Men who dye their hair

So I wanted to take a break from politics to discuss an issue more close to home and maybe less controversial (idk, this might actually start a fight) by talking about the subject of men who dye their hair. I myself have naturally dark brown hair, and often alternate between my natural hair color and dying my hair midnight black. I first dyed my hair at age 12 when I used hydrogen peroxide to go blonde for a few months, and first dyed my hair black at age 14. My hair is currently dark brown and has been since like January of this year, but in the next few days I'm going back to black once again.

While many men dye their hair not only blonde or black, but many other colors as well, it seems our culture only provides men with hair coloring products in the case of older gentlemen who are trying to hold back the grey. For younger men looking to actually change their hair color and not just add some highlights, we often have to go to the women's hair section and snatch up some Revlon (at least in my area it's that way. I have yet to see any dye products for men beyond the touch of grey shit being sold in any stores). So here's what I wanna know everybody. Do you agree or disagree with men changing their hair coloring? Do you engage in the practice? Do you think it's time for corporations to market hair color products akin to Revlon to men of all ages? And does it make sense for a man with dark brown hair to dye his hair black when it's already only a few shades from that anyways? Let me know your thoughts below

That's what I meant by the only men hair dye products being a touch of grey. It's just to hide grey hair as opposed to bring for general styling like women's hair color products

I think it’s sort of weird, but I don’t really have any right to judge people about it and it’s not like I’m going to actively try to stop you from dying your hair. If a man chooses to dye his hair, that’s fine with me, although I might think it’s a bit weird.

It's the ones with colors like the pink or orange of which I was thinking. Unless the dye was applied badly or is unconvincing, I probably wouldn't be able to tell if someone's natural hair color really is natural or is dyed.

I'm ambivalent about the ability for people to change their hair color. You can do or spend your money and time how you want on your hair products. I do personally find it an odd thing to do, which is probably why I don't dye it myself; I think its unnecessary. I think if the market is there, then the products will appear. From the way the OP couched the question, you would think that there are almost no men hair dye products. Maybe Rojava meant there should be more? As some of these things go (like women's razors), I don't think there needs to be activism on the front.

And as far as the last question goes, I think its up to the person to decide whether its worth the dye. I probably wouldn't think it is.

Most employers don't seem to care as long as the hair colors are "natural". Girl I work with had her dreads dyed bright blonde, they forced her to dye it back to a natural color.

There's men coloring products but they're mainly touch ups for guys who are starting to go grey. It isn't the same as like the stuff the ladies get.

At least here in Detroit it isnt. Maybe Europe or canada is different

I'm fine with it as long as it looks like it can pass off as a natural hair color, or I know the person well enough. I remember a friend of mine from while ago trying to bleach his dirty blond hair. He didn't get the desired effect and instead his hair went dirty blond, to an array of colors ranging from bleached to a pale sickly green. Not sure what he thought of that, really need to get back in touch with him.
