It is, actually, I've just been so swamped in work (December is busy for my industry). Are you seeking to play a villainous faction, a heroic one, something in between, someone passong through, or another thing entirely?

It starts with a quarantine.

Several whole star systems numbering in the hundreds are immediately quarantined on the edge of the Milky Way due to the presence of strange, omnivoracious organisms, that resemble of grey goo. Attempts to contain them using pico-level and femto-level bots have ended in vain, with more of the microscopic bots eaten up by the organisms than the bots could contain. These star-systems have been quarantined by combat vessels forming a massive Dyson sphere encompassing these star systems, shielded with spatio-temporal systems to contain the spread of the mysterious organisms. Research has been started by Logic Engines, Biases as well as neohumans and other constituent races within and outside the quarantined star systems. As seconds pass in realspace, something sinister lurks within these "liquid" organisms....

I'm thinking that the "grey goo" will be related to the invading forces in the thread. I actually assumed that the omnivoracious races in "The Liquid Power" were a form of all consuming nanotech swarm, but from reading the IC thread they seem otherwise. But of course we can assume that the "grey goo" comes from that race as a sort of an extremely powerful weapon, while not an out of context problem, is still threatening enough. The initial focus of my nation would be the study of the weapon, and determine whether it came from a foreign source and finding that source.

The red liquid, which the title "Liquid Power" refers to is an energy source that sustains all life over there, as the planet is a rogue planet and couldn't have supported life anyways. Over time, that source gets depleted and the inhabitants need to find another planet to "plant" that red liquid so they could survive. All other life there is either killed eventually from the changes to their planet, adjusts and eventually joins the hivemind of the invaders

Now, as for the invaders, they're biomechanical versions of their older selves. For sentient ones, they have a bit of their former personalities intact, but their primary objective is still serving the hivemind.

Think of it this way: if the Dark Messiahs offer you survival and a place in the new multiverse they're going to shape, would your people accept? Their objective is invading the prime multiverse so that they'll get to live in more stable worlds that would last much longer than the universes in the Shadow Multiverse.
