Favorite Pixar Movies

Postby Buffett and Colbert » Thu Jun 25, 2009 2:53 pm

Despite what you may think, these movies are not for kids! XD The hidden jokes are often hilarious. I, however, can't decide on my favorite. It's between Cars and Ratatouille. What are your opinions?

I like WALL-E a lot, just hated the parts with the robot romance. I wanted more of the end of the world, which is why I liked fallout so much.

I've never seen a pixar movie. I suspect I wouldn't like any of them however.

I like Cars because I get all the references, I thought Wall-E was well done. That magic rabbit short and the one man band short had me laughing to tears. Up was endearing.

Toy Story II.
Sadly and frustratingly for me, UP ! has not been released here yet, it's advertised as coming soon but no one knows when.

Toy Story. Up was pretty amazing too. The Incredibles also ranks up there. There isn't one Pixar movie I haven't enjoyed.

I'm going tog go with Toy Story and Monsters Inc is also up there.

I remember seeing the Pixar "movies" on Sesame Street, those little bits with the pixar lamp.

Agreed. If I HAD to choose though, I'd orobably pick Monsters Inc or the Incredibles. Pretty close race there, but the Incredible probably wins because of Edna.

WALL-E, didn't watch UP.

The first part of Wall-E was amazing, with this portrayal of a post-apocalyptic world left by humanity, the second part with what humanity has become is also excellent, but the ending is kinda mehish.

Monsters, Inc.
Good story, good script, the voices of Goodman and Crystal, and the animated kid, "Boo", is just so darn cute.

I've not seen all of the Pixar movies (Cars, Wall-E and Up) but I do love The Incredibles.

Any "kids cartoon" that has dialogue like the extract below has to be special.

Remember the bad guys on the shows you used to watch on Saturday mornings? Well, these guys aren't like those guys. They won't exercise restraint because you are children. They will kill you if they get the chance. Do not give them that chance.

Incredibles is my favourite. Monsters, Inc. is a close second. Wall-E a close third.

Then there's a little gap, and Finding Nemo and Cars...

Then there's another little gap and the Toy Story movies.

Incredibles and WALL-E. To be honest, I'd have to agree with TheCapitalWasteland about the Robot Romance. I liked the whole State Capitalism feeling of it (Where a single corporation, in this case Buy n' Large, controls everything.)

Actually, when your kids graduate from "people in costumes singing" to Pixar and Dreamworks animation it's a helluva relief so I have a soft spot in my heart for most of them. Monsters Inc is a great movie though :D
