-The Première Ligue de Soccer (PLS) commissioner, Donald Garnier, announced that from 2030 every team's stadiums in the league have to have at least 12 500 seats, no exceptions. Teams who do not upgrade their stadium to at least 12 500 seats by 2030 will be relegated. Championship teams will not be able to promote to the PLS if their stadium don't have at least 12 500 seats, unless they agree with another team to rent their stadium.

- Real Yamaska have been sold to a new ownership. The club will be renamed Celtix de la Haute-Yamaska and they will change their colors to green and white.

- Celtix de la Haute-Yamaska announced they're starting to build a brand new stadium. The temporary name is Nouveau Stade Chèvrefils and will have 13 150 seats. The stadium will be ready in september 2029.

- KS Ursus Trzeszczyn announced they will upgrade Stadion Miejski Trzeszczyn from 10 400 seats to 12 400 seats. The upgrade will be complete in september 2028. The team will play at Miejski Stadion Sportowy KSZT in Trzebiegoszcz for the 2027-28 season during the renovations.

- Kaszubia Ostroszowice and Zawisza Krzyz Wielkokaszubski, both located in the same metropolitan area, announced their plan to merge both clubs together for the 2028-29 season. The merged team will play at Kaszubia Ostroszowice's stadium, Stadion Miejski Ostroszowice. The stadium holds 12 165 seats.

- The merged team will operate under Zawisza Krzyz Wielkokaszubski's liscense, while Kaszubia Ostroszowice is expected to sell it's liscense to an amateur team who will join the Championship.

Top 6 SFL Teams

Ville Jacques-Cartier, DC - With the 2027 season starting after the World Bowl, it's not too early to present my top 6 SFL teams.

1. Wloszczowa Blue Bombers

Offense: 1st
Defense: 6th
Overall: 1st

The Wloszczowa Blue Bombers are Haylie Woo's team and she's the best quarterback in the nation. She has good chemistry with wide reciever Lamarcus McGee. The run offense isn't bad either with Nehemie "Rush" Rushenguziminega. They also have a good offensive line who can protect both Woo and Rush. Defensively they aren't bad either with linebacker Nick Knox and left end Fernando Peña.

2. Vukosavljevica Renegades

Offense: 3rd
Defense: 5th
Overall: 2nd

The most notable change for the Vukosavljevica Renegades this season is their name change. They were previously known as the Vukosavljevica Dolphins. Offensitely, the Renegades are led by quarterback Wyatt Schulze-Lichtenberg and wide reciever Demetrius Thomas-Jackson. Like the Blue Bomber, their rushing game isn't bad either with Za'Niyah McCullers, and left tackle Emilio Sanchez is one of the best in the league. Defensively, they have some of the best linebackers in the league: Julianna Olszewska-Kacperczyk, Ryan Schimmelpfennig, Jorge Ramirez and Zach Luc.

3. Beach City Lions

Offense: 2nd
Defense: 8th
Overall: 3rd

Offensively, the BC Lions are almost as good as the Blue Bombers. They're led by quarterback Tyquavious Wilderbralthwait who previously set the record for the most rushing yards by a quarterback. Carlos McDowell is his main receiving asset and the running game is pretty good either with Quintavious Puckett. Left tackle is Connor Zagzebski, the best one in the league. Defensively, they're average, being ranked 8th out of 16 teams. Their best players are corner back Kennisha Hawkins-Henderson, linebacker Kingsley Thompson-Clarke and defensive tackle Eugeniusz Wasilewski.

4. Baie-Verte Packers

Offense: 13th
Defense: 1st
Overall: 4th

When you say the Packers, I say defense. Offensively, both quarterback Wes McDermott and Krzysztof Szklarczyk are weak. However, Adetokunbo Okwara-Koramoah is a good running back and they have an above average offensive line led by center Logan Wroblewski. Their defense is their strenght, the bave the best outside linebackers in the league with Jaxton McFolley and Nehemiah Charles. Their cornerbacks Ja'Kevious O'Reilly and Kevin McGinnis are also among the best.

5. Szentgyörgyvölgy 49ers

Offense: 10th
Defense: 3rd
Overall: 5th

Riley Cacciarelli is a below average quarterback, however he has the chance to throw the football to the best receiver in the league, Louis-Philip Laframboise-Deschamps, who'se only 23. Mieczysław Zborowski is a good running back. Defensively it's another story, they,re among the best in the league. Right end Keyshawn Woodcock-Hunter, nose tackle Nick Wrzuszczak and middle linebacker Stanislaw Strzelczyk are all on the national team. Linebacker Jimmy Orr and cornerback Broghean McLaughlin are good too.

