Overview

After Kinslavia’s leader went missing for two months, a General led a secret invasion into the Sokoliasian region with the Kinslavian colony of Liberated Sokolias,the Daniunian-Slavic colony of East (New) Sokolias, and the autonomous nation of Western Sokolias. Western Sokolias duly retaliated with encouraging anti-capitalist, anti-Kinslavian, and anti-colonial rhetoric further fueling the resentment felt by a sizable portion of the populace until a civil conflict serving as a proxy war between Kinslavia and Weatern Sokolias has brewed.

[New Sokolias]

East Sokoliasian and Danubian-Slavic soldiers garrison the borders of East Sokolias against Kinslavian lands, and restrict troop access to their lands for Kinslavian troops. High tariffs are put on Kinslavian goods, and Danubia-Slavia once again reaches out to the Kinslavian government requesting to speak with their ambassador or the tariffs and closed border policy will stay.

General Talius, with the consent of the Chancellor, authorizes the mobilization of defensive measures at the Western Sokolias border in case of invasion. Barb wired fences are erected and border patrol is given carte blanche to put a stop to any suspicious activity.

Meanwhile in Liberated Sokolias: A new podcast called Late Stage Imperialism airs on the platform known as WhoTube. The host Fabian Knightly begins with an opening monologue.

"People of Liberated Sokolias, we have been resisting for what seems like forever now, but we must stay strong. We must fight against the ruling class and we must fight for our freedom from colonialism, which is capitalism's ugly cousin. Kinslavian oppression has met its match. Workers of the world unite! We have nothing to lose but our chains!

Kinslavia agrees to a meeting with East Sokolias to help them understand the situation and explain themselves. Former Kinslavian General Helex Madis used the opportunity of having no command to exercise his hatred for the Sokolian people. Helex Madis and his Secracai of Kinslavia's 107th Army Division have been arrested and put into Kinslavian custody and are to be executed for the crimes of breaking international borders, using enhanced interrogation techniques, and murder. Helex Madis' hatred of the Sokolian people stems from The Friendship Alliance-Phoenix Syndicate war. We request that you remove these high tariffs, but we respect your decision for increasing your border control. We ask that you will help us in rebuilding our great relationship, and understand why these things have happened.

Knowing what Western Sokolias has been doing in it's State of Liberated Sokolias, Kinslavia requests to have a meeting with it's ambassadors to explain itself, and hopefully keep peace.

With Sokolian natives constantly attacking police officers on the streets of Liberated Sokolias and the assassination of Governor Yate Gok , Kinslavia sends its 97th division, comprised of 12,345 troops, to Liberated Sokolias, to search for the rebellion hiding in the state, in the hopes of stopping the bloodshed of its citizens. The 97th has strict orders not to shoot unless provoked, and to extract Opha Ila (The leader of the Rebellion) alive.

East Sokolias and Danubia-Slavia agree to lower tariffs, but only if the bodies of the innocent are returned and their families are repaid for the loss. The borders will not be completely closed, but will be heavily monitored and secure. From now on, Kinslavia must request the East Sokolias government permission to move through their land, and must stem clear from de-militarized zones placed by the Treaty of Vienna.

The East Sokolias government also sends a message to stay out of Western Sokolisian affairs, and to work out issues with them diplomatically.

"So, I take it you're going to suggest that Western Sokolias look past this egregious violation of our sovereignty in the name of regional peace, is that it?" Hitchkens slams his hand on the table. "What do you take us for? You Kinslavians have done nothing but bring shame to the Sokoliasian name and we cannot forgive that. You have soiled our land with your imperialistic conquest for more profit to line your oligarchic pockets with and your military's blatant xenophobia is on display. And what? You're going to suggest, oh, don't worry -- it was just a few bad eggs. Well blimey! If that's all then why don't we invite each other over to a slumber party and braid each other's hair, huh? There can be no decent folk whilst the people you refer to in question uphold an archaic and regressive system. Now, you're probably going to suggest it's just a matter of politics. And, I presume you're correct in that assertion. But these political differences hold material consequences. We despise the Old Regime as much as anyone else. But, we are not them. Kinslavia crossed the line, so Kinslavia must pay for its mistakes. You will lose Liberated Sokolias and it will be an international embarrassment for your government. And all the while, we in Western Sokolias will laugh at you capitalist pigs." And with that, he takes his seat.

East Sokolias happily takes back the bodies and returns them to their families. More military is brought in by Danubia-Slavia and the protectorates. Fleets move away from the borders of Kinslavian waters and guard their own ports.

