Khan, Commander of the Order of Saladin, Khan-Tureh is getting married to Fatimah, ward of Foreign Minister Alexander Khan.

Of course, while Fatimah herself was largely unawares, the postponing of the wedding was largely due to the elaborate betrothal and Khastegāri. Formal negotiation for the dowry, as well as the wedding itself, was officiated by both Suleiman's and Fatimah's friends and guardians. Ultimately, it was decided that much of the facilities were rented out by the Saranidians themselves, while much of the local cuisine and the henna. There was a small ceremony between the honourable Amallah Saleh ibn-Umar Al-Salek and Dr. Firdaus ibn-Umar Al-Salek - representing Suleiman's family - and those of Fatimah's house. The bride and the groom were absent, Fatimah being prepared by her maids and Suleiman mingling with the guests.

The clatter of hooves against the cobble was rather quiet compared to the rumble of the motor-cars through the city. It did not matter to the two men riding them-their ancestors had ridden to war on horseback for centuries and they weren't about to throw tradition away for a fancy new motor-car. Both had scarves wrapped around their face, but from the pale skin and the sabres one could tell that they were scions of the Commonwealth.
As they arrived at the mosque, they both pulled off their scarves in one fluid motion. One had slightly Asiatic features, marking him as a Lipka Tatar. The other was purely European-and judging from the lack of stereotypical German features(among them a sharp nose), he was likely Polish-Lithuanian.
They entered the mosque after securing their horses to a streetlamp, and upon entering they both unsheathed their sabres and pointed them to the sky.
Both locked their eyes with Sully, and gave a cheer, grinning as they did so.

It was a patriotic sentiment amongst Dancerians, Pagan and Christian, to consider themselves two emperors of Europe, having both been the oldest continued line (at least, in spirit, from the Holy Roman Empire and the old Kievans). While many Muslims in Danceria were of external ethnicities, either oft-overlooked in the Caucasian mountains, or of Persian descent. Suleiman considered himself more Persian than Dancerian, but he wasn't about to ruin somebody's day over it. "Abu, Mohammad. Glad to see you both could make it! Hopefully not so long of a trip." The two occupied rather prestigious points in Suleiman's life, being the few guy friends he hung out with in the School of Insurgency. Since then, whenever Saranidia promoted him, he made sure that Mohammad and Abu were not far behind. "Made it just in time, try the cutlets! Fresh Caucasian cattle, fattened from day one! You haven't lived until you've had an Al-Saleki steak..."

A Rolls-Royce Ghost pulled up to the curb outside the mosque, painted in a calm two-tone silver-gray and cream.
A few heads may have turned as Saanvi Anand, clad in a colorful blue-and-pink sari with a black-and-white translucent wrap and a more modest green shawl and head covering, complete with silver jewelry and a small silver diadem stepped out of the car. She bid her driver good-bye with a kind smile and the passing of a tip in American dollars, as the petite Indian-Pakistani slung a purse over her shoulder.

A block away or so, a taxi's door was pushed open, as Fathallah Al-Balushi paid his fare. He was dressed in a white turban and a white shirt, aviator sunglasses, a colorful red sash and belt, the latter bearing his Smatchet and a training sword, alongside the holsters for his pistol, as well as a navy-blue blazer, matching shorts, and a red neckerchief that matched the belt and sash. A CZ vz. 58 was slung over his shoulder, one a familiar amongst Kalashnikovs in this Middle Eastern territory.

They gave each other a short glance amongst their fellow School of Insurgency students, before walking into the mosque and showing their invitations.

An olive-skinned face observed the ceremony through a telescopic sight. Fingers draped in red leather gloves practiced trigger discipline.

Harper Denslow backed up a little from his chair, setting down the crossbow for a moment to make sure he wasn't revealed by scope glint. His full dress uniform, that of a Junior Field Marshal in the Asha-Wangian Armed Forces, slightly modeled that of the British Royal Armed Forces, but admittedly a bit on the flashy side, which his superiors pressed in his face at every turn. His red sash (which concealed a bandolier of .45 ACP magazines and bullets), and tie, with a white-and-gold belt clashed elegantly against his jet-black uniform, white dress shirt, and gold medals, pins, buttons, and embellishments, alongside his fiberglass quiver of arrows and the two holsters on his belt. A matching jet-black beret with a golden pin of the Angel's Alliance dove and red patch was perched on his tuft of black hair. On the more practical side, a pair of gold aviators and a red shemagh covered his face. Spit-shined black jump boots with a tiny strip of steel broguing tapped impatiently on the sandstone wall below jet-black trousers that matched his uniform well.

It was part of the psychological effect, he had reasoned. All of it.
Besides, she would like it, as he told himself.

His hand brushed his aviators, invisibly opening up a radio channel via an earpiece.

"Our leading lady and gentleman have arrived; approaching package. Sector clear, zero threats. Let's hear yours."

Two more voices rang out.
"Sector clear."
"Sector clear."

Harper spoke again. "Comms secure, Aisha?"
"Comms secure so far." A third voice said.

"We don't see her, Boss." One of the connected operatives said, a bit jokingly.

"She has her ways. She's probably watching all of us right now." Harper remarked.

"Fancy you getting that date, lad."

She grinned at Harper. "Someone's show'n off, 'eh?"

A young, blonde girl, maybe 16 or 17, dressed in a slightly battered feldbluse, abruptly cast off her camo netting. A SR-25 was slung across her back.
She grinned at Harper. "Someone's show'n off, 'eh?"

Harper’s face almost immediately turned red at the sight of her. He took a step back, a bit startled, but broke into a wide, slightly awkward grin.
“Erika… Nice seeing you here.”

“Wait-“ he started again- “I swear, I’ve checked that spot at least four or five times when I was performing recon and mission prep."

“You’re welcome, mate.” A jovial chuckle came over the radio. “Keep your eyes on the real prize, Commander.”

A few light chuckles, giggles, and "oohs" came from the radio.

"Um..." Saanvi blushed slightly, smiling and showing bright teeth. "Yes, yes I am. So far, seems to be a nice place with a few good classes I could get used to."
