Feel free! Got any idea for early on? I'm thinking that one of your agents gets into contact with a prominent leader of the Sons and we go from there.

That would be good. I'd imagine these agents would come from the Brulafi embassy. (I assume our two countries have mutual embassies, correct?)

I think that they'll initially be a peaceful movement until either some action by the Royalists or interference by your agent pushes them into extremism.

This might create a problem for my government, as the Green Party is an important part of the government coalition, and is fiercely antiwar. Also, I have a couple of ideas for the plot:
Multinational corporations attempt to prop up the monarchy, due to the regime being an important trade partner, and hiremercenariesprivate security companies to fight for the royalists.
Mokov has vast amounts of resources (oil, gold, lumber, etc.) and the civil war severely disrupts the global economy.

In the background, Scantarbia will arm those who wish to overthrow the monarchy in return of post-war construction contracts awarded to Scantarbian companies.
A little suggestion, you should put link to the IC on the OOC and vice-versa.

Like they haven’t been sure about the Sons but maybe a family member or friend is wounded at the protest (even dies of wounds in the near future?) and it pushes the character to support the Sons?
