Because global warming is definitely a threat. A 2° rise in global temperature is enough to change the sea level

Celcius being used as the international norm for temperatures in problematic in my view. It causes people to not take the problem as seriously than if Fahrenheit was used. Fahrenheit is a measurement standard that is more in line with what humans perceive as correct in terms of temperature.

A 2 degree celcius doesn't sound as menacing as a 3.6 fahrenheit rise in temperatures. More over, weather forecasts perhaps should be using heat index for everything instead of temperatures. Because after all, what matters is how it feels outside in relation to our ability to sweat.

No they don’t. Temps are supposed to rise by at least 2° in 100 years possibly 4°
