Gallie Radicals and Authorities clash in Kork!

7:37 AM, 25th of January of the Year of Our Lord 2019.

This was the date when police forces of the Flussmündung National Office of Investigation (FNOI) engaged in a swift but heated fight amidst the urban jungle of Kork, county capital. Federal authorities had been tracking multiple cases of illegal procurement of weapons from across the county and followed the evidence to a Gallien man, Eaban mac Brian. Police approached his apartment room early in the morning with a warrant for his arrest, Eaban violently resisted but we was eventually subdued and taken to the county penitentiary where he awaits trial. Eaban had several people in his apartment who assisted Eaban in his violent resistance and were also subsequently arrested (4 men total, including Eaban), they are still being identified and also await trial in prison. No officers of the FNOI were killed, although several were wounded. A large quantity of illegally smuggled weapons was found in the apartment.

Official statements from the FNOI have declared that there is strong evidence that Eaban and his guests were members of the Great Fianna, linking this organization to yet another clash with national and local authorities across Gallie. The FNOI further declares that this statement is not meant to single out the Great Fianna, but to highlight the spread of violent ideologies, such as those espoused by the Gallien Liberation Army, among some of the most respected members of Gallien society. The FNOI hopes to work with the leadership of the Great Fianna in subduing this infiltration of their proud organization by extremist militants.

Radical groups have claimed this is part of a police campaign to systematically target political radicals, police have not yet responded to these claims.
