The Left-Wing Discussion Thread
Vol. VIII: Posadist Makeover!
Image
I'm escaping to the one place that hasn't been corrupted by capitalism: SPACE!*
Don't be a dick to LGBT+ people, in keeping with the previous owner's efforts to keep this thread safe for them.

I've stolen this thread OP from Torrocca, who was surprisingly polite about me stealing this thread-making opportunity from Kowani.

Suggestions for improvements, changes, or additions to the poll and opening post are very welcome.

The previous iteration of the LWDT can be found here.

Relevant subjects for discussion include:

  • Bread, bread, bread, and bread! Thanks Bread Santa!
  • How Capitalism oppresses the working class laborers of society.
  • Why the concept of billionaires is a horrible concept for any society, ever.

I reckon the poll should be this;

Bernie or Rosa? That simple.
Pro: Liberty, Liberalism, Capitalism, Secularism, Equal opportunity, Direct Democracy, Windows Chauvinism, Psychedelic Rock, LGBT+ Rights, Live and let live tbh.
Against: Authoritarianism, Traditionalism, Non-Market-Socialism, Laissez-Faire Capitalism, Autocracy, (A)Theocracy, Macs, "The ends justify the means," Collectivism in all its forms.
Economic: 0.5
Social: -8
I'm an 18 year old Australian who tries to think about things but fails, as we all do. I'll regret this in 2 years tops.

I think I have gender dysphoria so I'd prefer you use she/her pronouns on me. If not, he/him'll do.

I go by Torra and feminine pronouns! They/Them/Their are perfectly acceptable alternatives as well :3

I'm an 18 year old Australian who tries to think about things but fails, as we all do. I'll regret this in 2 years tops.

I think I have gender dysphoria so I'd prefer you use she/her pronouns on me. If not, he/him'll do.

Why?

They're not controlling politics, they're simply spending their money as they please, as private citizens are allowed to do.

I don't think that represents your views, but the reason why I disagree with that as there is an elaborate system of perks given when politicians sell out and it effectively results in politicians serving the interests of a small amount of megadoners, and it results in corrupt policies being implemented, like wall street bailouts, and that can negatively effect everyone else.
