To everybody in NationStates,

Many may know me as Conquerus or Tyrantium, but those who do know me likely have a memory of me consisting of terrible messages and bullying. For the past 1 and a half years I've played this game, I've belittled and bullied my way through the wider NS community.

Several months ago, I was banned from the region of Hartfelden after I was uncovered creating fake discord accounts and spreading virulent trans phobic comments. My comments were a detriment to the well-being of this community, not to mention that Hartfelden is home to members of the LGBT community. I was short-sighted and angry, something that I now regret. I've caused great offence and have ruined many people's days. I come here to say sorry for everything I've done. I was confused about my own identity, causing me to take it out on the wider LGBT community. That was uncalled for and unforgivable and I have now come to terms with my own identity, embracing myself as part of the LGBT community instead of shunning it like a disease. I am sorry to Kendra for bullying her in Hartfelden. I am sorry to Scott for breaking his trust in me. I am sorry to everybody I have hurt and offended, and I have come to the decision that this game is better off without my interference. I am sorry everybody, I will never do what I did again.

I'm gay, was abandoned by my parents as soon as I turned 18 (seriously called this a "Young kid", I'm getting old) and the legal duty was no longer required of them. Best friend is trans, I linked this and they say they forgive you completely. I forgive you completely. Never decide something is "Unforgivable", do not let others define you that way friend. What really matters is what's inside your heart and mind, not what others say or feel about you.

Let this be the biggest lesson you learn from this whole affair: Do not hate yourself. Hatred for yourself only causes you to harm others, no matter who you are. It happened to me too. Most importantly ... When you see this happening to someone else and they apologize genuinely? ACCEPT THEM TOO and defend them from malicious people who can't accept it.

Please do me a favor and don't hate yourself for this, and don't give up on NS.

I commend a person willing to take personal responsibility and apologize--particularly to the public. I can't say I understand the self hate and how it causes anyone to lash out (as I never had this issue in the many years I understood my gayness,) but the point seems moot now. I'm happy to see people forgive you for your past. The next step is to move forward.

Having said that, withdrawing from the game the game temporarily is not a bad idea as it'll allow you to readjust your mindset and allow some time for those that need it to maybe come back to you. Leaving permanently isn't a solution, but an escape from facing the people you harmed in the past.

The past can't be undone, you've admitted your mistakes. Move on now.

No, the world needs people to be compassionate and give a heck about the people around them. The world never 'needs' bullies. And he has plenty to apologize for. I don't know if this was just a PR move or sincere, and I'm going to take it as sincere and hope that he's telling the truth. But forgiveness comes with change from the other person, and it's going to take actual moves from him to change and be a better person before anything can get better. He threatened one of my communities with people I care about, belittled them and made them feel less than. Apologizing is the first step, but it in no way resolves what you did.

Conq did some horrible things to the people to the community currently in Galactic Wars so I'm here trying to undo those wrongs and be the leader they always wanted. I also gave myself the personal challenge of trying to fix his name, which I accept was a shit thing to do since he doesn't deserve it. This all sounds ridiculous and unbelievable but it's what happened. I'm a dipshit and Conq is a jerk.

Tbh, the reason this is bullshit is because there is absolutely no reason whatsoever for you to continue to keep your 'friends' nation. Just make a new nation and start off fresh if you're actually a new player. Like there is literally no excuse good enough to justify taking a soiled nation from your 'friend' and try to 'fix it'.
