Cyberpunk 2077. Hyped?

Was wondering what all of your opinions on Cyberpunk 2077 were. I don’t know about you, but I don’t care about any of the controversy surrounding the game, but rather, whether or not the game is going to be good. If the gaming industry has taught me anything, its that I can’t trust companies because what you see at E3 is never what you actually get come release day. However, I do honestly think that CDPR is different. The Witcher 3 was a great game, and I have high hopes for Cyberpunk as well. How about you guys?

Im looking forward to it and i expect it to be a good game, but people really need to keep their expectations for this game in check. I predict an absolute rage storm when the games come out because all these people going "yOu CaN dO aNyThInG iN CyBeRpUnK" to be incredibly disappointed.

I think preordering is just about the worst thing anyone can do. Especially after the catastrophe that was Fallout 76 and all the shit that went on for months with that game.

Pretty much this. I wait for reviews, the patch, the patch of the patch, the DLC, the gold edition, the reversed recognized and reorganized platium editions which then gets puts to sale.... before I am going to bother with it.

Probably when I am bored enough to try out this game that was hyped a year ago or so. By then its also good. Too.

You should only preorder Nintendo games, they never let you down. Except federation force, but no one had much hope for that anyway.

I do indeed have a healthy amount of paranoia about Cyberpunk 2077.

CD Projekt Red is not guiltless, after all, they have their own shady practices and culture, especially when it comes to "crunch", whatever they believe that means; usually, it means they force people to work ridiculous amount of unpaid over-time due to poor design planning, budgeting, and scheduling.

Nobody knew what an inefficient nightmare LA Noire was until the news came out... And the worst part is, the guy behind it all, Brendon McNamara of Team Bondi, still thinks he's not in the wrong and he's still getting work, despite the fact he was a perfect example of an abusive, terrible, dead-weight boss that promoted terrible working environments.

These kinds of working environments might SOMETIMES create good games, but more likely than not, they result in mediocre games that could have been great if only the production was more focused, instead of having it veer off into abusive or ulterior territory.

We haven't heard much from CD Projekt Red employees, which might be a good thing, but it's best to wait until release... And to not pre-order. ESPECIALLY when there's some kind of scheme involved in pre-ordering.
