Something is rotten in the state of Denmark

Postby Fartsniffage » Sat Aug 10, 2019 5:15 am

An explosion has hit a police station in the Danish capital, Copenhagen, the second blast to hit the city this week.

The building was damaged but no-one was injured in the incident early on Saturday, which took place just outside the city centre.

On Tuesday, there was a powerful explosion outside the national tax agency, in what the authorities say was a deliberate attack.

It is unclear if the two incidents are linked.

Police say they are looking for a man who was seen fleeing the scene of the police station blast, who was wearing dark clothing and white shoes.

2 bombings in the space of a week would make me think they're linked. But what do I know?

I'm honestly surprised about this. Denmark is usually such a chill country.

Anyone here from Denmark that can shed a bit more light on what is going on over there?

Terror affects almost every country on Earth now, as there is always someone pissed off about the way that others live their lives and can't deal with it like a normal person.

Nothing to really say about this incident regarding motive or responsibility, the authorities are currently investigating it. Anything else is speculation, reckless speculation if targeted towards certain groups without evidence.

I suspect it was islamists although we don't know yet

Even if it was, that still doesn't justify violence against random Muslims mind you

What’s the deal with the rising cases of terrorism? People are just so inconsiderate and ‘explosive’ sometimes.

I’m just glad there are no reports of anyone killed, though one person was injured.

It’s not Islamists. Islamists tend to want mass death counts. This is most likely the work of anarchist groups

#1 it's rising again compared to like 1991

#2 I don't remember Europe suffering an epidemic of Islamist attacks in 1969. America had everything from the SLA, to the black panthers to the weathermen to Puerto Rican nationalists and the UK had the UDA and IRA, but France or Germany were definitely not dealing with their current issue back then

Didn't Germany have the Red Army Faction during the 1970's?
Yeah: Most of capitalism, some of socialism, egalitarianism, equality
Meh: Brexit, the EU, the UN
Nah: Some of capitalism, most of socialism, discrimination, justifying discrimination, authoritarianism

Well East Germany was communist, so I'm sure they would have communists within it

Overall a place like france wasn't suffering stuff like the Charlie hebdo rampage, the nice truck of terror or the Bataclan executions during the 60s

I wasnt aware you'd consider Antifa to be a terrorist franchise.

Not even I do that. Despite they set a major european city ablaze in 2017.

I will comment when more information comes out. My guess is that this is an Islamic terror attack.

I could be wrong, but I don’t think Trump has a giant following in Denmark.

I do not believe it was the preperators intentions. They have possibly a beef with the police and tax office. It could be local political or even criminal groups. Or someone who got too many speeding tickets and a grudge as his car was taken away.

The attack does not fits into the usual islamist patterns.
