It was locked by a moderator, because this is a forum to discuss drafts for proposals, not to have polls or gather opinions on a certain topic.

I would suggest you familiarise yourself with the rules (found here) first, then come up with a draft proposal which can be discussed by the community, and open up a new topic.

(Also, setting an age-limit on marriage would be illegal under current WA legislation, so that idea is probably not the best one.)

You can draft the proposal then get feedback, the proposal doesn't have to perfect, also remember to pop into the passed general assembly resolutions thread to check if your idea has already been done

(OOC: For a start, setting a marriage age at all isn’t allowed, so your proposal is a nonworking idea from the start, due to contradiction of GA law. However, assuming your idea wasn’t prohibited, it still isn’t allowed due to opinion threads being locked generally. With a draft, you could have left a blank space for the actual age and asked people for their opinion then, instead of just posting an idea.

In the future, I recommend that you stay a while commenting on proposals and gaining experience, and then maybe draft a proposal once the necessary knowledge has been gained. Although this idea isn’t possible, don’t be dissuaded from trying others.)

Everybody else has pretty much summarized everything that needs to be said. A general "opinion on <topic>" thread does not belong in the GA. Post a draft of a proposal, then you can collect feedback on the topic and refine your proposal further.
