.7
3 Kai Ayanami (PRX) 114.2
4 Albie Gaines (KGS) 105.3
5 Ken Hoshi (PRX) 102.7
6 Mitsugi Fujikawa (PRX) 93.8
7 Faraz Leigh (KGS) 82.2
8 Jean-Francois Arzel (KGS) 78.6

Hanz Lummerjager jr. was able to win these test of courage, making him leader in the overall ranking in front of Yoshirou Iwakuara. The last jump will bring the final result.

We are reaching Schoenwetter, the massive capital and moloch with its million of inhabitants. Civilization.

Outside of these sticky, hot city we can find a ski jump hill, an artificial build possibility to train without snow. Here the winner will be found. The trophy for this run is a rather unoriginal Cup, but more importantly, the winner of the whole series will be crowned, too.
