This is an RP based on an international human trafficking ring. The ring centers in my nation, Sali and Koconos. Sali and Koconos are ruled by the descendants of a White Rajah. The Rajah rules through his ministers, but shares power with the parliament. It is plagued by corruption and is considered underdeveloped.
The human trafficking ring is to some extent triangular and mostly deals with prostitution. The favorite tactic is to offer young women a job in a wealthy country, and then force them into prostitution when they arrive. Thus the victims mostly are smuggled from poorer to wealthier nations. However, port cities with lax prostitution laws are also favorite destinations.
The main plot of the RP would be the discovery and attempt to dismantle the ring. I have already planned for major political consequences in my country.

My plan is first to follow a single human trafficking victim as she is kidnapped and trafficked first to S&K and then later to at least one other country. She is then rescued by law enforcement. As her case is publicized, there is outrage in both the country she was rescued in and her home country. Both start a crack down on trafficking. Law enforcement starts to trace her route. This is then when the rp, would really get going. As the investigation continues, the underworld will fight back, but also each other. Of course, tension will also exist between the governments, especially as politicians shift blame. Parts of the ring in certain countries will survive, practically untouched, others will be rooted out.

The ring as I imagine it consists of several criminal organizations working together as well as individual criminals, so they work with local criminals. For example, a victim could be recruited by one organization, that sells him or her to an organization that transports the victim to another country to sell him/her there. Because a high official is involved in the Sali and Koconos part and its position in shipping lanes, S&K acts as a sort of hub. Because of how jurisdiction works, if you are involved in this thread, then a local part of the ring operates in your country. There is no justification for your nation to get investigate a crime in another country. The criminals will be tried in the country or countries where they committed the crime. This thread has mostly to do with INVESTIGATION and DIPlOMACY. This is NOT a war thread. Your governments involvement should start with the uncovering of elements of the ring in your own nation. That said we should also try and create a coherent storyline. To that end, we must work together in this OOC thread. Ask other nations questions before posting.
An important note, some have referred to the human trafficking ring, this implies that there is only one ring, and that the government already knows about it. At the early stage of the investigation, it would only be a human trafficking ring. Your investigators should only uncover one piece of the puzzle at a time.
If you just wanted to use overpowered military force to arrest people on foreign soil, then you are welcome to start your own RP and leave this one. No hard feelings.