6. Shelburne Hotshots

Offense: 7th
Defense: 4th
Overall: 6th

James Wilson is a good quarterback and wide reciever Darius Williams IV is a good weapon for him. Their running game is led by Artavious Kendrick and they have one of the best center in the league in Karter Szczyrbak. They has a very good defense, especially against passing. The defense is led by cornerback DeShawn Lewis-Harris, safeties Gabriel Beausoleil-Brillant and Kendrick Floyd Jr. and right end Brock Wickenheiser.

Top 6 worst SFL teams

Ville Jacques-Cartier - A month ago, I presented my top 6 best SFLteams. Here is my top 6 of worst SFL teams for the 2027 season. The team ranked #1 is the team most likely to get the first overall draft pick for the 2028 draft, which could be either Tristan Piquette-De Bordeaux, Charles-Xavier Gaouette or Włodzisław Staszczyk.

1. Alouettes de Prévost

Offense: 14th
Defense: 15th
Overall: 16th

The Alouettes are just mediocre years after years. In 2026, they drafted quarterback François-Xavier Gourdeau 3rd overall and in 2025 they drafted quarterback Katherine Reinkensmeyer 5th overall but neither one has emerged as a viable quarterback. However, this year could be Gourdeau's break out year. Offensively, they have the best running back in the league in Montavious McBryde, and a good wide receiver, Sheldrick Ferguson-McCloud but the rest of the offense is mediocre. Defensively, they're the worst in the league and the only good defensive player they have is Eldrick McLeod.

2. Roxboro Claymores

Offense: 12th
Defense: 16th
Overall: 15th

The Claymores are one of the worst team in the SFL. Offensively, their best players are center Dragomir Živković and quarterback Logan Gajcak but he has no one to throw to, he's not supported by the running offense and, excluding Živković, the offensive line is weak . Defensively, cornerback Marquavious McDonough, right end Wyatt McKnelly and lineback Za'carrius Ferguson-McGruder aren't bad but they aren't top players.

3. Krzczonow Green Ducks

Offense: 15th
Defense: 9th
Overall: 14th

Krzczonow has one of the most promising offensive player in the nation, running back Catherine Desjardins-Fleury, who they drafted 1st overall in 2026. But the rest of the team isn't really good offensively. Defensively they're average. Middle linebacker Hayden Ferguson and defensive tackles Blake Steinhaus and Karolina Rozwandowicz are their best players defensively.

4. Eskimos d'Oujé-Bougoumou

Offense: 9th
Defense: 13th
Overall: 13th

Coconut Riddick is now retired but Guillaume Drolet is also a good running back. Other than him, wide receiver Aphonso McCormack and tackle Evelyn Kallenberger are good at their position.Tyson Konz is aging. Defensively, their best player is linebacker Hunter McInnis.

5. Trzeszczyn Kats

Offense: 8th
Defense: 12th
Overall: 12th

Jennifer Killebrew is obviously the best player on the team but their quarterback, J.D. McCloud, and the other offensive players on the team are average. Defensively, linebackers Zarrian Dunlap and Elzbieta Klobukowska are good.

6. Saints de Jacques-Cartier

Offense: 11th
Defense: 10th
Overall: 11th

Offensively, their best player is wide receiver Kentre'vious McCullum. Left tackle Charles-Antoine Ringuette, drafted 4th overall in 2025 is promising. Defensively, cornerback Shaquille McCauley III and linebacker Kwashaun McFadden are their best players.

Ligue Septentrionale de football 2027 season results

Week by week

*There's 16 teams divided in 2 conferences. Each teams play 2 games against their own conference teams and 1 game against the opposite conference for a total of 22 games.
**The scorinator didn't plan a bye week, but I've decided half of the teams will have a bye on week 14 and the other half on week 15.
***Last season started the last week of july but this season will start a week earlier and will have a 3 weeks bye in august because of the olympiads that were held in Banija and Liventia.
****The World Bowl XL was played before the olympiad, from march to early july.

There's a lot of parity in this league and we have some surprise. Last year's northern bowl winner, Szentgyörgyvölgy 49ers, missed the playoffs and will draft 4th overall. Wloszczowa Blue Bombers, which has the best offense and one of the best defense (on paper) also missed the playoffs. Some of the worst teams - Alouettes de Prévost and Eskimos d'Oujé-Bougoumou - made the playoffs.

American Football: Welcome of the 2028 Ligue Septentrionale de Football (LSF) entry draft! It consists of 4 rounds but here's the 1st round only. It's held in march 2028 (it occurs after the current NSCF season which is currently around the end of december with the bowls being played).

Note: After being drafted, players have the option to put an end to the college career and participate in their teams' training camp or stay in college for another year or two. If they participate in their team's training camp and fails to make the roster, they can either play in the AFL (arena) or XFL (minor league) but the team who drafted them still owns their rights. If they decide to stay in college, the team who drafted them still owns their rights.