A speech is held by Marilyn Sierra, Chairman of East Sokolias:

"I stand here today appalled by what has happened, by the plain bigotry brought to our nation by the hands of an insane rogue given too much power. We must make sure our nation be kept forever safe from more of these incursions, our borders will be held secure and our people will be protected"

She is met with applause and cheers from the crowd as a military parade is held shortly afterwards in the streets ,show casing the arsenal of the United Empire

Terrorists are defined by their desire to strike fear in the hearts of vulnerable communities. What you have here is quite the opposite. Yes, tragedies have occurred but the violence is not an ends in itself but merely the byproduct of suppressed tension bubbling up to the surface. The individuals you call "enemies of the people" are acting out because they have been silenced for far too long. Violence is the language of those who are not granted a voice. We have seen this demonstrated many times throughout history. Western Sokolias will do as we please. You continue to tell us that The Secret Invasion was wrong, which it was, then turn around and do the same to us. Also, these Terrorists, yes, I will continue to call those who use violence as a voice terrorists, have been given the freedoms given to every Kinslavian. They were given citizenship and all the rights awards to that status. They were not oppressed, they were considered our equals, but once you commit a crime, rights are stripped from you, and they murdered our Governor and several others. You can continue to hide behind what you call "an eye for an eye", but I see through you. All of this is about getting more power. If you wanted to see power, all you had to do was ask, we will show you. Now if you will excuse me, i must return to Liberated Sokolias and explain the situation to them, so that they may end this rebellion and return Liberated Sokolias to glory. Amassador Hitchkens chortled. "Wow, incredible. Every word that just came out of your mouth was absolute rubbish. That 'deranged' madman was a general, a high ranking member of the military's hierarchy. That carries weight. He was not an independent actor. He had accomplices. And yes, they are being punished according to your criminal justice system. But again, if these ideas he promoted were so fringe he would've never been able to carry these acts out on such a magnitude, even with a weakened federal government. Your state governments supplemented the federal government during this time, so it shows a level of incompetence in their cooperation that they were not able to uncover this "Secret Invasion" when if anyone -- they would be privy to the information considering being the State, they hold a monopoly on such claims to knowledge of what is occurring. Also, one could argue that the police force uses violence -- when 'necessary' -- to supplement their voice. They act on behalf of the state to ensure all follow the ordinances put in place by the government under threat of imprisonment or death. Or are you implying that the police force is a band of terrorists? I'm sure you can find instances where they are not behaving quite so honorably. And, yes, capitalism is an inherently oppressive system -- though you'll go to your grave attesting otherwise -- and regardless of what privileges you extended to the colony, at the end of the day, they are just that. A colony, at your mercy, should they act in a way contrary to the pervasive orthodoxy."

On a crisp morning in East Sokolias, guards lined guard towers at the border between East Sokolias and Liberated Sokolias. A large ruckus was heard at the East wing. Radical terrorists from Liberated Sokolias were trying to break through into East Sokolias to start a revolution there. Several soldiers fire upon the small invading force, killing fifty three and capturing twenty. Thirty five assailants escaped back into Liberated Sokolias to go back into hiding.

The government of East Sokolias sends a strong worded letter to the government of Kinslavia, addressing them that they must better keep these terrorists away from the border or East Sokoliasian troops will move into Liberated Sokolias to handle them themselves, with or without permission from the Kinslavian government.

[New Domica]

New Domican fighter jets are seen flying overhead Liberated Sokolias. When a Kinslavian military squad is dispatched to suss out what they are doing there, the Kinslavian military personnel go missing and no one knows what's happened to them.
Later in the day, weapons and armor are covertly supplied to the rebellion in Liberated Sokolias.

The main Danubian-Slavic force arrives in East Sokolias and helps enforce the borders. Soldiers are put on the border of West Sokolias, in fear that rebels could flood in from there as well.

Danubia-Slavia and East Sokolias make deals with a few rebel groups, agreeing to sell them supplies as long as they keep the conflict out of East Sokolias. Danubia-Slavia and East Sokolias do the same with Kinslavian forces, selling them supplies in exchange to secure their borders better.

The Clash at Bakersfield

Meanwhile in Bakersfield, Liberated Sokolias, a crowd clashes with Kinslavian military officers after the officers order them to clear the area under threat of detainment. When the crowd refuses, an officer shoves an adolescent boy and the tension builds into a skirmish, capitalized on by a molotov cocktail thrown into the mix. "You think these people will protect you? They despise native Sokoliasians. They're just too prideful to admit it. When all's said and done, all they will ever see us as is an inferior ethnic minority polluting their colony. We're just human resources to their capitalist pursuits. This rebellion is our one shot at making this right. Who's with me?" A young man in the crowd yells as the crowd is motivated to rush the officers, resulting in the exchange of blows with Kinslavian officers brutally beating the insurrectionists.

"Greetings Chancellor, it is a pleasure to meet you. We both realize that our two nations are not at the best relations, I am here to fix that. We may both have different ideologies, but we are both Sokolisian yes? And Sokolisians look out for each other. I am willing to offer you a generous military open borders policy, allowing you to move troops through Easy Sokolias, we are already shipping weapons to your rebels in Liberated Sokolias, we are willing to offer you reparations in damages from the war to rebuild your infrastructure, and are offering a joint defense pact, offering your nation's ability to call upon our entire military in need of defense when needed. All we ask in return is that you help ensure your rebellions do not rise up in East Sokolias, and for you to be wary against more radical rebels, such as the ones who killed innocent civilians in Liberated Sokolias. We realize these things happen, but it's best for all parties if civilian bloodshed is reduced as low as possible. If you're willing to go through all this, we may even throw in free training of the rebels in Liberated Sokolias on our behalf. What do you say friend?"

