In my game, players choose goals at the beginning of the game. For instance - Your goals may be: Socialism, Nationalism, Open Borders, Religious, Isolationist. At the end of the the game, the future each track is closer to your goal, the more points you are rewarded.

Throughout the game, players will write legislation and then vote on it. If the vote passes, the various tracks will be moved in either direction depending on the type of legislation that is passed.

I'd love to get your thoughts on the political dimensions below. I'm trying to keep it to around 12 total. Am I missing any? Should any be changed? Any quasi-duplicates? The dimensions in order are:

- Economy
- Education & Healthcare
- Diversity
- Privacy & Freedom
- Immigration & Borders
- Energy & Environment
- Trade
- Civil Rights
- Focus (for lack of better words)
- Religion / Church & State
- Military & Foreign Relations
- Taxation

Thanks!!

I’d love to see a political ideology test based around this.

An actual virtual board game, following the footsteps of Cards Against NationStates. Unlike Cards Against NationStates, however, it obviously has to have a high retention rate, as in that the players want to come back and play again.

This would be a great idea! For example, you’re playing the game, you can write your nation name on one side of the board with whiteboard marker or something. In the game, you can actually declare war on another player with infantry and planes and stuff. Last player to not cease to exist wins, I guess.

Imagine all the advancements in board game design and technology in the past four years! With so many amazing games hitting the market, it's only a matter of time before someone takes inspiration from NationStates and crafts a tabletop gem.

I know the thread's a little old but I gotta say, that idea you brought up is fantastic! Creating a board game centered around NationStates would be an epic experience! Picture this: you and your crew gathered around the table, strategizing, and having a blast while building your nations, competing, and maybe even cooperating.