-Last offseason, it was announced that the Eskimos d'Oujé-Bougoumou was going to change their team name to Dragons d'Oujé-Bougoumou. They still competed as Eskimos d'Oujé-Bougoumou for the 2027 season, but the change has now been processed.

-Baie-Verte Packers' ownership announced the team was sold to new investors. The new ownership moved the team to a larger market, Yamaska, and renamed the team Rhinos de Yamaska. The team will wear orange and black uniforms. A new stadium, which will be named Stade Yoshi Sushi, will be build. It will have 38 125 seats and construction will be completed for the 2030 season. Yoshi Sushi is a sushi restaurant chain, they operates 26 Yoshi Sushi restaurants in Terre Septentrionale. Meanwhile, the team will play at the CÉPSUHY, which have 32 500 seats. CÉPSUHY is the home stadium of the Carabins de l'Université de la Haute-Yamaska and it's an acronym meaning Centre de l'Éducation Physique et des Sports de l'Université de la Haute-Yamaska.

The 1st line consisfs of Virginie Woodbury and the Zyskowska twins: Emilia and Melania, and is considered to be the best line in the league. The top defense pairing is Krzysztof Klepczynski on the right and Czeslaw Szerszenowicz on the left. Natalia Mroczkowska is in the net. the bad thing about this team is that they're all 29 years old and over.

The IceHogs are the best of the rest. Offensively, the leam is led by Peter Szczesny, Kasandra Wojcinowicz (2nd overall pick in 2019) and Zuzanna Skrynkowicz. The Éclairs are a relatively young team. Similar to the Yamaska Swamp Rabbits, the Grizzlies aren't that good offensively but they have a very strong defense. Their offensive leaders are Karolina Strzyzowska (6th overall pick in 2020), Walter McManus (6th overall pick in 2019) and Gus Kirkpatrick (8th overall pick in 2022). Their defensive leaders are Elizabeth Yamamoto (3rd overall pick in 2021), Keaton Brind'Amour (3rd overall pick in 2019) and goalkeeper Jennifer Ciccarelli, who signed with the Grizzlies as a free agent around 2024.

Stoczniowiec have been mediocre recently and they're unable to turn things around. They have two of the best promising centers: Świętosław Pomerleau-Kozikowski (2nd overall pick in 2027) and Agnieszka Straszyńska-Kowalik (3rd overall pick in 2026), however they have bad goaltending.

2. Trzebiegoszcz Bears:

Offense: 16th
Defense: 13th
Overall: 15th

The Bears, once one of the top team in the league, have aged really badly. Their offense really sucks, Their defense is bad too, but Julie-Anne Labelle-Binette (1st overall pick in 2027) is very promising. Their goalies are really bad either, but they have Nikola Sakic (7th overall pick in 2026) playing for their affiliate team in the North Coast League.

3. Catherinois de Longueuil:

Offense: 9th
Defense: 16th
Overall: 14th

Offensively le CH is ok. Kristina Jarvis-Lanouette is a good veteran, Roksana Nowakowska-Mikolajczyk (1st overall pick in 2024) will be a top player in the future. Defensively and between the pipes, they just sucks. However, goalie Kyra Wenczkowski (2nd overall pick in 2025) has a bright future.

4. North Stars Rzodkiewnica:

Offense: 8th
Defense: 14th
Overall: 13th

The North Stars are similar to Longueuil. Offensively, they aren't bad with Mason Kellenberger (4th overall pick in 2020) and they even looks promising with Marie-Sarah Laplante-Deschamps (4th overall pick in 2026) and Wiesława Mieczkowska (5th overall pick in 2027). Their defense is actually bad, but it looks promising too with Stephanie McGrath-Wright (6th overall pick in 2024) and Evan Jaeger (5th overall pick in 2025).

5. Nordiques d'Oujé-Bougoumou:

Offense: 7th
Defense: 11th
Overall: 12th

The Nords never been a top team and they recently wasted two 1st round draft pick (in 2024 and 2025) to acquire an aging veteran who was unable to help this team win. Their winning window opportunity has closed and they're now one of the worst team in the league. Ofensively they're still good with veterans Pierre-Marc Carbonneau and Frédérique Brassard. Their best player for the future is Žiga Kovačevič (3rd overall pick in 2027). Pier-Olivier Laframboise (8th overall pick in 2026) will have a good future too.

6. Loups de Jacques-Cartier :

Offense: 6th
Defense: 12th
Overall: 11th

This team is aging. Their best players are actually Pierre Sanschagrin, 34 years old, and Antoine Lusignan, 33 years old. In the future, Sarah-Lou Têtu (7th overall pick in 2027) is their most promising player.
