I will open the IC soon.

Great by the way what's the general architecture we can expect from heaven, is it going to be futuristic or much more like heaven in the traditional way?

Harold Holt
Account Name: Arkhastok
Occupation: Former Prime Minister of Australia, Constitutional Commisioner
Faction (if applicable): None yet (We can create our own faction anytime in the RP right?)

Family: Zara Bate (former spouse), Andrew Holt, Nicholas Holt, Sam Holt (children)
Background: Holt was born on the 5 August 1908 in Stanmore, Sydney, Australia. Early in his life, he was already involved in politics joining the Young Nationalists in 1933. During World War Two, he enlisted in the militia but was never involved in combat. In December 1958, Holt was awarded with the position of Treasurer and eventually in 1966, Prime Minister. However, he disappeared mysteriously on December 17 1967 after swimming at Cheviot Beach. Many theories erupted from the media about his disappearance, including bizarre ones such as alien abduction. However, what simply happened was a drowning in which he then proceeded to the afterlife.

Lel, this sounds hilarious. Tagged. It's good to see you again, Vienna.
I use my NationStates stats, because a population of billions/trillions and an economy of hundreds of trillions is totally viable, trust me.
But seriously, aside from the population and GDP, just assume that my NS stats are roughly accurate.

    Support: Paleo-imperialism, conservatism, libertarianism, Christianity.
Against: Stupid people, resistance to industrial progress, alt-right, any form of government at or beyond socialism.

I hail from The League of Conservative Nations. Hearts unthawed, hearts unshaken!

    Jeffrey L. Okelson
    Image

    Account Name: Zjaum
    Occupation: Constitutional Commissioner
Faction (if applicable): Scientific Explanatory Association

Family: Theresa Y. (wife), Naphtali E. (son), Dorcas D. (daughter)
Background: This man was given the thankless assignment of his church to the internet community, specifically to the deepest regions of the "skeptosphere". He was promptly tasked by his target audience to explain literally everything in the Bible through a scientific lens, and to explain the skeptics' set of supposed biblical inconsistencies, if he was to have a hope to convert them. He set about on this monumental task as thoroughly as he possibly could. It's a big book. A lesser man would have lost his sanity.

But... look at him. Okelson is the epitome of "lesser."

All the while, he maintained his arduous day job as an information technology clerk at an international corporation. He was never given much attention, and his rebuttal compendium was the climax of his life's work. Nobody really listened when he posted it online. A very slim minority was impressed, but skeptic YouTubers had already taken the "W" prematurely and left the argument, leaving him to his sad, lonesome self.

At this point, out of a strong desire never to do this sort of thing again, and in the practically-nonexistent hope that the atheist community will take religion seriously, he applied for this position, hellbent on ensuring that even the wildest decrees of the heavenly parliament had a consistent explanation in science.
    Faith: Mormon

Miscellaneous Jeffrey is lactose intolerant and plays Lions and Labyrinths, the Christian version of Dungeons and Dragons. In fact, he wrote a rule book and played an influential part in developing its latest edition.

Seems interesting, definitely. What kind of characters are not allowed? For example, Mao, Kim il-Sung..?

I would say they'd be allowed. The line is probably drawn at the particularly serious (ex. a real life child who commit suicide), since this is a decidedly non-serious roleplay.

        Sven the Sacrificer
        Image

        Account Name: Barapam
Occupation: Former viking king, nowadays a Constitutional Commissioner in Heaven.
Faction (if applicable): LDD. He's open to cooperate with other factions.

        Family: Wife: Helena Stenkilsdotter
        Children: Erik, Cecilia, Ulf.
Background: Briefly king of Sweden during the late Viking Age. It began when his brother in law, king Inge, who was married to Sven's sister Helena (Sven's wife, the sister of Inge, was incidentally also named Helena) became king. Inge was a devout Christian, and enacted many anti-pagan policies. What especially came to upset the Swedes, was his refusal to lead the nine-yearly super-sacrifice in the temple of Uppsala (something previous Christian viking kings - or at least those who got baptized simply for better foreign relations, had agreed to do). He was faced with an ultimatum: Lead the sacrifice or abdicate. At this point Sven saw an opportunity, and said that he could lead the sacrifice if he became king. Said and done, the Swedes elected him instead, and Inge found himself out in the cold.

The relationship between Sven and Inge had been quite good up to this point, they were good friends once, and had married each other's sisters, but now it quickly detoriated. Sven only got to rule for three years, until he was killed when Inge ordered his men to burn down Sven's house, as a mean to retake the throne (it worked. Sven's son ruled for a little while, but then the limelight was back on Inge).

He hasn't been very politically active in the afterlife, and is quite surprised to have been chosen to be a part of the divine government, but he'll try to do his very best.
        Faith: Norse paganism

Miscellaneous (Semi-mythical person who may or may not have existed. The sources differ on who his father (and many other relatives) was, so I left his patronymic surname out.)

          Liberal Democrats for Divinity
          Image

          Leaders: Sven the Sacrificer
Purpose: The LDD stands for religious freedom and tolerance, and advocates a strong, but not too interfering, divine government which is democratically elected. The goal is a creation of law, order and freedom, in perfect balance.
Ideology: Mainly social liberalism, democratic capitalism, centrism and populism, but the party is also, to various degrees, influenced by several philosophies from all over.

          Miscellaneous
Although not a party with a cult of personality, it's not a secret that its leader, Sven, has his eyes on godhood.
