Welcome to the General Assembly!

Unfortunately your proposal is illegal in its current form, so I would advise you to check the GA proposal rules as well as Passed Resolutions to give yourself a better understanding of how General Assembly Resolutions are written.

Also, your idea has been covered quite extensively in GA Resolution #291, so if you want to continue with this idea, I suggest you read over this to make sure there is no duplication or contradiction.

Good luck!

OOC: In addition to what was already said, this proposal seems to be riddled with buzzworks that don't actually do anything, which is the exact problem in Real Life. In Nationstates World Assembly that won't fly and you need actual factual actions to mandate on the member nations.

Apologies for absences, non-COVID health issues leave me with very little energy at times.

"My country comprises of a series of islands and therefore it has no forests. If I were to plant a few trees to legally define it as a forest, does that count as mission success?"

OOC: As what the other ambassadors have stated, you need to work more on the flesh of your resolution and pick another topic to work on. Having a short resolution similar to that of GAR #291 isn't going to get it approved even by GenSec, so try to read up on passed GA resolutions and work on them. Not to worry though, you can always try again if you have taken a consistent effort in polishing and ensuring that the standards comply with the General Assembly! :)

But "Congratulations!" for having the sense to post your idea here first, instead of just submitting it straight away: far too many new would-be-authors don't do this, and almost all of their efforts also include serious problems...

(includes The Ursine NorthLands) Demonym = Bear[s]; adjective = ‘Urrsish’.
Population = just under 20 million. Economy = only Thriving. Average Life expectancy = c.60 years. If the nation is classified as 'Anarchy' there still is a [strictly limited] national government... and those aren't "biker gangs", they're traditional cross-Clan 'Warrior Societies', generally respected rather than feared.

What does forest sustainability even mean? Do we not chop down trees? How do I get materials for housing? Do we enact replanting requirements for industrial logging? What about tree farming? Do we have to ban Christmas tree farming? Bonsais? Many nations have logging as a major contribution of their economies and still rate high on environmental surveys of nations.