The Chancellor agrees to the summit but asserts that it must be held in Western Sokolias. "So, Chairman Sierra, we've been waiting a long time for us to meet, yes? Now, what is it specifically you'd like to discuss with this 'partnership'?"

"Greetings Chancellor, it is a pleasure to meet you. We both realize that our two nations are not at the best relations, I am here to fix that. We may both have different ideologies, but we are both Sokolisian yes? And Sokolisians look out for each other. I am willing to offer you a generous military open borders policy, allowing you to move troops through Easy Sokolias, we are already shipping weapons to your rebels in Liberated Sokolias, we are willing to offer you reparations in damages from the war to rebuild your infrastructure, and are offering a joint defense pact, offering your nation's ability to call upon our entire military in need of defense when needed. All we ask in return is that you help ensure your rebellions do not rise up in East Sokolias, and for you to be wary against more radical rebels, such as the ones who killed innocent civilians in Liberated Sokolias. We realize these things happen, but it's best for all parties if civilian bloodshed is reduced as low as possible. All we ask in return is that you help ensure your rebellions do not rise up in East Sokolias, and for you to be wary against more radical rebels, such as the ones who killed innocent civilians in Liberated Sokolias. We realize these things happen, but it's best for all parties if civilian bloodshed is reduced as low as possible. "Members of the National Assembly, I understand that we have our reservations about East Sokolias, but I think it in the best interest of the stability of this region that we develop a doctrine of neutrality with our capitalist counterparts unless the time comes where they deteriorate further and our comrades need our assistance. Until then, I propose we accept the military pact as well as the reparations and agree not to start a civil war in their nation. I don't believe that is too much to commit too and I think we could benefit from this deal."

"I can't believe what I am hearing! You're seriously considering working with those capitalists and partnering with that corporate military? Chancellor, the Libertarian Party holds you in contempt." One MNA (Member of the National Assembly) rises up in indignation.

"That corporate military is our best shot of gaining a boost in manpower and you know it! Do you have any socialist alternatives? Didn't think so. We must consider the greater good of freeing Liberated Sokolias first and foremost. And then, we can abandon New Domica when they have outstayed their welcome. As for East Sokolias' proposition, I don't like it any more than the next guy, but we need to rebuild our infrastructure and it's best to keep an adversary close and have them helping us rather than them actively sabotaging us." Another MNA comes to the Chancellor's defense.

"Order! I think we've heard enough. Let's bring it to a vote." The Chancellor interjects. The MNAs then vote and the result is 350-150 for. The resolution passes with a majority in support, although they are reluctant.

The ambassador from West Sokolias to East Sokolias informs them on the vote. East Sokolias immediately sends reparations to the West Sokolias government, covertly lands troops in Liberated Sokolias territory held by the rebels and starts suring up their defenses and training them. East Sokolias moves troops off their border with West Sokolias, allowing them full access to their lands that are not de-militarized.

[Kinslavia]

Kinslavia’s ambassador in New Sokolias quickly responds to the new deal between the West and East. “This is absolutely disgusting. We have been allies ever sense the starting of Danubia-Slavia, and you wish to destroy that relationship? You know very well that those rebels who attacked your borders are being funded by the people you make a deal with? You also know very well that this little “deal” will only last until there is a resolution in Liberated Sokolias, as well? They will immediately turn on you because of their despise for capitalism. Their only goal is to reunite the terrible country we destroyed only a short time ago.do you remember what that country did? Do you remember the atrocities that it committed? The amount of soldiers that returned home, never to be the same again? Western Sokolias is no friend to a free, capitalist country.”
With that Gia Tyfre left New Sokolias’ capital to return home to Liberated Sokolias, her torn country.


A few days pass and Gia heres several claims of police officers and military personnel attacking Sokolian Natives, and looks into them. She makes an official response to the world later that day. “These claims of officers attacking people who have not provoked them are mostly Western Sokolias propaganda. Yes, I said mostly. I cannot deny that fact that, sadly, the Bakersfield incident is true. Those responsible have been arrested and are awaiting trial with no bail, including those that rushed the police officers, as they were at fault as well. I condemn both sides for what happened to the innocents that day. We will continue to find those in our police force who believe that they are better than others.


With the Civil War brewing and tensions only growing between The Rebellion and Liberated Sokolias, a group of rebels began attacking Jusa military base near Bakebays, Liberated Sokolias. They came armed with military rifles and grenades. Being untrained and never seeing a battlefield before, all 117 were killed, leaving only 3 killed and 13 injured Kinslavian soldiers. This was the final straw. Liberated Sokolias declared war on the Rebels, beginning The Liberated Civil War.

Kinslavia then shipped over its 108th, 105th, 103th, and 98th army divisions, fully comprised of 56,743 troops to it’s sovereign state of Liberated Sokolias, prepared to end the war as swiftly as possible. They have orders to do this with the least bloodshed as possible, and to hopefully scare the rebels into surrendering, even though everyone knows this will not work.
